OUR ANCHOR!

Therefore, we who fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. Hebrews 6:18 & 19

The definition of an anchor is that of “a heavy object attached to a rope or chain used to moor a vessel to the sea bottom”. Without an anchor to hold a boat or ship in place it will swing wildly or even float away. You and I are much like that ship or that vessel. Without something to hold us in place we will begin to drift away. Sometimes we may begin to do things that are unsafe and put others in danger. Our lives will have no meaning to it. We will do things as we see fit and satisfy our own desires. We see many in this world fulfilling their own evil desires and actions. The bible tells us that our anchor is strong and trustworthy. It will not fail us. Our anchor gives us hope and a trust for our future. We can have a great confidence in our Lord God, who is our anchor. Our God is trustworthy and never fails. He has given us promises for our lives that, if we trust and believe, will fill us with understanding, wisdom, faith and the confidence to continue to move forward in times of trouble. He loves us and will not fail us! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

If you have not accepted Jesus as you Lord and Savior, please pray this prayer: “DEAR LORD JESUS, I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER AND I ASK FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS. I BELIEVE YOU DIED FOR MY SINS AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD. I TURN FROM MY SINS AND INVITE YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART AND LIFE. I WANT TO TRUST AND FOLLOW YOU AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR.” IN JESUS NAME, AMEN
