” Then Jesus said,’ What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate this? It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in the garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches.’ ” Luke 13:18-19
” He also asked, ‘ What else in the Kingdom of God like? It is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.’ “ Luke 13: 20-21
The Holy Word of God is a living, breathing road map the Lord has provided to each of us. Whether we use it or not is totally up to you and me. Living in his Kingdom here on earth means that we trusting that God will provide for us, being thankful when he does and then being satisfied with what he provides. When we begin to live in his word our lives change. They change because we allow his word to grow and be nurtured within us. Our faith becomes stronger each time we depend upon what God does for us or when we depend on what we know he can and will do for us. The Kingdom of God begins to permeate just as the yeast does, in the example he gave to those in Luke 13. It begins to take over, not just one part of us, but our life in totality. As we begin to do the things we are instructed and live the word as we are told and shown how to do, He begins to get involved in other parts of our life. Our faith grows stronger each time and we begin to produce what our Lord has intended for us to produce. We become mournful over sin, submissive to God’s will, passionate for righteousness, compassionate, merciful, authentic, ethical, peacemakers, and joyful even when things don’t go our way. As we begin to live our lives in this way the blessings begin to flow. When we fulfill our responsibility, we will begin to recognize and enjoy these many blessings. There are Four Pillars of the Kingdom: BELIEVE, LEARN, LIVE AND LOVE. We are to stay in his word, pray every day, give all the glory to our God that he so richly deserves and believe that we receive because He is our source! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
