UP-DATE YOUR MIRACLE RADAR!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

TODAY’S: Unseen miracles are miracles that are happening without being detected or being noticed. Even though they may go unnoticed they are still very significant. They can be reminders of God’s promises for our lives. Quiet miracles happen each and every day. They seem to come and go without even a glancing thought being thrown their way. It is difficult to recognize these miracles if we are not properly trained in our spiritual life. We must be awakened by our faith in what our God can and will do in our lives. What do we call that near crisis when our car suddenly crosses the yellow line but at the last moment, we are alerted to make the correction just before a deadly crash occurs? What do we call that sudden promotion at work that was totally unexpected? What do we call it when our small child, just beginning to walk, suddenly is noticed standing on the edge of the steps, but at the last moment is seen and rescued? Many refer to these events as a coincidence. Others shrug them off as though nothing out of the ordinary has happened at all. These are all miracles of God. What do we call the birth of newborn baby that joins our family? We are very happy and do a lot of celebrating but do we get on our knees and thank God for one of the greatest miracles he performs in our lives? These are all great demonstrations of miracles that cannot happen without the assistance of our God in heaven. These are miracles that go unnoticed, and our Lord is never given the praise or the glory for what he has done in our lives. It is time to adjust our miracle radar. It is time to tune ourselves into what is happening in the spiritual world of the unseen and not the world around us. It is time to stand up as a of child of God and give Him credit where his credit is due. It is time to allow our faith to take over our thoughts and actions and allow ourselves to recognize these everyday experiences for what they are, great miracles of God. It is time to get our bibles out to read and meditate upon as often as we can. It is time to get on our knees and praise and thank our God in heaven for fulfilling his promises to us each day. It is time to up-date our miracle radar! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN…

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “But if you keep looking steadily into God’s perfect law- the law that sets you free- and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.” James 1:25

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Today’s message will give each of us the opportunity to dig deep into our beliefs and find what is most important to us in our lives. It is so easy to sometimes get involved so deeply in the events of our lives that we forget what we are doing here in the first place. We were chosen for this moment by God himself. There is no happen stance in our existence. We were created for a purpose, and we were given a free choice as to follow that purpose or to take a different direction. There are so many things of this world that make us happy. Our families are the first to come to mind. There are also things like a good job and living in a country that represents the freedoms that we all love. There is that perfect vacation, the weekend football games, the love of golfing and many other things too numerous to mention. What we forget, while enjoying all of our earthly excitement, is who provides all of these opportunities for us. We forget who puts that perfect person in our path, who gives us that great family and that great vacation we so desire. We get so involved in our happiness on this earth that we forget about the joy that is provided by our Lord God in heaven. Our focus has gone down the wrong path and we relish things of this world, things that one day will be gone. It is time for us to take a step back and look at what we are doing. What is most important in our lives? Where do our thoughts go most of the time? Are they thinking of the things of the world or are they on our relationship with Jesus Christ? Are we living our lives to satisfy our own desires or are we living our lives to please our creator in heaven? It is time to reassess! The time is short, and priorities are important. Where is the Lord in your list of priorities? JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

ANSWERS TO PRAYER – GRAB THEM AND NEVER LET THEM GO!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:If you need wisdom- if you want to know what God wants you to do, ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent you’re asking. But when you ask him, be sure you really expect him to answer, for a doubtful mind is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. People like that should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. They can’t make up their minds. They waver back and forth in everything they do.” James 1:5-8

TODAY’S MESSAGE: When we were children, I would venture to guess that if we had a problem we would not hesitate to go to our mom or dad for help. We depended upon them and believed without doubt that they would help us and make the problem better. Now as grown adults we continue have problems in our lives and in many cases, they are magnified. It is in these times when we need to ask questions and get answers. We have solutions coming to us from all directions. We probably have many different answers, and it only makes our situation worse. We do have another avenue for help. We have the ability to pray to our God in heaven through Christ Jesus. James is clear as to how we are to pray and how we are not to doubt when we pray. You see, doubt is sinful, and if we are doubting, we will not receive from God, as he does not recognize doubt and fear but does recognize faith and trust. When we pray, we are to trust God as our source. He has promised he will answer, and we know he doesn’t go back on his promises. It’s not easy to eliminate the noise around us. It’s hard to shut it out, but that is exactly what we have to do when praying. We must be able to pray with determination and strength. We must believe that our God in heaven hears our prayers and will answer. If we know he will answer, we can then become assured of peace of mind. We can move forward with confidence knowing that we receive from God because God is our source. It is God that gives us understanding, wisdom and peace of mind. It is the world that provides us with confusion, fear, doubt and worry. We are not to waver in our belief but instead we should be sure of receiving what we ask for. With faith our answers to prayer are at our fingertips. We should hold onto his mighty promises and never forget that he is faithful in all that we ask. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FAITH ASSURES OUR SALVATION!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 ———- “But were not like those who turn their backs on God and seal their fate. We have faith that assures our salvation.” Hebrews 10:39

