LIVING THE TRUTH

FOR I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY TO LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD AND TO KEEP HIS COMMANDS, DECREES AND REGULATIONS BY WALKING IN HIS WAYS.” DEUTERONOMY 30:16

THEY WILL ACT RELIGEOUS BUT THEY WILL REJECT THE POWER THAT COULD MAKE THEM GODLY. STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE LIKE THAT.” 2 TIMOTHY 3:5

Do you know anyone who talks the talk but refuses to walk the walk? Knowing the Lord is not a religion. Knowing Christ is a relationship. It is a way of life. People can quote scriptures all day long and look as religeous as they want but, if they are not living the life of which they are professing, then they are not living in a true relationship with Christ. We are told to know others by their fruits. I love to watch old westerns. One of my favorites is the Lone Ranger. He would often say “don’t judge me by my mask but by my actions.” The same is true for those of us who truly know Jesus. We must not only know what the word of God says but we must be faithful and put those ways into action. We must walk the walk. Scripture tells us to stay away from those who reject the power. Yes, we should witness to others and I believe we should never give up. But, if others are agreeing with the message and rejecting the actions necessary to make them godly, then we probably shouldn’t be hanging out with them. Our true relationship with Jesus demands us to live a life representing his fruits. We should surround ourselves with those who are producing good fruit and not bad. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!
