TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: ” For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” Matthew 12:34 —– ” And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” Matthew 12: 36 & 37
TODAY’S MESSAGE: The words that we speak tell a lot about us. They also can do us great harm in how we use them. Our words sometimes are very pleasing and loving. We use words to help others, to soothe their pain or to help them through disasters in their lives. However, our words can sometimes be deadly poison. They can be spewed out as destructive criticism, or extremely painful when we become angry and begin to throw them at others. Our words are able to speak things into existence. For example, we can be positive and allow our lives to be positive. We are able to ward off sickness by the words we choose to speak. We can quote scriptures and continue to talk of healing, we can make friends with our words and display the love of our God in heaven by the words we use. But we can also speak evil into our lives. We can consider ourselves down and out, and in doing so, talk sickness and disease into our lives. Instead of talking words of faith we often speak words of doubt and fear into existence. We can invite sickness, disease, drugs and other evils of the world to surround our lives. When we do this, we are not representing our faith or the way our Lord wants us to live. We speak our words from the heart. We speak the words that we allow to live within us. If we fill our hearts with God’s Word, then we will have words of faith and trust coming forth. However, if our hearts are filled with the thoughts and things of the world then we will use the same language as the world. Our words will reflect our lifestyle and our ways. It is important to remember that we will be held accountable. We will have to stand before our God and explain our words to him. Are you ready to do that? We should prepare our hearts with the things of the Lord and not the world. Remember we still have time. Our Lord has still given us the ability to invite him into our lives. Fill your heart with the love and peace of Jesus and not the world that surrounds you. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!