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Salvation is a special gift by the grace of our God. He has given us this gift by the sacrifice of his one and only son. He allowed Jesus to go through the worst of times here on this earth so that you and I could have an opportunity at living in eternity with him. He loves us as he loves Jesus. He wants us to love him as he loves us. However, he wants us to come to him willingly and without reservation. He never has and never will pressure us to believe in him. He has given each of us a free will and the opportunity to hear about the truths of Jesus. For those who chose to follow the Lord, faith is vital. Faith allows us to believe in something we cannot see but gives us the confidence we need to move forward with strength and the truth in our life. It is by the actions of our Lord throughout our lives that allow us to experience opportunities to believe in the Lord Jesus. We begin by knowing of him and then, by prayer and truth, we begin to develop a relationship with him. We hear of the experiences he had upon this earth. We hear of his death and resurrection, and through this hearing, our faith begins to grow. By the time he returns there will be no one who will not have heard of Jesus. But only a few will know him personally. It is by a strong and everlasting faith that allows for a belief that cannot be broken. It is by meditation in his word, prayer, praise and thanksgiving that we continue to grow our faith. It is by faith that a strong focus keeps us away from the desires of the world. It is by faith that we are assured of our salvations! JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

KEEP YOUR FOUNDATION FIRM!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “When the earth quakes and its people live in turmoil, I am the one who keeps its foundations firm.” Psalm 75:3

TODAY’S MESSAGE: If you have not seen problems in your life, you will. If you have not seen sorrow or confusion in your life, you will. We have not been created within our new birth in Jesus to accept worry, doubt and fear in our lives, but we must be able to withstand the result of their actions. They will try to overtake us and make us a part of them. The turmoil we confront must be soundly defeated and the only way we can do that is by building and maintaining a strong foundation in Christ Jesus. When we are attacked, we are able to stand up strong with the word of God in our hand. We are able to pull down the strongholds of the devil with the promises of our God in heaven. We are able to shout the name of Jesus in the face of desperate times. Even if our lives look hopeless there is strength in Jesus. Even if we look like we are defeated, we are able to once again rise up and be strong in his word. Jesus is our today and tomorrow. He is our strength and our hope. It is through Him that a new character is born in us, and we are able to be strong and never succumb to the world. If we keep our eyes on Jesus and never look away, we will always be prepared. Even if we feel down, worried, weak or completely blown away by our issues, we will be strong again. Jesus is our answer, but we must always keep him in our sights. JESUS IS LORD! JESUS CAME TO SERVE AND NOT BE SERVED!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant; and whoever wants to first among you must be a slave to all. For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others and to give my life as a ransom for others.” Mark 10:43-45

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Jesus was a prime example of a leader who served others. There is no doubt that Jesus, as the Son of God, was a leader and not a follower. He attracted many during his journey on this earth. Wherever he went many followed. He was not one who displayed fear into others and never one to condemn others as the leaders of the world did. Instead, he led with a servant’s attitude. He led with love, compassion, a silent strength and with a desire to be a servant to those around him. He is our example. He is the way a leader should testify to the world. We are to follow our leader as we journey our path in life. We are to show a way that is not self-serving but one that is full of compassion for others and has the willingness to serve and not to be served. When we follow Jesus’ lead, we begin to prepare the stage for his message. People will begin to ask questions, and we will be prepared to answer those questions. People around us will feel welcomed into our life and we will be able to set forth the salvation message. Jesus gave his all. His compassion for others went deeper than you and I can even imagine. He put his life on the cross for each of us. All that we must do is accept, believe, and have the faith to live our belief. The time is now for us to act. That message must be shown to others. It is time for each of us to be strong in the Lord and begin to show our love and compassion by becoming a soothing existence to others and not an overbearing trying to strong arm those around us into salvation. God has given us all a free will. We are to spread his message, but those who hear it must make their own decisions. Jesus lived the life he proposed to others, just as you and I are to live the life we spread to others. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

DUMB IT DOWN!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord, no matter what happens.” Hebrews 10:35 ———- ” So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

TODAY’S MESSAGE: It is so easy to begin to over think things. In today’s world, just as in the world of yesterday, we think of ourselves as smart and able to solve the problems of the world. The world may be as small as our own immediate surroundings, or it may be the problems of the world we live in. It matters not. To put it into simple words, we have become too big for our own pants. We forget that we have a creator who actually is the world’s problem solver. We forget that he is with us in every situation. We forget that our Lord Jesus went to the cross so that we could have the opportunities he has given for eternal life with him. We often leave our faith behind us and begin our journey out on our own. When this happens, worry and doubt begin to take over our thoughts and actions. Our health begins to deteriorate, and our joy is taken from us. It is in these times that we must stop and be reined back in. It is in these times that we must go back to God’s Word and begin, to once again, wrap our arms around it, allowing it to seep into our lives. We must, once again, secure this confident trust in the Lord. We must allow our faith to sprout thoroughly throughout our lives. We must allow it to grow, and we must recognize its power. We must dumb down our thinking and allow God to do his work in our lives just as he promised. We must not try to outdo our Lord. He is forever faithful and will never go back on the promises he has made to us. It is not easy to allow ourselves to be as simple as living by faith. However, we must trust God and not the world. We are the children of God, and he wants nothing less than a joyful life for each of us. It is time to step back, dumb down and allow God to do his work! JESUS IS LORD! EVERY PRAYER COUNTS!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints. ” Ephesians 6:18 ———- ” Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” James 5:16

