DRESSING FOR THE NEW LIFE

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “You must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends you.” Colossians 3:12-13 —– “And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love.” Colossians 3: 12:14

TODAY’S MESSAGE: When you are going out for an evening of relaxation you go to your closet to find the right apparel for the evening. You want to look your best to impress those who are around you. Yesterday we talked about the new life in Christ Jesus. As we get ready to out into the world each day we need to go to our closet and choose the right clothing to live our new life in Christ. The Lord gives us great insight into what we are to wear. We are to wear tenderheartedness, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience and the love of Christ. It is with this clothing that we are prepared to go out into the world and represent our new life in Christ Jesus. We are never to put on fear, doubt or worry. We are to take our old clothing, consisting of anger, jealousy and intimidation and do away with them. Our lives are to change, and they are to change for the better. When we are confronted with troubles, we are to be patient and not allow anxiety to overwhelm us. We are to be humble before others and not try to be intimating. We are to reflect the gentleness and love of Christ. His love is to flow from you and me to those around us. When others are going through troubled times, we should be the calming effect on not be and enabler for sadness, anger or anxiety. When we truly change our lifestyles for Christ, we must dress for the occasion. We must show the world who we are and what we stand for. Our new life is that of Christ Jesus and we must dress appropriately. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LIVING THE NEW LIFE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Since you have been raised to a new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth.” Colossians 3:1-2

TODAY’S MESSAGE: We live in the earthly realm and are surrounded by the things of this world. We live by the world’s standards, the world’s rules and all of the other ways that are dictated by the world itself. However, when we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior we became citizens of a new place, a wonderful place, a place inhabited by Christ Jesus himself. We became citizens of heaven. Even though we may not be residents’ just yet, we do belong to our new place of citizenship and have obtained all of the benefits that come with living in heaven. It is harder for us who currently reside in this world, to think of heaven as our permanent residence and what it offers to us as citizens, but if we just read the Word of God each day and pray, we are given the opportunity to reach out and grasp onto the realities of heaven itself. We are told in Colossians 3:1-2 that we are to let heaven fill our thoughts and not the earth. We are to learn the ways of Jesus and live our lives that represent the ways of our new place of citizenship. Our lives here on earth should be completely different than the lives of those in the world. We are to stand out, and when we do, we will have to endure mocking, persecution and taunting. Our roots must be allowed to penetrate so deeply into the soil of the Word of God that we produce the fruits of heaven here on earth. We must be so strong in God’s Word that we no longer fear the taunting and persecution of those who surround us. We must, without fear, allow ourselves to spread God’s ways to others in preparation of His return. It is important that we live the new life here on earth. We have a purpose and a role to play while we are still a resident on this earth. Let is all stay prayerfully aware of our new citizenship established in heaven and let us Live the New Life without fear. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

CHRIST IS NUMBER ONE- SO LIVE LIKE IT!

TODAY’S SPRIPTURE: “This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is changing lives, just as it changed yours that very first day you heard and understood the truth about God’s great kindness to sinners.” Colossians 1:6

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As sports fans we can really get excited about our favorite teams. Whether they are 11-0 or 0-11 we seem to be able to muster up excitement every time they take the field. Because they are our favorites, we want to show our support and root them on. Today we have another team that is ready to be rooted on. It is probably the most famous team in the world and is one that has the strongest offense, and the strongest defense ever recorded. This team is one that never loses and deserves our very loud support. It is team Jesus. There is no doubt that as Christians we belong to a team that is number one in the world. We, however, don’t always treat it as such. Many times, we like to hide it under a rug or shy away from even talking about it. This isn’t how we would treat our favorite football team. So, why do we treat team Jesus in this way? I am guessing, but I think I am pretty close in saying, that sometimes we don’t want to field the pressures that sometime come with belonging to this great team. The other teams in the world like to persecute and taunt in very unnerving ways. They like to yell loudly mean words that my sting and hurt us as we hear them. They may even get so angry that they try to hurt us. Because of this treatment we will hide our team Jesus relationship in the basement and not even talk about it. Well the time has come to show up. Jesus did not shy away from those who were fiercely against him. He didn’t shy away from those who put him to death. Instead, he stood up and put his record on the line. He didn’t yell, throw words back at his persecutors or try to find others that he could hire to hurt them. Instead, he lived his life in God. He lived with a calmness, a powerfully joyful attitude and went forward with success. You and I are to do the same. We have Jesus as our team leader. How can we go wrong. He is there to help us up when we are pushed down. He is there to give us his loving hand when we need a little nudge to move forward. Our lives must show our support and love for this great team. It is Jesus who we should focus on and not the world. It is Jesus we should put first in our lives. When we do, we will never lose. We are undefeated no matter the opposition! Let us all let it be known our support for being a member of Team Jesus! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BE OPEN TO THE THOUGHTS OF GOD!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

