TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “What is the use of saying you have faith if you don’t prove it by your actions?” James 2:14
“Faith that doesn’t show itself by good deeds is no faith at all- it is dead and useless.” James 2:17
TODAY’S MESSAGE: Faith is the belief in something that we cannot see. It is the belief that something will happen, has happened or is about to happen. Our beliefs lead us to faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus’s characteristics are described with adjectives such as, loving, caring, peaceful, honorable, understanding, wise, strong, with compassion, and many other descriptions entailing the sacrifice for others. When we have faith in him, we are to believe in all of these things. We are to have such belief that our lives change in ways, that show those around us, we have grounded our roots down deep into his character. It is easy to say we believe, but it is not easy to live that belief. Our number one duty in life is to represent Jesus in a manner of honor and glory. We are to praise him, glorify him and submit to him in everything we do. It doesn’t matter how small the deed; we are to represent Jesus. It doesn’t matter that we are hurting or being attacked, we are to represent Jesus. We must understand his ways completely and never let them wander away. Our success in this life must always be attributed to our God on High. It is he who gives us the ability to succeed. It is he who gives us the ability to love and have compassion for not only what we do but for those for whom we do it. It is Jesus we should look to the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. We must stay close to the one who created us. We must stay strong in our faith and not allow the world to overcome us. It is Jesus who is our source. We must never forget! JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
