OUR SHIELD AND PROTECTION

” His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”Psalm 91:4

As we read and meditate upon Psalm 91, we soon see that it is a Psalm of protection. It offers the assurances of God’s protection to those of us who trust in him and seek refuge in him. It is a lesson that not only encourages us to stand firm in the Lord in times of need but teaches us that we can and should turn to him as our ultimate source of strength. When we do, we will find comfort is in unfailing love. We are to build up a strong confidence in God. As we live in a world where people only live in the moment, we are called to not only live in the moment but to also live for the future, by believing and receiving everlasting life in Jesus. We are not to depend upon our ways and our thoughts, but we are to depend upon God and his faithful promises for our lives. He is our security system, and He never fails. We don’t have to change batteries or depend upon the electricity to run the system. He is our strength, our protection, and our safety net. He is the almighty one, the one who is all powerful. He is present everywhere and knows everything (Psalm 139). When we believe in him, trust in him and live within his shadow, we stay close to him. There is nothing more powerful than our God in heaven.PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