TODAY’S MESSAGE: When election time rolls around I often here those around me say that they are not going to vote because their vote will not count. There could be nothing farther from the truth. Every vote does count. It is the same with prayer. I often hear others say, well I didn’t pray for this or that because I knew that so many others have prayed about it. Again, nothing could be farther from the truth. Our Lord God wants to hear from us. He wants us to be consistent and always praying. Every prayer counts. It is important to stay focused and pray often. It never hurts to keep praying about a matter you are to be prayerful about. We should pray as often as we think about it. Pray every day for your family, your daily routine, your fellow workers, your friends and your neighbors. Be specific if you can. Pray exactly what their needs may be. If they are sick pray for their healing. If they are in need of financial help pray that the Lord will help them. If they are in trouble or in danger, then pray that the Lord will deliver them out of their situation. Our prayers that we pray everyday are very important. Be prayerful, be consistent and be patient. The Lord does hear your prayers and does act upon them. We must communicate with our God as often as we can. We can never pray too much. Our Lord God is listening and working to fulfill each prayer request! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FAILURE IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: ” About an hour later someone else insisted, ‘ This must be one of Jesus’ disciples because he is a Galilean, too.’ But Peter said, ‘ Man, I don’t know what you are talking about.’ and as soon as he said these words, the rooster crowed. At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered that the Lord had said, ‘ Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny me three times.’ And Peter left the courtyard crying bitterly.” Luke 22: 59-62

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Peter, being one of the disciples who was very close to Jesus, failed. He did not just fail once, but scripture shows how he was tripped up many times in his earthly walk with Jesus. Peter learned from his failures. He learned to overcome them and in doing so, was able to come closer to Jesus and become one who was able to lead thousands to the Lord. I have heard comments from many, who think that because they have made so many mistakes in life, they have no chance to seek and find peace in Jesus. They couldn’t be farther from the truth. The love of Jesus is stronger than anything we can imagine. Even Jesus, in his human existence, cried tears of fear when He cried out to his Father just before his arrest. There is never too much baggage that can keep us from him. There is nothing too heavy that he cannot pick it up and take from us. We, however, must realize that every person who has accepted Jesus has gone to him with sin in their veins. It doesn’t matter how low you think you have sunk or how far you have turned from him; he is always available to accept you if you are sincere and turn from your sins. Just as Peter, who denied him three times in the end, we must begin by asking him to help us. We must begin our prayer journey by having an honest conversation with him. We must bow down before him and ask for his forgiveness. We must begin to read his word and study and meditate upon it. We must begin to surround ourselves with those who love Jesus and who are willing to fellowship with us. Jesus loves us. It doesn’t matter the color of our skin, the amount of sin we have committed or anything else the devil tries to lie about. Failure is not the end of the story; it is the beginning of the new story in your life with Jesus! JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FOR CHRIST GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO REACH YOU!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 9:14

Today’s Message: Since Jesus left this world and went to set at the right hand of God, his message has been spread throughout the world. It has spread just as hot lava running down a volcano. His message of salvation is at every corner and in every room. It is in our businesses and in our schools. It flows from our churches and exhibits itself through our TV sets and our phones, where information spreads faster than we can imagine. The only thing that stops it are the people of this world. Sometimes it is heard, and it is run away from. Sometimes we the people hear it and scorn it. Sometimes we hear it and accept it but then evil comes back into our lives and we again turn our backs. Jesus did not give up his life so that you and I have a one and done chance at salvation. He gave up his life on this earth, so we have ample opportunities at eternal life. Jesus is everywhere. However, we must have a change of heart that changes us for the good. We must be able to trust, believe and receive. The only way we are able to do that is to continue to march forth in his word and study it consistently. We must develop a consistent prayer life, one that allows us to communicate with him on a personal level. We must consistently praise him with all the energy we can give. We must give him glory and thanks for who he is and what he does. It is important that we keep him active in our lives. He gives us every opportunity to do just that. Remember, Jesus goes out of his way to reach out to us. We then, should go out of our way to accept what he has offered, salvation for eternal life. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LOVE GOD INTENSELY AND THE REST OF LIFE STRAIGHTENS OUT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you all things, and what he teaches is true – not a lie.” 1 John 2:27

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Scripture allows us the opportunity to learn and understand the ways of our Lord. The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives give us the opportunity for hearing the truth and being guided in the right direction. Sometimes it takes great effort on our part to concentrate and be willing to listen. When I was in school, I had a listening problem. I was always thinking of what I was going to do next instead of paying attention and listening to my teacher. Had I been more intense in my learning and listening skills in school I might have learned more. I am now in a different classroom. I am in God’s classroom and my listening skills must become better. Even though what I learned in my schooling from many years ago was very important, what I am learning from the Holy Spirit today is a matter of life and death.

It is important that we be intense when we are studying under the direction of the Holy Spirit. We are to be passionate about God’s subject matter and devote ourselves completely to his service. We are to seek a close relationship with him through prayer, worship, praise and obedience. We are to ask for his understanding and receive it. We are to ask for his wisdom and be willing to accept it. We are to focus. We are to put him at the center of our thoughts, actions and emotions. Our God in heaven is to be the center of our life. As we progress through our training, we should develop a deep appreciation for who he is, what he has done and what he is about to do. We should put our relationship with him first in our lives and think about him frequently. We should have an intensity that is always appreciative of him. We should dig deeper and strengthen our faith. We should allow our roots to grow down deep in order to reach his life-giving water in our lives. Our mission in today’s life is to maintain our intensity for our learning of God’s ways, and to have a better understanding of the love of Jesus and his mighty sacrifice. We are to live each and every day showing our learning to others. You see, if we love God with intensity then the rest of our life will straighten out. Have faith, trust always and never give up on the Lord! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