TODAY’S MESSAGE: To live our lives can be simple or can be hard. If we put too much into our thoughts, we can live a very complicated and sometimes tragic life. There have been times in my own life where I sat and pondered upon subjects for hours upon hours. After I had worn myself out mentally, I found that I had accomplished completely nothing. When I began to read the bible, I found myself once again reading and trying to digest each and every word. I was a newborn Christian and wanted to digest as much as I could. However, I soon learned that my mind was about to explode. I was learning very little and came away from my study with little to no knowledge. As a matter of fact, I came away in many instances confused and without learning much at all. Still today I find myself, at times, doing much the same thing. After much prayer, the Lord made it very clear to me that in order to believe in Him and to understand Him I must not overthink things but instead become, once again childlike. I had to wipe away all of the worldly learning I had obtained over the years and be open to Him and Him alone. I had to come to the understanding that God does not talk to me mentally but instead he talks to my heart. It is what comes from the heart that drives our thoughts from Christ Jesus. He speaks to the heart and not the mind. The mind tries to outthink the Lord, but the heart accepts Him and learns by his soft touch. I learned that prayer, prior to reading his word, was important. I learned to pray for understanding and wisdom. I asked and prayed for him to talk to me and to help me to give him my total attention. Learning to hear the Lord is a process and that process comes from turning once again childlike. A child’s mind and heart are uncomplicated, innocent, clean, and open to the new things of Christ Jesus. We must learn to listen to our hearts and not our minds. JESUS IS LORD! THE PATHWAY TO PEACE IS PRAYER!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Everyday I spend time looking for peace of mind. I spend great amounts of time looking for a peace that will give me a life that is not swollen with desires of the flesh. I want to live a life that is good and not evil. I want to live a life that is full of healing and not sickness. I want to live a life that is full of security and not of distress and fear. I want to live a life that is of joy and not sadness. I want to be able to walk with strength, happiness and knowledge that allows me to have the confidence of one who knows the results that are coming, instead of one who is lost and does not understand. All of this is at my fingertips. Philippians 4:6 describes exactly how to achieve all of this. I must become aware that I must not be anxious about anything but instead go directly to God in prayer. When in prayer I should tell him exactly what is on my mind, what I desire of him and then give him thanks for the answer he gives me. I am to go to God in prayer often according to the scriptures. It is so important that I stay in tune with my Lord. He wants me to stay whole and not torn apart. Without staying in constant prayer, I allow myself to be vulnerable to the outside evils of this world. Without prayer I become weaker and susceptible to the things of the world. But with constant prayer I stay covered by the blanket of safety my God in heaven so graciously gives me. With prayer I stay protected by his covenant of love and protection. With prayer I am able to face the stumbling blocks put before me without consternation. Instead, I am able to face those problems head on knowing that my Lord is fighting for me. With prayer I know that with the power of the Holy Spirit, that God has gifted to live within me, I can overcome anything that comes against me. Prayer is my pathway to peace. There is no other way. I must stay on my telephone to Christ and never hang up! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FOR JESUS IS OUR LIFE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. ” Psalm 68:19 —– ” Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5 —– ” For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13

TODAY’S MESSAGE: We all live for something. Some live for their desire to accomplish great things in the world. Others live for their desire to satisfy the demands of their parents or grandparents. Still others live to be recognized by those around them for the many achievements they have accomplished at their workplace or home. This is all well and good, but we should have a greater priority as a follower of Jesus Christ. Our lives should be overcome with the desire to live in harmony with the way Jesus lived his life. We should be a sound reflection of how Jesus lived on this earth. He was loving, caring, had compassion for the needs of others, forgiving, patient, humble, courageous, gentle, and had a servant’s attitude. All of these attributes are the way Jesus led his life on the earth. That is how you and I should be attempting to live our lives. Yes, it is nice to have accomplishments and be recognized by others, but our main focus should be on Jesus and how he lived. We are human and will not always reach our goals. When we fall, he is there to pick us up. We must remember that it is from our hearts that we live like Jesus and not by our humanity. It is by the Holy Spirit that we stay on the right path and not stray. When we represent Jesus, we are helping the Lord to help those who need him so desperately. Is it time to re-focus? How are you living your life? If you are not sure, then go back to the Lord in prayer and ask him for his help. He loves us and will not leave us stranded. He is always with us and there to pick us up when we fail. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Psalm 24:1

TODAY’S MESSAGE: I have many possessions that I consider to be very valuable to me. If someone were to take them from me, I would be very unhappy or even angry. Let us consider our God in heaven. He created the earth and all that is in it. The earth and everything that exist upon it belong to our God. You and I are also his possessions. We belong to him. He created each of us for a purpose and that purpose is to please him. How do you suppose our Lord feels when he sets back to view the beautiful world he has created and sees it in such disarray? How do you think he feels when he sees the destruction of his beautiful mountains, valleys and rivers? How do think he feels when he sees his children running amuck and doing things that totally against his ways? I would venture to guess that he feels much like you and me when we lose a possession that is dear to our hearts. However, his love for us is greater than his desire to destroy the earth and all who inhabit it. He did that in Noah’s time. You and I have a safety valve. We have a way out of the chaos that is prevalent in this world. Instead of a time of revenge he has created a time of grace. He allowed Jesus to walk this earth and then die on the cross so that we can live. All we have to do is invite him into our hearts and then truly believe. We must continue to live with faith and build our faith up so that our lives are a testimony to him on this earth, and not a testimony to the evil one. Yes, the devil is allowed to do his thing, but we have a chance get out from under his control by the grace of our Lord. The devil is marching to his end. The earth and all that is in it will be made anew in these end days. But we are not there yet. We still have time. Until Jesus returns to harvest his children, we can secure our spot in heaven if we just come to our senses and believe. The time is running short. Let us all get on the train to heaven and not look back. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE! WE SHOULD BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN IT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” FINALLY BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND HIS MIGHTY POWER. PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD SO THAT YOU CAN TAKE YOUR STAND AGAINST THE DEVIL’S SCHEMES. OUR STRUGGLE IS NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST THE RULERS, AGAINST TTHE AUTHORITIES, AGAINST THE POWER OF THIS DARK WORLD AND AGAINST THE SPIRITUAL FORCES OF EVIL IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS. ” EPHESIANS 6:10-13

