IT IS WRITTEN!

“But he answered and said, It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'” Matthew 4:4

Jesus said to him, ‘On the other hand it is written,’ YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.'”. Matthew 4:7

“Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go Satan! For it is written, ‘ YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'” Matthew 4:10

As Jesus was being tempted by Satan, he responded to him with the phrase “IT IS WRITTEN.” If we want to successfully overcome evil and temptation in our lives, we must do so by using God’s Word. The Holy Word of God is our offensive weapon in the war against evil. This means that we must take the time to read and study his word. We cannot go into battle each day without our offensive weapon – and yet many do this very thing by neglecting God’s Word and the principles it contains. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
