FAILURE IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: ” About an hour later someone else insisted, ‘ This must be one of Jesus’ disciples because he is a Galilean, too.’ But Peter said, ‘ Man, I don’t know what you are talking about.’ and as soon as he said these words, the rooster crowed. At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered that the Lord had said, ‘ Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny me three times.’ And Peter left the courtyard crying bitterly.” Luke 22: 59-62

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Peter, being one of the disciples who was very close to Jesus, failed. He did not just fail once, but scripture shows how he was tripped up many times in his earthly walk with Jesus. Peter learned from his failures. He learned to overcome them and in doing so, was able to come closer to Jesus and become one who was able to lead thousands to the Lord. I have heard comments from many, who think that because they have made so many mistakes in life, they have no chance to seek and find peace in Jesus. They couldn’t be farther from the truth. The love of Jesus is stronger than anything we can imagine. Even Jesus, in his human existence, cried tears of fear when He cried out to his Father just before his arrest. There is never too much baggage that can keep us from him. There is nothing too heavy that he cannot pick it up and take from us. We, however, must realize that every person who has accepted Jesus has gone to him with sin in their veins. It doesn’t matter how low you think you have sunk or how far you have turned from him; he is always available to accept you if you are sincere and turn from your sins. Just as Peter, who denied him three times in the end, we must begin by asking him to help us. We must begin our prayer journey by having an honest conversation with him. We must bow down before him and ask for his forgiveness. We must begin to read his word and study and meditate upon it. We must begin to surround ourselves with those who love Jesus and who are willing to fellowship with us. Jesus loves us. It doesn’t matter the color of our skin, the amount of sin we have committed or anything else the devil tries to lie about. Failure is not the end of the story; it is the beginning of the new story in your life with Jesus! JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