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Each morning when we wake up, we should take the time to thank the Lord in the day he has prepared for us. We should be thankful for being able to live each day with the strength of the Lord God in heaven. He has given us the tools we need in order to survive and conquer our mountains and get through our valleys. He has given us the understanding to know that we are in a war, a spiritual war in our lives. He has prepared us by giving us truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and the word of God to help us with our fight. These tools give us strength in our battles, protect us from the flaming arrows of this world and help to keep us focused on our Lord and the battle before us. We are to recognize that it is eternal salvation we see at the end of the tunnel. It is everlasting life with our God in heaven that keeps us going. Living in in the truths of Jesus and having a strong faith to believe and receive are our strengths. They are what lift high above our problems and help us to conquer our daily struggles. We live in a special time and should be glad and rejoice in this time. Remember, this is the day the Lord has made, and we should be glad and rejoice in it! PRASIE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

DON’T ALLOW YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES TO STEAL AWAY YOUR JOY!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart that you may observe it.” Deuteronomy 30:14

TODAY’S MESSAGE: It is difficult to allow joy to overcome our hurts in life. When bad things happen, we often allow those things to become the center of our life. We focus on them and think of them all of the time. They begin to burn a hole in our pockets to the point of not allowing anything else to enter our thoughts or actions. However, our Lord plainly tells us that we don’t have to feel the despair that our troubles sometimes bring. His Holy Word is near us. His word is in our hearts and in our mouths. All we have to do is to seek them out and dwell on them. Prayer plays a vital part in our overcoming the bad things in our lives. When we pray, we allow ourselves entrance into the spiritual world. We enter into the presence of our Almighty God in heaven. It is through Jesus that we are able to be recognized by our God and our prayers heard and answered. When we begin to pray our minds go to the Lord and not to the evil around us. When we find the scriptures, we can begin to recite his promises for our lives, and we suddenly begin to see that there is more to life on this earth than the problems that confront on a daily basis. Joy is given the opportunity to enter our beings, and our desires turn from feeling sorry for ourselves to Jesus our Lord and Savior. It is important that we continue to surround ourselves with the heavenly things of God. Prayer, praise and thanksgiving should come from our mouths. Our focus should be on Jesus every day. He is the answer to our problems. He is the one who can and will resolve our issues if we just allow him to. We must always remember that our God in always near us. He is not somewhere else in the universe where it takes days to receive our prayers. He lives in us through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Our communication with him is instant and there is no waiting period required. He wants us to come to him and we should desire to go to him. We must, however, build up our faith and continue to be faithful in our time with him. If we do, then the joy we receive will overcome the circumstances we face! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

THE CHANGE OF CLOTHING!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” THAT, IN REFERENCE TO YOUR FORMER MANNER OF LIFE, YOU LAY ASIDE THE OLD SELF, WHICH IS BEING CORRUPTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LUSTS OF DECEIPT, AND THAT YOU BE RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND, AND PUT ON THE NEW SELF, WHICH IN THE LIKENESS OF GOD HAS BEEN CREATED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS OF THE TRUTH.” EPHESIANS 4:22-24

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Our lives on this earth cause us to become dirty because of the ways of the world and the thoughts of those around us. We are born into a life of sin. As we live our lives in the world, we continue get dirtier and dirtier with the thoughts and actions that we are prompted to go along with. We doubt, fear, get angry, hold grudges, lie and cheat among many other compromised actions. When we come to Jesus, we must become clean. We must throw away our old self and begin a new type of life. We are put on a new change of clothes making ourselves complete with the ideas of Jesus. We must begin our journey in Christ by becoming a child once again. We must throw away the learning we have attained in the world and begin to learn all over again. The ways of Jesus are completely different from the ways we were living in the world. We are to do away with our anger, deceit, lusts and worry, doubt and fear. Living in the world is much like living in a cult. When we escape, we must train ourselves once again to live in a different way. This is not an easy venture. It is a course that takes time to complete. We must not only become aware of the Lord’s new ideas, but we must also be able to live them by applying them to our daily lives. It takes a study of the Word of God along with meditation in his word. It takes daily communication with our Lord through prayer. It takes a confident person from the world and turns them into a humbled person before God. We are to become one in Christ. We are to look like him, live like him, and talk like him. When others look at us, they are to see a change. The time gets closer and closer each day for the return of our Lord Jesus. When that happens the period of grace will be complete. Don’t miss the opportunity! JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

THE SIMPLE PRAYER!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “The Lord will stay with you for as long as you stay with him. whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.” 2 Chronicles 15:2

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Today I raised my head from my pillow and began my day as I usually do. I begin my day by a daily prayer. This morning, I was having problems putting my thoughts to together. I struggled as I tried desperately to speak to the Lord as intelligently as I could. As I continually struggled, the Holy Spirit spoke a quick thought to me, He reminded me that it is not the words of a prayer that the Lord gives answer to, and it isn’t the length of the prayer that the Lord gives answer to, but it is what is in our hearts that the Lord pays attention to and answers. Then I remembered what Jesus told his disciples about the prayers of the Pharisees, how long and drawn out they were. How they were trying to show others of their importance by way of their prayers. Sometimes I catch myself in that awkward position of trying to make my prayers too long and sometimes with repetition. I immediately slowed down this morning and prayed only what was in my heart. I suddenly remembered that our God already knows our thoughts. He already knows our prayers. We don’t have to make our prayers to him long and never ending but only from our hearts. I remembered that the Lord has reminded me on many occasions of how prayer should also consist of praise and thanks to God, for what He has done, and will do for us. So, my prayer this morning was a simple one. I praised our Lord Jesus; I prayed only what had been put on my heart and then I thanked Him for his answers. We are to keep our prayers simple and not too complex. Sometimes a long prayer is necessary, but I believe the Lord knows our thoughts and our situations and always helps us in our prayer life. FOLLOWINIG JESUS IS COSTLY

