OUR DAILY CROSS

” IF ANY OF YOU WANTS TO BE MY FOLLOWER, YOU MUST TURN FROM YOUR SELFISH WAYS, TAKE UP YOUR CROSS DAILY AND FOLLOW ME.” LUKE 9:23

Everyday that I am able to open my eyes and observe this beautiful creation called earth I know that my day will probably not be perfect. As a follower of Christ I will have difficulties in my life. I was not promised, that once I became a follower of Jesus, my life would become perfect and without challenges. In fact it is quite the opposite. I must always remember that my faith needs to be constantly reinforced and my trust in my Father should be made of great strength and knowledge received from him. Just as Jesus had a cross to carry for me on the day he died, I also have a cross to carry each day. I have problems and mountains to climb. I have valleys that I need desperately to climb out of. I cannot do all of this on my own. My faith in Jesus and my trust in his promises are my foundation for a sweeter life on this earth. I must always remember that with the Lord by my side that there is nothing that can overcome me but that I am the overcomer. With every breath that I take I must remember to praise him each day for the answers to my prayers and for his help in carrying my cross. I must surround myself with his holy word and magnificent promise in my life. And, I must continue to pray to him for all things. He is my life and my soul and my every breath I take! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
