” ABRAHAM NEVER WAVERED IN BELIEVING GOD’S PROMISE. IN FACT, HIS FAITH GREW STRONGER, AND IN THIS HE BROUGHT GLORY TO GOD. HE WAS FULLY CONVINCED THAT GOD IS ABLE TO DO WHATEVER HE PROMISES.” ROMANS 4: 20-21
” AND BECAUSE OF ABRAHAM’S FAITH, GOD COUNTED HIM AS RIGHTEOUS.” ROMANS 4:22
It is very easy for me to say that I believe in all of God’s promises. It is easy until the time that I need to see the results of his promises, but they have yet to be revealed in my life. As I search through God’s Word, I have found that many of those who believed whole heartedly in the promises of God never lived to see the results of his promises. They never lived to see the results of their faith in God. Whether I live to see the results of his promises in my life really doesn’t matter. If the Lord is ready to take me home before I see the results of my faith, then I am happy. I have found that my faith in what God says and does in my life is so important because of his righteousness. There are many times that I stumble along the way, but he restores me, and puts be back on track. When this happens, I only become stronger in my faith because of his faith in me. Anyone who knows me well knows that I love baseball. I heard a young player tell a reporter the other night that he is doing one of two things in the game he loves and plays everyday. He and his team are either winning or they are learning. As I step back and look at the game of life I can truly say that I am either winning each day with Jesus by my side or I am continuing to learn by making mistakes with the Lord by my side correcting me. Building faith is a matter of learning each day through the lessons of life. However, we must learn through the mistakes we make and continue to build our faith. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