PERFECT LOVE DESTROYS FEAR!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Just what does it mean to have perfect love? How do we obtain perfect love? There is no one who enjoys fearing. Fear of anything is not of the Lord. It is from the evil one, the destroyer, the devil himself. However, when we fear we are allowing ourselves to accept this condition in our lives. We are opening ourselves up to fear instead of the love of Jesus. Perfect love is a love that is unconditional in nature. It is a love that is complete and mature. This love was shown by Jesus when he was on the earth. He faced all kinds of desperate situations but never feared. He, at times, would become upset with the world. He would become sad because of the condition of the world, but he never was afraid. He plugged along in this world with one mission and that was to fulfill the love commitment he had for each of us. It was his unconditional love that kept him going. It was his love for us, but it also was for his love for his Father God in heaven. There was nothing that could deter him from fulfilling his mission. His love for us was unconditional and fear could not stand in his way. Because of this, fear ran from him. Fear and love cannot be in the same place at the same time. Why not? Because they are direct opposites. We can experience this love if we just increase our faith and live as the bible tells us to. We must know his commands for our lives, live in step with what the Holy Spirit tells us, and fear will not be present. As humans we are all a work in progress. It is not easy not to fear. It is easy to look at what the world shows us as reality and begin to believe the fear of the unknown. But with our hope, our faith and our trust in the Lord, the only thing we will be capable of is walking in in Godly love. With persistent prayer and study of God’s Word we are able to develop perfect and undeniable love in our hearts and fear will flee from us! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

JESUS IS COMING WITH ME!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Have you ever left Jesus at home when you go out and are around others? Have you ever been embarrassed to talk about the one who has given you a chance at eternal life? If you have done this or are doing this, it is time to change. Our Lord is with us always. He hears us and he sees our every action. There is nothing we can do that will temporally shut Jesus out of our life. If we are turning our ways to the world and then trying to satisfy Jesus at the same time, we will quickly find that this does not work! No matter where we go, he is with us, and we must be able to have enough faith to stand up, with the power and strength he has given us, to show others that we belong to him and not to the ways of this world. There will be those who will shun us. There will be those who will make fun of us and there will be those who persecute us. However, Jesus went through the same things. It didn’t matter how fiercely he was persecuted. It didn’t matter how many times they laughed at him. It didn’t matter if they spit in his face and walked away, or that he had to physically be beaten to near death. He marched on and kept telling the truth. He has been there and done that. There is nothing in this world that can hurt us if we take Jesus everywhere we go. He will give us strength in every situation. He will help us in all things. He loves us and we must equally love him. We must always remember to never leave our house without Jesus. He is our drives license, our house keys and the key to our vehicles. He must always be with us. We need his protection and his strength in all that we do and every place that we go! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LIVE THE POWER!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “For the word of God is full of living power.” Hebrews 4:12

TODAY’S MESSAGE: God’s living and Active Word is at Work in Our Lives! Because God’s Word is living and active, we are equipped with His power and love in our hearts. His thoughts become our thoughts, and His ways influence our behaviors and direct our activities. When we accept Jesus, our Lord takes up residence in our being in the form of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is active and alive within us because our God is a living and active God. He guides us and helps us to make right decisions. He will convict us to do the correct things and convict us to stay away from the evil that stands before us. He has the ability to open our innermost feelings and desires, exposing our secrets and forcing us to be honest in the way we live. However, it is up to us to listen and obey. As we begin to listen and meditate upon His Word, we begin to change and become different. We begin to be more productive and begin to live our lives in a different and more energized way. His Word is transformative as it begins to redirect our lives. We go from thinking like the world to thinking like our God in heaven. Our heart begins to change and our way of life changes as well. The Word of God is full of living power. Our God is a living and energetic God. He is our creator and our controller. When we become a child of God, we are to reflect the changes he makes in us so that we can display his ways to the world. It is by faith that we accept him, and it is by faith that we follow Him. THE TWO-WAY CONVERSATION

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “So even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all of those who obey him.” Hebrews 5: 8-9

TODAY’S MESSAGE: It should be a privilege and an honor to be able to speak to our God in heaven. We don’t have to go through anyone or anything to speak with him. We don’t have to learn a ritual to be able to get to him. We don’t have to make an appointment to reach out to him. We can stop what we are doing at any time, and be anywhere, and still be able to reach out to God. He is always there to listen to us. What we sometimes forget is that the conversations we have with Him are to be two-way. We may ask; just how does God speak to us. One way is through his Holy Word. As we read and meditate, he will apply it to our lives. A particular scripture may suddenly jump off the page just when we need it. It may take on new meaning to fit our circumstances. The verse has not changed, it has always been there, but the Holy Spirit gives it to us when it will help us most. Another way the Lord speaks to us is through other people. He will send people our way when we need them the most. They may give us food, clothing or a word from God just at the right time. Still another way God communicates is through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the God head and is ready and willing to talk with us. According to scripture the Holy Spirit will lead, rebuke, affirm, comfort and assure us when we need it most. Our prayers are to be two-way conversations with God. We must be able to not only take our requests to him but also be ready and willing to recognize his voice when he speaks. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

CLEAR THE TEMPLE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE’S: “When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out the merchants and their customers.” Mark 11:15 —– “He taught them, Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a place of prayer for all the nations, but you have turned it into a den of thieves.’ ” Mark 11:17

