” BECAUSE HE LOVES ME , SAYS THE lORD, I WILL RESCUE HIM; I WILL PROTECT HIM FOR HE ACKNOWLEDGES MY NAME. ” PSALM 91:14
It is sometimes very difficult to believe in the things of God. He has made us as human beings living in a world surrounded by doubt. We are living in a world where the devil is running around spreading fear and confusion We are taught from a very early age that seeing is believing. So, most of our life is spent trying to prove things because we are actually seeing them first hand. However when we go through the conversion of accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior we are asked to have a faith to believe the unseen. This is not a characteristic that just happens because we are now followers of Christ. We have to work at this. As new Christians we get excited about Jesus. But, as we work through our relationship with him we must grow to a point where we believe that he is actually working on our behalf. We did not see Christ hanging on that cross but we believe it. We were not on this earth to watch his rise from the grave, but we believe it. As we read through the scriptures it is very easy to read and gloss over the words as though we were reading a novel. The Bible is much more than that. It is the living, breathing word of God. The words are not just words. They are promises and blessings for our everyday lives. Our Lord never promised that we would go through this life without problems. He never promised that we would not be confronted about our beliefs. He never promised that we could snap our fingers and then he would take care of all of our issues. But he did promise that he would give us strength in our times of need. He promised that if we believe he will take us by the hand and lead us down the path we are treading. Our Lord has performed miracles and continues to perform miracles. What we have to remember is that miracles come in many shapes and sizes. They show up in our lives in many different ways. Sometimes the actions we take, to get through the things we are going through, become a blessing and a miracle for others. We become a living testimony to others who may be going through the same troubles. It is very easy to get down on ourselves and also get down on God. But if we continue to believe and acknowledge God he will rescue us. The name of Jesus is extremely powerful! Even the devil has total respect for Jesus. The next time you are feeling down just start to say the name of Jesus over and over and over. All of the attacks within the spiritual world will move aside and let you pass. Doubts, worries and concerns will suddenly disappear. It is by complete faith that the Lord works in our lives. He honors our faith in him. We may not see the answers as quickly as we might want to see them or in the ways we think his answers should be displayed, but He is with us. He delivers us. He is our only strength and our only answer! We must continue to build upon our faith each and everyday. We can only do this by staying in the word of God, praying to him and meditating within his word. We must remember that all things are possible through Christ who loves us and gives us strength. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS! PRAISE HIM EVEN WHEN THINGS SEEM DARK AND WITH NO END! REMEMBER, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS! THERE IS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT THAT NAME!