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 16:24-25 —– ” For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as the result of works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Today’s Message: Following Jesus is not an easy venture. It requires a lot from us but allows us the freedoms that Jesus so richly provides. Before meeting the Lord, we are set in our ways. We are driven by the things of the world. We consider ourselves to be the center of the universe. However, after we meet Jesus all of this changes. We must be willing to make changes in our lives. These changes are not just subtle small differences but are huge changes in the way we think and the way we live our lives. We must put ourselves to the back of the line and put Jesus at the front. We no longer are to consider ourselves Kings and Queens of the universe. We instead, are to develop a servant’s attitude, where we consider others better than ourselves. We begin to understand that the things of the world are no longer the most important things to us but instead, Jesus, becomes our focus and our life. Persecution comes full force, and we must be strong in faith and in our understanding of the Word of God. We must learn of the tools that God gives us to survive in this world. We must listen to our guide, the precious Holy Spirit and make choices that we may feel uncomfortable with. We must realize that it is not works that get us saved, but instead, it is confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior and believing with a strong faith that he is our Savior, Lord and refuge. We must begin to understand that our good works come from our belief in Him and not Him from our good works. Jesus provides us a way to eternal life. That way is through Him. When we choose his way, the path becomes difficult with many obstacles put in front of us. However, we are able to overcome and conquer our fears with a strong faith in Jesus and his great power! THE FAITHFULNESS OF OUR GOD IN HEAVEN!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Though we ourselves are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all.” Psalm 65:3 —– ” So we receive God’s promise of freedom only believing in Jesus Christ.” Galatians 3:22

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Sin is everywhere. This world became sin when God threw the devil out of heaven. When you and I were born into this world we were born into the sin of the world. We were born sinners. Our make-up is that of a sinner and our natural actions consist of sin. Everywhere we go and whatever we do we have the ability and the desire to sin. Sin is who we are. However, our God in heaven loves us so much that he has given each of us a solution to our sinful problems. It was not without sacrifice that God gave us the chance at a new nature. Through sacrificing his son, Jesus Christ, he gave us opportunity to receive his nature of love, peace and joy. He gives us the gift of wiping our sins away. When he does so, he forgives them and forgets them as though they never happened in the first place. This is sometimes hard for us to understand. Therefore, he has given us a mission to accomplish. It is one that is easy and hard at the same time. We are to believe with faith in his sacrifice for us. We are to focus on and believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We are to ask him to reside in our hearts and live in us. You may ask, how is that so hard? The answer is that we must believe in something unseen and not seen. We must develop a faith that is so strong that our lives reflect the love of Jesus. Our lives must reflect his joy and his peace. We must display his characteristics in good times and hard times. When a family member is sick, we must believe that God will take care of them. When we lose our job, we must believe that our God in heaven has his hand in the situation. When a disastrous destroys all of our earthly possessions we must believe that the Lord is in control. Our beliefs must be so strong that our lives gravitate to his ways and thoughts and not to those of this world. Our Lord loves us and will never disappoint us. When he closes one door, he opens another. We must believe that we receive and take action on those beliefs. We are overcomers of the evils of this world through the life and death of Jesus. Sin has no rule over us if we stay focused and believe! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

FOR CHRIST LIVES IN US!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.” Matthew 13:13 —– My old self was crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” Matthew 2:20

TODAY’S MESSAGE: There have been many times in my journey with the Lord that I have read the bible and seen the words and read the words but came away with nothing. When I was reading, I was not concentrating, and I was not allowing the Lord to work within me. I was just reading because I felt that it was necessary. When I was done, I shut the bible, walked away and never applied any of his principles to my life. I was in that learning mode. Hearing him, listening to him and doing as he instructs is a learning and growing experience. His word is just that, his word. It is not something we are to take for granted. It is his true word and is coming directly from our God in heaven. Through it he strengthens our thoughts and provides us meaningful ways to live our lives. As born-again believers we have the Lord living in us by the power of the Holy Spirit. He guides our ways, helps us to make decisions, puts us back on the right path when we stray and puts us back on our feet when we fall. He also opens our eyes, our thoughts and our ears. When we allow him to actively work in our lives we see things differently. We hear and understand. We look and we see. We listen and we really do hear. When we come to the Lord, we are to recognize that our old self has been crucified. We were on that cross with Jesus and died right beside him. We no longer live! However, Jesus does continue to live, and he is living right inside of each of us who have accepted him through faith. When we allow the “Holy Spirt Experience” to take place in us, our lives become strong and full of Jesus himself. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

WALK BY THE SPIRIT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.” GALATIANS 5:16—– ” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” GALATIANS 5: 22

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As we were born into this world we were born with a sinful nature. Our nature was and still is sinful and unrighteous. We have desires in our being that are sometimes unspeakable. However, our Lord God in heaven has given us an ability to overcome our sinful nature and live our lives in righteousness by living in the Spirit. When Jesus left this world, the Holy Spirit was sent. Through our Faith in Jesus God has given us his Spirit to live within us. His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, is God himself. The Holy Spirit is a person with a mind, a will, emotions and communication abilities. These are all the same attributes of those of our God in heaven and Jesus himself. The Holy Spirit is a person and not a thing. We sometimes forget this and treat Him as something other than who he is. He is the third person of the Holy Trinity- The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He is God himself displayed in the person of the Holy Spirit. He is our helper. He is our guide. He is the Spirit of Truth. It is very important that we take time to listen to Him when he speaks to us. He is said to speak in a small still voice. We must be able to be quiet and listen closely. We must take the time to shut down our busy lives and listen. We must be disciplined in how we walk in the Spirit. He is the way and the light for our feet. The Holy Spirit produces love, joy, patience, peace, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in each of us. We can walk this earth with confidence when we walk in the Spirit. It is our God who is in control. He is God Almighty, Jesus our Lord and Savior, and the guide for our life, the Holy Spirit. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