TODAY’S MESSAGE: When we accept Jesus into our lives, we accept great responsibility. God sends the Holy Spirit to come to reside within us. Our bodies become the temple of the living God. Our bodies are no different than the temple that Jesus visited in Jerusalem on that day with his disciples. It is to be a place of prayer and goodness and not of worldly ideas floating around in our heads. Our hearts are to be made clean, and our lives changed. Many years ago, when I accepted Jesus, I came into the relationship as a heavy smoker. The Holy Spirit began to convict me of that bad habit beginning on day one. I pondered the idea that my body was the temple of God and that my bad habit was doing nothing short of destroying his temple. However, the habit was hard to break. But as I went on and continued to develop my relationship with Jesus, the conviction of my smoking habit began to overwhelm me, and I took my cigarettes to the burn barrel and threw them away. Was that an easy thing to do? No, it was not! But my relationship with the Lord was stronger than my habit. My prayer time each day was filled with the guilt that I was not doing everything to make my life different. Each time I would take a smoke I would wonder whether those around me were seeing me as a good representative of Jesus or seeing me as a hypocrite. Smoking and Jesus just didn’t go together. I had begun to clear God’s temple of the rubbish in my life, but I had not yet thrown out that particular bad habit. We are all tempted in life. We all have things that try to drive us away from the Lord. But as we continue to grow in Christ, we become more sensitive to what he wants of us. He understands that our relationship with him takes time. But over time, we will begin reflecting his characteristics and not our own. There is always time each day to do a little cleaning in the temple. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

JESUS BECAME MAN!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: ” Because God’ children are human beings – made of flesh and blood – the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil who had the power of death.” Hebrews 2:14 ——– “Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing; he is able to help us when we are being tested.” Hebrews 2:18

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Jesus the Son of God was asked to perform the most difficult task possible. It was by being born human and dying as a human, that Jesus would be able to save you and me from the power of death and destruction. God was the creator of all good in this universe. The devil was the creator of sin and evil. The devil and his sinful ways use death as a cruel weapon in this world and it always wins. In order for the power of sin to be broken, Jesus entered this world as a human being, having all the characteristics of humanness just as you and I. He had to be made human in order to die as a sacrifice for us. Because Jesus came into this world and walked the steps that we walk, and then died on our behalf, sin was broken. By sacrificing his human life here on earth, he offered us the forgiveness of sin just by trusting and believing in him. There was no other way. Had Jesus decided that this was too much and had told God that he would rather not go to hell and back for us, our lives here on earth would be so much different today. Due to his walk through his earthly struggles, problems, persecution and death, he is able to help each of us with our problems. It is necessary that we recognize the magnitude of this sacrifice. It saved us! All we have to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savio, trust him and continue to believe. Yes, we will all die, and our spirits will live for eternity. However, it is our choice as to whether we will live in the eternal presence of God in heaven or in the eternal presence of the devil in hell. We should thank and praise Jesus every day for what he has done for you and me. He sacrificed the fullest so that we can live. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: ” For many are called but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14 ———- ” You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39

TODAY’S MESSAGE: There are people in the world today that believe they can do all the things of the world, have fun, drink and be jolly and live lives that are not accounted for, and then at the last-minute, go to God and be forgiven and allowed into his Kingdom. The thoughts of those people are very dangerous. The Lord makes it very clear that it is not that easy to get through the pearly gates. He tells us in Matthew 22:14 that many are called but only a few are chosen. I would certainly not want to put my eternal life on the edge of this cliff and allow myself to be so close to hell. It is important that we train ourselves up in his Holy Word. We must consider what he wants of us and learn how to live our lives in such a way. If we are continually living in the world, it will not be easy to change our ways in a moment’s notice and suddenly be a what God wants us to be. We are to love the Lord with all of heart, mind and soul. We are to love God with every part of our being. This includes our emotions from our heart, our thoughts and understanding from our mind and the very essence of our spirit(soul). Because we are all born sinners it takes time to be able to change our ways. When we meet Christ Jesus on a personal level we invite him into our heart. We are giving up the ways of this world and entering into a contract with our God in heaven, by loving his son with every part of our existence. This does not mean that a person laying on the death bed cannot accept Christ and enter into his eternal Kingdom. This is quite possible. However, not everyone will have that opportunity. After living in the world for so long, many will have hardened hearts and will not be able to change in the last moments of their lives. We must remember the sacrifice Jesus made when he died on the cross. He did so, so that you and I would not have to. His sacrifice is greater than any we are asked to make. It is time today to get your ticket for your admission to the greatest event you will ever attend. It is time to meet Jesus on a personal level and assure yourself of eternal life. Jesus loves you and wants very much to enter your heart. Take the time, learn about his ways and then get as close to Jesus as you can. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

LIVING IN THE SHADOW!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: ” Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

TODAY’S MESSAGE: When we were born into our earthly families we were born into their households. We became valued members of their lives. Their most valued duty was to keep us, as a newborn child, protected. It was our mom and dad who were always watching over us to protect us from anything evil. We became a member of the family with all the rights and protections they provided. It is the same with God in Heaven. When we come to the Lord Jesus and accepted Him as our Lord and Savior, we began to live under his roof. We were re-born into his household and became shareholders of all the rights and protections he provides. His objective is to protect us and provide for us. It matters not where we go or what we are doing our rightful provider and protector is always with us. We are never out of his sight. As we begin living in his shadow He is at our fingertips whenever we need him. There is no problem too big or any situation that we cannot handle as long as we are living under the shadow of our God in heaven. It is through our acceptance of His Son, Jesus Christ, that we have been introduced to our living God as members of his holy family and are to receive all rights and protections he provides. It is by faith that you and I continue to be strong in our trust. It is by our faith that we are capable of living our lives in the shadow of our Lord God. He loves us so much that he provided us with another avenue to eternal life. It is Jesus our personal Lord and Savior! JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

