JESUS RESPONDS TO OUR FAITH!

“Don’t be afraid, just have faith, and she will be healed.” Luke 8:50

” Jesus is the author and the perfecter of faith.” Hebrews 12:2

” All faith in Christ is faith that has come from and through Christ.” Acts 3:16

” Our faith in Jesus Christ saves us and is the gift of God alone.” Ephesians 2: 8-9

” Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God, must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

When it comes to our Lord, faith is everything. Being dedicated to the one we cannot see is a true and honest action that satisfies our Lord God in heaven. It is impossible to even believe in our Lord without faith. The bible tells us in Romans 10:17 that, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Our God is not a forceful God. He is not going to make us do anything we don’t want to do. He will guide us to the right path, he will help us get through hard times and even heal our physical ailments, but only if we ask and believe without doubt when we do ask. The scriptures for today are just the tip of the iceberg for examples of statements of faith from the Word of God. There is example upon example throughout the bible of those who lived by faith, were saved by faith and healed by faith. There are many examples of those who fought through fear, doubt and worries to overcome great obstacles in their lives by using their faith in God. You and I are no different. We must prove to God that we truly love him. We must be trustworthy by turning our lives over to God in heaven and allowing him to work within us. We must live by example to others,’ to show that our faith is strong, and that the world is secondary because God is our source for life and for everything we need in life. When we pray, we must pray with conviction. We must pray with the belief that the Lord is answering our prayers whether we see immediate results or not. Faith is the foundation of our belief. We must always remember that “we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.” Philippians 4:13 PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

GOD’S TIMING IS ALWAYS CORRECT!

Ecclesiastes 3:1; Ecclesiastes 3:11; 1 Peter 5:6; Isaiah 60:22; Mark 13:32; Matthew 24:7

Time is of the essence in this world today. The world that we live in has always been complicated and confusing for all who have not had a solid relationship with Christ Jesus. The devil was thrown from heaven and allowed to control this world for a short period of time. His time is about over. Our God in heaven is the one who is really in control. He is the one who has set the clock, and he is the one who controls what time it is. In the world we live in everybody seems to be on a time schedule. We all rush around like tomorrow will not come. We seem to always be in a hurry to rush somewhere. What we fail to do is pay attention to what time it is on God’s clock. We neglect to find out just what it is that makes up his clock and why his time is so important to us. His clock was set from the time Adam and Eve first sinned. His time has been running down for centuries upon centuries and getting closer and closer to running out. When it does, he will reset it with a new meaning. The evil of this world will be gone, and the love of our God will be sustained. A new world will be created without sin and those who truly love the Lord will all be a part of this great manifestation. Our God has also set deadlines to be met in his time just as we have worldly deadlines to meet in our time. He lets us know without doubt that he will return but not before certain prophesies and conditions are met. Throughout the existence of God’s church people have always said that the Lord will be returning soon. However, what has been missing throughout time are the fulfillment of these prophesies and conditions. But in today’s scenario all prophesies have been completed and our Lord Jesus stands on the threshold waiting for God to say,” the time is now.” We do not know the exact time nor the exact day, but we do know the season. The season is now. Are you ready? Are you aware of God’s time clock and what it means for us on earth? If not, seek out the bible and its truths. Seek the Lord in prayer and ask his for his help. He loves us and does not want to lose any of us to the devil. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

SEEING PAST THE ROADBLOCKS!

The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commandments of the Lord are clear giving insight to the loving.” Psalm 19: 7-8

There are a considerable number of roadblocks in life, some being small and some being big. Many of these roadblocks make us turn around and go another direction in life. We stop in our tracks and go a different way. God has a plan for each of us. That plan in our life has been in existence since we were born. Whether we fulfill what God has for us to do is completely up to us. Some of us hear and do what he asks from day one. Others of us see the bright and shiny things of the world and take time to explore and, in doing so, get off the path and go our own way. However, with the help of the hand of God, and the willingness to listen, they are able to come back and listen to his instruction, his wisdom and his direction for their life. But then there are those who go astray and never make it back. They get involved in the world and become a part of it. They live their lives to satisfy their own needs and to look good in the sight of those in the world. The roadblocks in this life here on earth are many. We all come up against them. It is, however, how we react to these obstacles that count. It is with great desperation, that during times of anxiety and troubles, some will go back to the bible and revisit the Lord’s word. There is great value in re-reading bible verses, meditating on the word and memorizing valuable verses that will help against troubles of any kind. As we do these things our faith and trust in God becomes stronger and stronger. Every time we go to the Lord in prayer, we depend a little more on his mighty promises and begin to live our lives with Him in charge. We cannot see through the roadblocks in life without help. Our sight is short, and we see only the problems. However, our God sees things through his perspective, and because he is God, he sees the problem and the solution. As we continue to trust in him, our faith will allow us to also see the answers to our problems, by trusting in him to be true to his word. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

MY CUP OVERFLOWS WITH BLESSINGS!

