TEST THE MESSAGE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “They searched the scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.” Acts 17:11

TODAY'S MESSAGE: As Paul and Silas were teaching the message of Jesus in Berea, even then was the message tested. Scripture tells us that the people searched and scanned the scriptures daily to double check what Paul and Silas were teaching. They were wanting to make sure that the teaching they were receiving was true and correct. We today should also be testing all of the teachings we are hearing. All it takes is for one simple word to change a meaning of a sentence, a paragraph or a scripture itself. It is easy for the devil, who knows the bible very well, to dig into the words being taught and insert something that shouldn't be there. It is important that we take note of what we are hearing and take what we hear straight to the bible for comparison. It is not for us to become shy when we are to question. It is for us to be sure that what we are learning about the Lord is true and honest. Afterall, what we learn is what we are to base our lives upon. It is the way we are to act, to speak and to live. There is no room for error. We cannot take for granted that every teacher is going to be protected from the errors of human mistakes. It is wise that we pray for understanding and wisdom when we hear the word and read the word. Again, we are to test the message! PRAISE THE LORD IN AL THINGS!