REACH OUT AND PRAY!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “You have heard that the law of Moses says, ‘ Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you.’ ” Matthew 5: 43-44

TODAY’S MESSAGE: We have very difficult assignments as displayed by Jesus Christ. We are to love our enemies and to pray for them. It doesn’t matter how badly they have persecuted us we are still to love them and to go the prayer for them. Just as Jesus did when he walked the earth, we are to go into the trenches of life and meet those who differ from us and may even hate us. We are to bring the word to each and make sure they hear the good news of salvation and eternal life. This becomes difficult because our human nature tells us to do just the opposite. It is our worldly nature to hate those who hate us. It is our way to hurt those who hurt us. But that is not the way of Christ. He healed the sick and prayed for his enemies. He never persecuted those who disagreed with him, nor did he talk bad about them behind their backs. He did nothing short of showing love for all and continued to live the life that his Father in heaven sent him to do. If you and I do not carry the Holy Word of God and his Salvation Message to the world around us, then how will they hear it? It is our lives and the way we live them that become the outlet for God to use in this world. Yes, God could do it on his own, but he instead has chosen to use us as his instruments. It is his will that we as his children put ourselves out there and show the unsaved the way to eternal life. Jesus is love. He is not hate and persecution. Our assignment is not an easy one. But it is one of necessity and of extreme urgency. We are to love and not hate and to do good and not persecute. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

DON’T BECOME SO BUSY YOU CANNOT RECEIVE HIS BLESSINGS!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “My cup overflows with blessingsPsalm 23:5

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Is it possible to become so busy with our own lives that we are able to shut out the message and the blessings from our Lord Jesus? Is it possible that we are able to shy away from the most important aspect of our lives and instead put our focus on ourselves and our daily activities? It may seem surprising to many but the answer to these questions is a resounding YES! We do it all of the time. God is rich in blessings. He loves us so much that he is ready, willing and does pour blessings over us each day. However, we become so involved with our earthly lives that we sometimes don’t recognize, nor do we accept what our Lord is doing for us. We are blessed daily with things that we just shrug off because we don’t take the time to focus on what our God has done and is doing in our lives. We are blessed with the food on our tables. We are blessed with our earthly possessions that we would not have without the abilities and opportunities given to us by our Lord God. We are blessed with the children we have received and blessed with the opportunity to raise them. We are blessed to have vehicles we can drive and with the employment we have to provide the best for our families. We are blessed with the houses we live in, and the people we meet and develop relationships with. We are blessed with our families, and we are blessed with the greatest and most generous God we can have. He blessed us by giving his one and only Son to die a most inhumane death on that cross so that you and I could have life. We are blessed every day to be alive with the opportunity to spread the message of salvation through the death of Jesus to others. It is time to take a step back and begin to thank our God in heaven for all of the blessings we entertain every day. It is time to stop taking these blessings for granted and begin to give our God the praise and the glory he so richly deserves. Yes, it is time to give our God our attention and to focus on Him and not the world around us. We must remember that without Him and his blessings our lives would be much different. We are so blessed for what we have, no matter how much. It is he who gives us the opportunities and the blessings in our lives. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.” Psalm 34:22 ———- ” The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.” Psalm 34:19

TODAY’S MESSAGE: The world we live in is full of confusion. Every direction we turn there are things happening that seem to defy the way we have always lived our lives. In many cases we do not know which way to turn or who we should listen to. We seem to never hear the truth. On one hand we are being told what we want to hear but on the other hand what we are being told is not what is being done. Our Lord God has direction for us. He spells out his thoughts and his promises for those who have the faith to believe and receive. He tells us that for those who believe, receive and live their lives in servitude to Him, he will then save us from the existing confusion in our lives. He tells us that a righteous person, one who follows the Lord, and lives according to his ways, will continue have troubles. There are problems for everyone who lives in the world. However, as followers of Christ Jesus we have a safety net that will catch us when we fall. We have a refuge where we can go when we need a place of comfort. Jesus is the answer. It does not matter how large our problem is he is always there to wrap his arms around us and keep us safe. We all have a purpose, and we all have duties to perform for our Lord. If we are still living upon this earth, then we are not finished. It is time to concentrate on the answer to our problems rather than the problems themselves. The devil and the world offer us wonderful and beautiful things but then will pull right from under us. Jesus offers us salvation and eternal life. There is a purpose and a learning experience through everything we encounter. It is time to keep moving forward with our focus on Jesus and the answer rather than the problems which will help to create greater sin in our lives. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

LIVING BY GOD’S WORD!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “People do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8:3