DON’T JUST EXIST, BUT LIVE INSTEAD!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” For the scriptures say, ‘ It is through faith that a righteous person has life.’ Galatians 3:11

TODAY’S MESSAGE: You and I are not to live our lives in the world by just existing. We are to live by expressing the joy of Jesus. When we truly love Jesus, that love will fulfill our lives and begin to ooze out to those around us. Our faith will be forever growing, and our walk will be one of joy, power and strength. We will show a confidence that only our God in heaven can give us. We will not allow the fears of this earth to stand in our way, because we understand that this life is a gift from God. Our life is to be lived as a testimony to his existence. We will display joy no matter the situation. With a faith that cannot be shaken, we will give every situation we confront, over to Jesus. Our burdens will become light, and our joys will increase. Yes, we are all human. We all have human emotions that sometimes overtake our actions. However, as we recognize these actions, we are fast to ask for forgiveness and move on. Our Lord gives us the opportunity to live this life without fear of making mistakes. We can see the evil going on in the world but not partake. We can hear of the threat of wars but not become fearful. We can become criticized and persecuted but not defeated. With faith in our Lord, we are able to march on and complete each task he has given us. We are able to stand out in the crowd and be seen as one who sees this world differently than the unsaved. Our God in heaven has given us the tools we need to live our lives in peace and with wisdom, if we just believe and continue to build our faith in Jesus each and every day! We are to live in Jesus and not to just exist in the world! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

THE BLOOD IS LIFE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on clothes.” Galatians 3:27

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As a Christian we all believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior. We all believe that Jesus walked this earth and performed miracles along the way. We believe that he touched the lame, restored those who needed restoring and left for us the greatest of all gifts when he left this earth, his blood. When he went to the cross Jesus left the most precious gift he could have left us. On the moments before he died on the cross, he was already shedding his blood in our defense. He had blood dripping into his eyes from the crown of thorns placed on his head as they mocked him. He was bleeding from the many lashes received from the lead tipped whips they used to whip him. As he walked along, in what looked like shame, he was not moving in the direction of weakness but in the direction of strength. He was the living God, the mentor of our faith and the Savior of the world. All of what he had gone through before his crucifixion was all a display of strength and faith. All of these characteristics were shown for our benefit as he came to save us and strengthen us. It is important that we understand the importance of the blood of Jesus, how powerful it is and what has already done for us. It is not about what we want in life, our nice home, a great family, a great job or whatever else we think will make our lives easier. It is about our eternal life in heaven. It’s about our faith that needs to be nurtured every day. It is about making sure that we are telling others about Jesus and the way to heaven. It is about the way we live our lives on the earth just as Jesus lived his. His blood is what matters! It is through the shedding of his blood that we are afforded the ability pray to our God in heaven. It is through his shed blood that we receive miracles every day in our lives. It is through his shed blood that you and I never have to go through that horrible death in order to get into heaven. The blood of Jesus is powerful, loving, caring and the strength that we need to reach our goal of eternal life. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

WE ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? Matthew 5:13

TODAY’S MESSAGE: I don’t know about you, but I love my salt. Salt gives flavor and a little more excitement to your food. Jesus uses this as a comparable to you and me in this world. We are representatives of our Lord God in heaven. We have been chosen to be living testimonies on his behalf. However, many in this world consider religion to be boring and without excitement. I would have to agree that religion is just that. But you and I are presenting a different picture to the world. We are presenting a relationship experience to the world and not a religious experience. We are representing a way of life and not a Sunday morning experience. In doing so, our Lord has given us access to ways to show others how our relationship with Jesus adds spice to the life we live. It is exciting to know Jesus. It is exciting to be able to pray to him anytime we want or need to. It is exciting to know that through faith we have the power to overcome our daily problems. It is exciting to be able to know that we can take our sadness to him, and he will turn it into joy. It is exciting to be able to lay our problems at his feet and let him carry our burdens so that we don’t have to. It is exciting to know that one day we will meet Jesus’ face to face and be able to talk directly to him. We are to present to the world the excitement of Jesus Christ and not the boring acts of religion. If you have not already joined the army of the God Almighty, then it is time to enlist and get to work. It is a joyful experience and one that is to be displayed to the world and one that gives the world hope and promise. It is a way of life that is to be lived each and every day. Our churches today are, in many cases, presenting the wrong story it their members. It is time to choose a church that is alive in Jesus and not one that is hung up on religion. THE DISGUISE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

