“Let the Godly sing for joy to the Lord; it is fitting for the pure to praise him.” Psalm 33:1
“For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you.” 1 Peter 2:21
When Jesus walked this earth, he was not accepted well. He spoke about how he came to divide the world and not to bring peace within it. He told us how there would be divisions within families and divisions in relationships. However, as he continued to walk toward that cross every day, he never threatened retaliation to any of those who opposed him. He kept his focus and continued a straight line to the death that he was to endure for you and me. You and I do not have an easy road ahead of us. There will be and there will continue to be hard times as we walk toward Jesus. We too, are not the threaten retaliation to any who oppose us. Instead, we are to be peaceable and live our lives with calmness, peace of mind and the love of Jesus. We should praise God in heaven through all situations where we find ourselves fighting. He promises those who believe in him that he will protect us and save us from more than we can handle. Just as Jesus was to handle his death on the cross so are we to be able to handle the cross he has given us to bear. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