TODAY’S MESSAGE: For our physical bodies to continue to live we must nourish them each day. We must be sure to replenish our bodies with the right kind of foods and also with the rest that they require. However, we are more than just our physical bodies. We are spirits and our spirits need as much care as our bodies do. We, as spiritual beings, need nourishment from our God above. We need to be replenished by the Lord’s Word. We need to fill up our tanks with spiritual nourishment just as our human bodies need filling with worldly nourishment. We need more than the physical things of this world to live a full and joyous life. It is vital that we listen and be doers of God’s Word. Before we can be fully engrained within his will, we must know what he wants of us and how we can accomplish his desires. In Matthew 4:4 Jesus tells Satan, during the time Satan was tempting him, that his obedience to God’s Word is most important and that food alone cannot be our livelihood. God wants us to satisfy our spiritual needs through studying his Word and living our lives in accordance with his ways. He wants us to be focused on our spiritual lives and to continue walk toward Him every day. He loves us and never leaves us. He is always guiding us in the right direction. It is important that we, as God’s children look to him for nourishment and not to the world. If we do, our Lord will provide for us in every need we have, whether physical or spiritual. SEPARATE YOURSELF!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Don’t be afraid, just trust me.” Mark 5:36 —– ” And as Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army.” 2 Timothy 2:4

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As we begin our journey with Christ, we may have a hard time committing ourselves to the way Jesus wants us to live. We may continue to have one foot in the world and the other with Jesus. When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, he wants all of us and not just a part. We are to commit totally to his ways and his words. Fear will attack us and make us wonder what others will think of our new life. Embarrassment will fight against us and try to make us turn our lives back around. Fear and worry will lead us back in the direction from which we came, and we will soon be settled once again in our old ways. A total commitment to the Lord is just that, a total commitment. We are not to allow ourselves to be filled with the doubts of the world. We are not to be unfaithful to the Lord while continuing to be faithful to the ways of the world. However, we must live in the world so just what are we to do? It is important to keep ourselves close to the God’s Holy Word. We must know and try to understand what his ways are and then apply them to our lives. We are to pray and continue to talk with the Lord on a regular basis. Jesus must become our life. Our faith must grow. For it to grow we must continue to water it and feed it with constant study and meditation in his word. For some of us this will be a great difference in our lives. Those around us will take notice rather quickly and may begin to ask questions. Our new ways of living will open doors for others who may be searching for something solid to hang on to. We must become separated from the ways of this world. We must throw away doubts, fears and worries. We must be able to better recognize those around us who are putting obstacles in our ways and are trying to hinder our journey. We have been enlisted in God’s army. It is He that gives us direction, faith and trust. It is He who we are to listen to and not the world. As a part of His team, we are well prepared and well equipped. It is not an easy task to follow Jesus, but it does lead us to a much more joyful and fulfilling life. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

THE FULLNESS OF GOD IN HEAVEN!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, and you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe.” Colossians 2:9-10

TODAY’S MESSAGE: There have been questions throughout the history of mankind about the nature and presence of God in heaven. When Jesus came into the world, we were able to see the fullness of our God through Him. The words that came from Jesus and the actions he displayed, as he walked and taught, were all representative of God himself. The love that our God in heaven has for us was completely put on display through Jesus and how he lived. He healed, restored, forgave, saved and died because of his love for each of us. Jesus is a true reflection of his Father who sent him. He believed in his Father and showed that by the sacrifice he made upon the cross. Jesus has the same thoughts, actions, beliefs, love, patience, understanding, wisdom and strength that our God in heaven has. It is through Jesus that we see the wholeness and perfect picture of our God in heaven. It is through the actions of Christ that we are able to understand how our God thinks and how he wants us to live our lives. We are all given a free will. It is up to each of us to decide how our eternity will be spent. The death of Jesus has taken our place on that cross if we just accept and believe. We have been given Jesus to be able to communicate with our God. It is through Jesus that we develop relationships with God and are recognized as his child. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we become complete. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

WELCOME THE WORD OF GOD WITH OPEN ARMS!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES: “To those who are open to my teaching, more understanding, will be given. But to those who are not listening, even what they have will be taken away.” Matthew 4:25 —– “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline. So, you must never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.” 2 Timothy 1:7&8

TODAY’S MESSAGE: We belong to the strongest army ever defined. We have the greatest and strongest leader that there ever has been or ever will be. We belong the army of the Living God in Heaven. When we accept his great offering of Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are taking the oath to stand tall and strong within his army and never look back. As we go through his training, we are taught to better understand his words and thoughts. We are taught how to pray and receive the fruits of his answers. We are taught about the Holy Spirit and just how he functions in our lives and how we are to lean upon him for guidance. Our spirit becomes stronger because God strengthens it with power, love and self-discipline. Fear begins to fade from our thoughts and confidence begins to take over. We put on our uniform consisting of the full armor of God so that we are able to march into battle each day without fear of being harmed. We are given our orders which consists of spreading the salvation message to all the world. We are taught to put Jesus first in our lives and live in such a way that shows the stripes we earn within his army. We are to walk among those of the world with our heads held high and with a love and peace that will begin to flow to those around us. You and I are involved in a spiritual warfare that has been ongoing since the beginning of creation. For those who have not joined God’s army there will be great confusion, much fear and no future. It is up to you and me to do our jobs and make those in our own little worlds aware of what Jesus did for us when going to that cross. He was sacrificed for you and me to be able to live. He had his hands and feet nailed to the cross so that you and I could have a chance at eternal life. The choice is ours. It is time to choose between eternal life with God almighty or death with the devil in hell. JESUS IS LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

I DO!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES:Pursue a goldly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.” 1 Timothey 6:11