TODAY’S MESSAGE: It is so easy to be fooled, dissuaded or even convinced to do something we know is wrong. It is so easy that we can convince even ourselves to do things that we know are not in line with our Lord. The world makes it even harder to stay committed to our Lord God in heaven. The devil is a very smooth operator. He is slick in what he does and very discreet when he does it. 2 Corinthians 11:14 tells us clearly that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. The devil will never come to you as himself. If he did, we would know instantly who he was, and we would turn away. Instead, he comes to us in ways that we can be deceived. He comes to us looking like the good guy next door. He comes to us looking like the greatest minister that ever lived. He comes to us looking like the greatest performer we have ever seen. He comes in ways to make us think that he is of the Lord God in heaven. He comes to deceive! He can get us to make decisions that we would otherwise not make. He can get us to go places that we would never go without his deception. To battle Satan and his ways we must know the Word of God better than he does (and the bible says he knows it well). We must study and meditate on God’s Word constantly. We must have a communication line with the Lord that is constant and never failing. We must be able to recite God’s promises in the face of Satan without hesitation, and we must be forever learning in our bible knowledge. We must build a foundation that does not allow the devil and his demons to slip into our lives. We must have Jesus in our thoughts and the Holy Spirit to guide our lives every day. We must know the bible frontwards and backwards. The sly old devil will try every trick he can to get us to go his way. But we must be able to beat him at his own game. We must praise our Lord daily, pray to him continually and lean on the Holy Spirit who resides within us. The closer we become to Jesus the farther away be move from the temptations and deceptions of the devil! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS AND IN ALL SITUATIONS!

TIME HAS NOT CHANGED THE WORLD!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” Jesus Christ gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world we live in. All glory to God forever and forever! Amen.” Galatians 1:4-5

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Our world is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. As we look back into history the world really has not changed. Yes, there have been increases in worldly knowledge but there has not been any change in the way our God looks at this world. There has always been sin. There has always been persecution. There have always been murders and rapes. There have always been disagreements as to the way our God in heaven wants us to believe. God has never changed. He has always been in control. It is time for the people of this world to recognize that we are not the first to go through tough times. We are not the generation who is going through more than any other generation. We are, however, the generation who has been chosen to live in the end days. We have been put upon this earth for a reason, and we have a job to do. We have been chosen to go through different worldly things due to technology. Most of us in this age have grown up with modern ideas and the new technology that our God is using in his plan to change this world. However, just because there are new ideas and ways of doing things doesn’t mean that God has changed or that his ideas have changed in any way. You and I must have faith. Faith is the one and only way we will survive. Technology will not save us. Storing up food will not save us. Bomb shelters will not save us. There is nothing in the world today that will help us to survive what is coming, other that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is time to continue to build our faith. It is time to pray to the Lord God in heaven any chance we get. It is time to acknowledge our role in God’s wonderful plan and be happy and joyous in Jesus! For through our faith in Christ we have been saved! We have been healed! We have been forgiven! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS AND IN ALL SITUATIONS!

THE POWER OF OUR WORDS!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: ” For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” Matthew 12:34 —– ” And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.” Matthew 12: 36 & 37

TODAY’S MESSAGE: The words that we speak tell a lot about us. They also can do us great harm in how we use them. Our words sometimes are very pleasing and loving. We use words to help others, to soothe their pain or to help them through disasters in their lives. However, our words can sometimes be deadly poison. They can be spewed out as destructive criticism, or extremely painful when we become angry and begin to throw them at others. Our words are able to speak things into existence. For example, we can be positive and allow our lives to be positive. We are able to ward off sickness by the words we choose to speak. We can quote scriptures and continue to talk of healing, we can make friends with our words and display the love of our God in heaven by the words we use. But we can also speak evil into our lives. We can consider ourselves down and out, and in doing so, talk sickness and disease into our lives. Instead of talking words of faith we often speak words of doubt and fear into existence. We can invite sickness, disease, drugs and other evils of the world to surround our lives. When we do this, we are not representing our faith or the way our Lord wants us to live. We speak our words from the heart. We speak the words that we allow to live within us. If we fill our hearts with God’s Word, then we will have words of faith and trust coming forth. However, if our hearts are filled with the thoughts and things of the world then we will use the same language as the world. Our words will reflect our lifestyle and our ways. It is important to remember that we will be held accountable. We will have to stand before our God and explain our words to him. Are you ready to do that? We should prepare our hearts with the things of the Lord and not the world. Remember we still have time. Our Lord has still given us the ability to invite him into our lives. Fill your heart with the love and peace of Jesus and not the world that surrounds you. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

IT IS AT GOD’S CONVENIENCE AND NOT MINE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “I will not fail you or abandon you. Be strong and courageous. ” Joshua 1:5&7—- ” They that wait upon the Lord will find a new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

TODAY’S MESSAGE: When we commit to follow the Lord, we have committed to do just that, follow. I have found, in my life, that it is very easy to do my thing and not that of the Lord. As a human upon this earth, I like to be in control and do things my way and on my timeline. When we follow the ways of Jesus we must change our thought process. We must become servants and not of those being served. We must become patient and be able to wait upon the Lord. The term “wait” in Isaiah means to “love” the Lord. To be able to love the Lord we must have faith and be willing to listen to him and do as he would like for us to do. When we don’t, we often find ourselves in deep water struggling to get out. When this happens, we begin demanding the Lord help us instead of asking for his help. We forget that it is He who has all the control. It is He who has the answers to our problems. When we struggle through life, we find ourselves to be overanxious and not patient. We want our struggles resolved instantly and are unwilling to wait for our Lord to work in our lives. When we ask Jesus to help us, we must be patient and slow down and wait for him to do his work. When he helps us, he does it on his timeline and not ours. We must be strong in our faith knowing that he is our answer. We must realize just because we have struggles and problems, that we have gotten ourselves into, it is at the Lord’s convenience and on his time schedule that we will receive the answer. So, the next time you are having difficulties and ask Jesus for his help, don’t become discouraged when your answer may be delayed. Instead, continue to thank him for the answer and wait patiently on your Lord Jesus! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

BEWARE OF THE WINDS OF THE WORLD!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Then Jesus said, COME TO ME ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND CARRY HEAVY BURDENS, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.” Matthew 11:28 —– ” My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 —– “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

