SPEAKING FROM THE HEART

BUT THE WORDS YOU SPEAK COME FROM THE HEART- THAT’S WHAT DEFILES YOU. ” MATTHEW 15:18

As we continue to train ourselves up in the Lord we fill our spirits with all of the good things of our God. We fill ourselves with peace and understanding, joy, forgiveness, love for others, compassion and purity. As these things of God penetrate our soul then our spirit will take over and control our actions and words. Our desires will change from the lusting after things of this world to a desire of more things from the Lord. What we speak will reflect what we have filled our lives with. If we have allowed the things of this world to control our lives then our speech will reflect what desires and worldly things we have allowed in. We will speak negatively, without forgivness for others. Our words will reflect language that allows unruly things into our lives. However, if we have filled ourselves with the things of our God in heaven then our speech will reflect our compassion for others, our love and joy for the good things of God here on earth. We want those around us to see and hear the things of God. We want our actions to display the fruits from our Lord. We want our speech to reflect what God has given us and use our words to build others up and not tear them down. Let us stay close to God and allow him to be a part of our lives each and everyday. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