TODAY’S MESSAGE: I do believe in my God in heaven! I do trust in all of his ways! I do have a faith that is unwavering. I do understand that the riches I receive from my Lord God are eternal and I am richer than I can ever be on this earth with worldly riches. Believing and trusting are in separatable. It is important to make our Lord real in our lives. We cannot do that unless we are living in this world with a faith that will take us to new heights in our beliefs. We are unable to understand his ways without prayer and thanksgiving. It is impossible to live a life of joy without personally knowing Christ Jesus. It is impossible to live in the love of Christ without knowing him. We are to be able to set down and have conversations with him and trust that he is listening to our every word. We must be able to believe in his power and know without doubt that he is working in our lives. We must take a deep dive into his ways and pursue the godly life he is expecting of us. Our Lord loves us more than we can ever imagine. With a complete trust in him we will never be fearful or doubt him again. Loving our Lord is not a religion but a way of life. When we live it, we become overcomers and can live with joy, peace, and better understanding. No, we will never understand everything our Lord does or the reasons for the ways he does things, but he will help us along the way by supporting us with the tools he provides. He provides to us the Sword of the Spirit, the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Gospel of Peace, the Shield of Faith, and the Helmet of Salvation. He protects every part of our physical and spiritual being. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it is time to say “I Do! He is standing at the door knocking. THROW AWAY IMPATIENCE!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Don’t be impatient for the Lord to act! Travel steadily along his path; he will honor you, giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed.” Psalm 37:34

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Impatience is not a virtue that is given to us by God. We get into a hurry and often get ourselves into trouble because we feel that we cannot wait. If we let patience go by the wayside, then we will often miss what God is saying to us and will then make unwise decisions. Our Lord tells us to continue to steadily walk along his path and keep our focus on Him. We are not to change our focus to our problems and then find ourselves wandering around in the tall grass of confusion. Instead, we are to pray, meditate and be patient. When we pray it sometimes takes the Lord time to answer us. We then need patience. The reasons for his delay are many, but most often it is because our timing in not right. Our God in heaven has the whole picture set before Him. He knows what we need in life and just when we need it. Lives affect lives. Our life and the way we live it will affect someone else. We must stay patient in receiving answers from God because he knows just the right time to answer. When we focus on our Lord, patience will help us to grow, but when we begin to stray by focusing on the problem, then impatience begins to take over. It is time to throw impatience away, stay on the path the Lord has given us and continue to trust in Him. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

JESUS DID MORE THAN TALK; HE MADE THINGS HAPPEN!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “Be an example to all believers in what you teach, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

TODAY’S MESSAGE: As Jesus walked this earth, he did much more than just set down and talk about the scriptures. He lived in such a way that others would follow him. He performed miracles and he lived his life the way he taught and preached. He lived in love and purity. He cared for the sick and those with deformities. He lived a life that could not be denied, even by the Pharisees and the Sadducees. The message he carried with him was full of life. Everywhere he travelled he took away sickness and disease to make the lives of others easier. Through his actions and his life, he was able to obtain the faith of others. The faith of those around him became so strong that they eventually died terrible deaths before they would ever deny him.

The world we live in today is not much different than in Jesus’s time. He is still with us, in Spirit rather than in human form. He still performs miracles and heals people. However, he also allows us to go through temptations, sicknesses and sadness so that we can also develop and grow in a faith that will be unwavering. Our lives, too, are to representative of Jesus. We also are to be loving, kind and generous. We are to be wise in the Lord, know the scripture and be able to live our faith which must be undeniable. We also must be more than just talk. We must be able to make things happen. We must reach out to those who need Christ and offer the living, breathing salvation message he gives us. We must offer Jesus to all, by not only showing and talking the scriptures, but also by living the way the scriptures tell us. Our lives must be a showcase in a culture that is not of faith and trust in God. We must not try to live in the world sometimes and in Jesus when it suits us. We must commit to one and not the other. Which have you chosen? PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

EFFECTIVENESS FOR GOD DEPENDS ON DIVINE POWER AND NOT HUMAN TEMPERAMENT!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline. So, you must never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.” 2 Timothy 1:7 & 8

TODAY’S MESSAGE: Our Lord has created you and me in separate and unique ways. Some of us have strong personalities and others are more laid back and even sometimes call bashful. However, we all have the same assignment. We are to be great witnesses on behalf of our Lord God in heaven. We have been created in our own special way for our own unique way of presenting Christ Jesus to others. If it were left up to us as humans, some of us would never talk about Jesus for fear of what others would think of us. Others would be fearful of what might be done to them. Still others might believe that they are so perfect that they may not believe in Jesus at all. What must be understood is that God is in control and not you and me. It is He who decides what we say, when we say it and to whom we say it. Our message is not determined by who we are, what our temperament dictates or by our own thoughts and words. It is, however, dictated by our Lord. As we begin to listen to him, we begin to learn from him. Fear and doubt will fall by the wayside and his love and strength begin to flow through us. He builds our confidence and fills us with his mighty words and compassion for talking about his salvation message. It is by his Holy Spirit that we are guided to the right people at the right time and with the right words. It is up to each of us to take the first step. We must first trust in him and begin to put his message first in our own lives. He loves us. He has created us all in his own image. We are who we are for a reason, and he will help us to deliver his message in the way he has planned. let us all stay strong by daily prayer, daily bible readings and continuous praise and glorification of our Lord God in heaven!