TODAY’S MESSAGE: The winds are swirling around us all of the time. Whether they are in the form of breezes or hurricane force winds they are constantly moving. The winds in our spiritual lives are also swirling around. They sometimes are calm, and our lives reflect peace and happiness. However, they sometimes come in the form of hurricane type winds. They are heavy and forceful and can do a lot of destruction in our lives. It is in these times that we must take shelter by going to a safe place. During a tornado we all know that we need to get out of harm’s way, so we go to the basement or somewhere we believe will protect us. When the winds of trouble come into our lives, we must also seek shelter. Many people will just set back and ride out the storm. They carry the burdens upon themselves until the burdens become too strong, and they break the backs of those who carry them. It is at these times we see people turn to the shelter of alcohol or drugs. There are also those who will turn to God in heaven as a last resort. The Lord tells us that he is with us always. He is with us in good times and in difficult times. So, when we are warned of a coming storm, we should take shelter in the loving arms of our Lord. We need to recognize that he is our safety net and our storm shelter. We need to build up our shelter of faith so that when the winds get strong, we can be safely tucked away in the loving arms of Jesus. With Jesus we can be safe all of the time and not just part of the time. With a strong faith in Him we have a place to go when we are being attacked or tested by the world. In times when our burdens become too heavy, he is there to take them on. He is there to carry them and withstand the load. He is our refuge, our safety net and our strength when we must withstand the winds of the world. Jesus is our Lord, and he is all that we need! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS AND ALL TIMES!

THE GREAT ACKNOWLEDGMENT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” Matthew 10: 32 & 33

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Fear = failure. Fear will keep us away from many good things. There are things that we could be doing in this world, but fear takes the place of faith, and the result is failure. As a true Christian it is our responsibility to be completely focused on Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We are not to be afraid to talk about him and to talk with him. We are not too shy from who he is and what he does in our lives. We are to be fearless in our love for him and to stand up and shout our praises on his behalf. Jesus has been very clear that if we deny him on this earth then he will not hesitate to deny us before his Father in heaven. Jesus is our conduit to God. He is our pathway to the strength, wisdom and knowledge that is available to us through our faith in Him. We cannot allow those around us to create fear in our hearts that take away our life stream. We must build our faith and stand firm in all situations. Fear is the opposite of faith. Satan is the opposite of Jesus. The devil uses fear to its fullest to make us stumble, to make us fall or make us doubt. However, we have been given the ability to believe in Jesus our Lord and Savior by faith. It is our duty to strengthen our faith and acknowledge Jesus before men. As we do, we create a relationship with Jesus that becomes personal. He knows us by name and goes to God on our behalf. We are the strong ones on this earth. We are the ones who have the full army of God behind us. We are the overcomers and the wisest because we have Jesus. We must shout him out to the world! JESUS, JESUS, JESUS- THERE IS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT HIS NAME!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Matthew 9:13

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Our Lord Jesus has been referred to in many different names. He has been called THE REDEEMER, THE LIVING STONE, THE GOOD SHEPHARD, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, THE GREAT I AM, and THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR. He has been called THE SON OF MAN, IMMANUEL, LAMB OF GOD, THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, MESSIAH, BREAD OF LIFE, THE LIGHT, THE WORD, SAVIOR, KING OF ISRAEL, KING OF THE JEWS, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THE CORNERSTONE, CHRIST, LORD, GOD, THE ADVOCATE, THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH, and THE BRANCH. Jesus is everything that our God in heaven is. He is God. We must always remember that there is great power in the name of Jesus. It has the authority and the divine nature of Jesus Christ himself. By using his name, we are accessing his power to heal, deliver, and bring salvation to others. Calling on his name is a direct connection to his power and presence. The name of Jesus gives us the strength we need to proceed each day. It gives us the confidence we need to live our lives in the ways he desires for us. It gives us the wisdom and the understanding of his Holy Word. The devil and his demons are fully aware of this great power and run away when they hear his name. When calling on the name of Jesus we have the power to be overcomers. The name of Jesus is the most powerful name in all of heaven and earth. It is used to cast out demons, heal the sick, and instill great courage. The is nothing greater than the name of Jesus and this name has been given to us, his children, to help us live our lives with confidence and strength. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, and we must visit with him every day. We should love him as he loves us. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

HELP WANTED

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So, pray to the Lord, who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into the field.” Matthew 9: 7 & 8

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Are you looking for a job? Are you looking for a job that pays well and has great benefits? Well, our God in heaven is hiring. He is looking for those who are willing to give of themselves and put in a full day’s work. He is looking for those who are dedicated to him and to his holy word. He is looking for those who are qualified by having the faith of a warrior and the dedication of a true soldier. You see the harvest is near and there are still so many in the world who need to be reached. There are not enough workers to go around. There are not enough of God’s people who are willing to actively spread the Gospel of Christ Jesus. There are many believers in the world, but few are willing to dedicate themselves to spreading the gospel. They accept Jesus but that is it. They believe but never tell others. What about those who surround them? What about those in the world who have never heard of the Jesus? That may be hard to believe but the gospel has still not reached everyone. The salvation message needs to be spread far and wide. In today’s world of social media this task becomes a little easier but there is the need for born again Christians to stand up and go to work. There is a labor shortage on God’s farm. He needs workers and workers who are dedicated and ready to give a full day’s work. If you have not been hired, then fill out your application today. God needs you and he needs you soon! Remember the harvest is near and God’s fields need to be filled and then harvested. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BE PATIENT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act.” Psalm 37:7

