“But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.” 1 Corinthians 15:20 —– “Just as everyone dies because we belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.” 1 Corinthians 15:22 ——- “But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.” 1 Corinthians 15:23
When we discuss the term “resurrection,” we confidently affirm the rising of Jesus on the third day, a pivotal event in God’s plan. The term “resurrection” embodies the powerful promise of restoring life. In 1 Corinthians, Paul outlines a clear vision of a resurrection that extends beyond Jesus; he speaks of a harvest of those who have passed, encompassing all who have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. While death is an unavoidable aspect of our human journey, we can be assured of God’s plan for the resurrection of the dead, starting with Jesus, the first in this vital harvest. Those who follow Jesus can eagerly anticipate their own resurrection at a time known only to God. Soon, He will gather His church from this world; the dead will rise first, followed by the living, who will be taken in the twinkling of an eye. This message may not resonate with everyone today, but amidst the chaos of our world, we can stand firm in the knowledge that the “rapture” is approaching, and the Bible clearly affirms this truth. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!