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As a child, being patient was not one of my strong suits. As a matter of fact, I am still not a patient person as an adult. When I see something I want and don’t want to wait to get it. I am sure as a child I was probably considered a little pest by those around me. I had no patience at all. Patience is something that comes hard for many and is a learning process for us who have none. We belong to a patient God. He is patient in everything he does. We as part of the world sometimes wonder if God will ever answer our prayers. We wonder why God doesn’t help us when we think the time is right. Instead, we must realize that our Lord God is on his own time schedule. He has everything arranged to happen at just the right time and you and I have no power to change his schedule. He is a patient God, and we should be very grateful for that. He is patient with each of us when we do things that we shouldn’t. He is patient in his return so that those who still need to accept Jesus will have more time to do so. He is patient in all things, and we should praise him for that. Our problem is that we are not as patient as the Lord. We want our prayers answered as soon as possible. We want those around us healed immediately. We want help with our finances right now! We must learn to be more patient. We must remember that God in heaven has the whole picture setting before him. He knows just when to make the right move. Every move that he makes is for our good. It may not seem that way to us, but you and I have only a small portion of the picture before us. We must have faith that our prayers will be answered. We must have faith that our loved ones will be taken care of by God. We must have faith that our finances will turn out for the best. A strong faith in Jesus is the key to our patience. If we have faith that the Lord is true and faithful, then we are better prepared to wait for our answers. We are able to take time to set back and not miss the answers he gives us. Being patient in the Lord is important and should not be taken lightly. He loves us and will never let us down. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

WHY WORRY?

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1

TODAY’S MESSAGE: A lot of our life is taken up with worry. We worry about how much food we can put on the table. We worry about how we are going to be able to put gas in our vehicles. We worry about our kids and grandkids. We worry about how we are going to be able to meet next month’s sales goals at work. We worry about this, and we worry about that. Almost everything we do has some kind of worry attached to it. Worry is a sin! So, why do we worry so much? We worry because we are being attacked by the world who represents the devil. Worry is one of the devil’s primary tools. He looks at our weaknesses and throws worry at us like throwing paint at a wall. It splatters all over and is very difficult to get away from. We must remember that our Lord has given us the ability to overcome worry. He teaches us to pray out in faith and not out of anxiety. We are not to pray out of fear, but instead we are to pray with the faith that he hears us and that our answer is on the way. When the world throws fear or doubt at us, we are not to waste our time concentrating on it. We are to go directly to God in prayer. We are not to give worry, doubt or fear a chance to grow roots. Instead, brush them away by giving them to God and let him deal with them. We must be able to stand in the face of the world and confess authority in Christ Jesus! When we do, fear, worry and doubt will go away. It is important that we depend upon Jesus and not on ourselves. We don’t have the ability on our own to deal with the devil and his ways. Without Jesus we have no chance. However, with Jesus we will be victorious. It is through His name that we become bold and strong. It is through Jesus that we can do all things! Jesus is the answer and the only way to live a life that shows strength and love in this world. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE TREE AND ITS FRUIT-PEOPLE AND THEIR ACTIONS

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act.” Matthew 7:15-16—– “Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.” Matthew 7:20

TODAY’S MESSAGE: “A picture is worth a thousand words”. I’m sure that most reading this message today has heard that saying. It reflects, very well, the message of Jesus. There are many in the world today who listen to words that come out of the mouths of those willing to spread the devil’s message but most of the time they do not watch closely the actions they produce. They do not watch how they live and what kind of fruit they produce in their lives. Words are worth nothing unless they are backed up by the proper actions. When those come who are spewing messages of deception, we must be very careful and know what is right from wrong. It is so important that we know what God’s Word says. We must be familiar with his intentions, his promises and how he wants us to live. With that we must compare those who come before us to the Word of God. We must compare how they live to how the bible says they should live. We must be able to separate ourselves from the bad fruit, the wolves in sheep’s clothing and those who just out and out lie. It takes a strong commitment from us to do so. We are to live our lives in the way our God has intended us to. We must apply his principles to our lives and live as good fruit and not as spoiled fruit. When we do this, we are able to see through those who are false and not honest in the way they say they are. The Lord has given us the tools to live in this world as protected and strong believers. He loves us and does not want us to fail. But when we do fail, he will pick us up and put us back the right track, if we just ask. Let us all be aware of our surroundings as we never know what is around the corner. COME OUT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? 2 Corinthians 6: 14-15—– ” Therefore, come out from unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.” 2 Corinthians 6:17

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As the world turns so do we. It is so easy to become a part of the world and enjoy the things of the world. It is easy to do these things because the world has made it seem reasonable and effortless. The things people do today have been made to look good. They have slowly integrated the ways of evil into our society, and we become a part of that. However, our Lord tells us very clearly that we are to come out and take our hands off of the things that are filthy, evil and that go directly against his ways. We sometimes find ourselves involved in things that are clearly not of the Lord. We find that we have been tricked into doing things because they are “ok”, when in reality they are not ok. The devil is very slick in the way he does things. He knows the ways of our Lord and will do everything within his power to present to us things that look good but are not. It is at these times that we must come out and fight against him. We must know God’s Word front to back. We are to pray for understanding and have faith that God has given it to us. We are to take action upon his word. In other words, we are to take his promises and his commands into the world and live them. We are to justify them in our own lives and do so without hesitation. We are to recognize this world for what it is. We are to understand that the devil is running amuck and causing confusion and destruction along the way. He will leave no survivors. However, we have the answer. We have the only way to survive and that is with Jesus! So, let us come out just as the Lord has directed. Let us stand firm and not be fearful of what is ahead. When we are knocked down let us get up with the gusto of Jesus and rebuke the evil that attacks us. Jesus is Lord and we must follow him in every situation we find ourselves in.