” My cup overflows with blessings.” Psalm 23:5

” And the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 13:52

Is your cup overflowing with God’s blessings? Our lives as Christians are blessed everyday with gifts from God. We, many times, will miss these gracious gifts because we are wrapped up in what our physical lives entail. Our focus does not allow us to experience the wonderful thoughts and actions that the Lord has given us. The ultimate blessing from our Lord is the new life and forgiveness that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. How many times do you go to the Lord and ask for forgiveness for things that you know are not right? How many times do you go to the Lord and thank him for the sacrifice He made for you? Each blessing that comes from Jesus, comes with favor, wisdom, abundance, ability, grace, joy, freedom and peace. Whatever abilities you have on this earth are abilities that God have given you. They have not been developed by you or obtained by going to the nearest store to buy them. No, they are talents that create platforms for each of us to present Jesus to others. We each have our own purpose because our Lord has created us with that purpose. Whether we use the gifts that our God have given us is up to us. Some take full advantage and allow Jesus to perform and live in their lives while others do nothing. They become enthralled with their worldly lives and think of nothing else. We must stay focused on Jesus! We must never allow this world and it’s evil to overcome us. We must understand that our God in heaven is the creator, the owner and the final chapter of life. He offers us the finest of gifts and that gift is eternal life with Him. Be careful and choose wisely! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE SCHEMES OF THE DEVIL ARE MANY!

“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, and against the evil spirits in heavenly places. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet and take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6: 10-17

The Belt of Truth, Peace that comes from the Good News, the Shield of Faith, Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit. These are all parts of the armor of God. We are told in Ephesians 6:10-17 that we need to have all of these parts in place, in order to be prepared in standing up against the devil and his evil schemes. The evil one is ferocious. He is demanding and never lets up. He keeps pounding at us and throwing as many rocks as he can find. When what he throws hits us, it hurts and sometimes it hurts a lot. Without being prepared we are doomed for failure. However, our Lord is prepared, and He wants us to be prepared as well. He gives us all the protection we need in order to not only fight the evil but to be victorious over the evil. With his full body armor upon us we are capable of not only shunning the devil, but we are able to cast him away from us. He looks for our weaknesses and attacks us at our weakest points. If we leave anything open for him to attack, he will do just that. The armor of God covers us completely and leaves nothing open for attack. We must, however, remember to put in on every day. The battles that are put before us come at us from all directions and sometimes even surprise us. But if we stay prepared, we know without a doubt, that we not only have won the battle but also the war. We should thank our Lord God in heaven each day for his total and complete protection package. WE MUST EXPERIENCE HIM TO BELIEVE IN HIM!

” He makes me as sure footed as a deer, enabling me to stand on the mountain heights.” Psalm 18:33

” You made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.” Psalm 18:36

It is important that we experience the Lord before we can believe in him. We must have contact with him and observe his ways. We must talk with him understanding our conversations. To experience Jesus should be a life changing experience. It should be an intimate and personal encounter with our Lord and Savior. It is knowledge that goes way beyond just information or head knowledge. It involves the heart. To experience Christ Jesus, we must know him through the power of his resurrection. We must consistently interact with him and be transformed into his ways. When this happens our heart changes. In the book of Acts, Paul’s lifestyle, before and after his change of heart, shows us a stark difference. His change was dramatic, going from persecuting and putting to death, those who confessed Jesus, to leading them to Christ. Our change of heart should also show changes in our lives. Before we meet Christ, we live lives that reflect the ways of the world. After meeting Christ our lives change with thoughts and actions that reflect the love and peace our Lord gives us. We no longer desire to do the things that society demands of us. Our spirits condemn us when we do things that are in direct conflict with what Jesus would do. We begin to show others our desire for our Lord as we begin to turn away from our sins. Romans 10: 9-10 says: ” if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” After we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, we must continue to communicate with him in prayer, read the bible and listen to our hearts as the Holy Spirit directs our ways. If we don’t, the world will try to steal away our godly actions and put us back on the wrong path. As we continue to live our changes in Jesus, we begin to strengthen our faith in ways that help us to become stronger and stronger in our Lord. Our thoughts and actions must grow daily with the experiences we have with our Lord in prayer and meditation in his word! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

OUR GENERATOR WHEN WE LOSE POWER DURING A STORM!

” People do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8:3

” To the faithful you show yourself faithful. To those with integrity you show integrity.” Psalm 18:25

As followers of Jesus, you and I have a back-up power source. Our Lord Jesus has provided us opportunities for conversations with him during our storms in life. He provides us with his Holy Word to read in times of conflict. He provides us with His Holy Spirit who resides within us and directs us when we are down. It is during great storms in our lives when we sometimes lose power. It is during these times that we feel lost and abandoned. We can’t figure out what to do and we allow confusion to set in. We sit back and wait for the power to come back so that we can once again feel the power of Jesus in our lives. What we need to understand, is that our Lord never leaves us. When the devil tries to take our power source from us all we have to do is flip on the generator from our God in heaven. We should immediately bow down in prayer and ask for his power to be restored. We should immediately go to the Word of God and seek his promises for our life. We should immediately refocus and turn our attention to our faith in Jesus and what he has gone through for us. When we do these things, God puts our problems in perspective. Our power through Jesus comes back on and we are once again able to overcome bad thoughts, bad actions and bad words. We once again are able to walk through the fire of criticism and persecution. We are able to drench our problems with the faith and trust we have in Jesus. If we are faithful to our Lord in all things, then our Lord will be faithful to us in all things. We must remember that the power of Jesus never goes away. The only thing that falters in our times of trouble are our own thoughts, focus and faith. We must always stay strong in the Lord and keep his power flowing into our lives. IT MATTERS NOT WHERE WE ARE, WE ARE TO ALWAYS BE READY FOR ACTION!

Scripture: Luke 7:1-10

There are those in this world who believe that there is no way they can be saved. They are spoon fed lies of the devil telling them that they are no good and Jesus will never help them. They believe that they have gone too far and can never satisfy the Lord God in heaven. These people are all around us every day. They are in our workplace, our neighborhoods, at the grocery store and may even live next door to us. Without hearing the Word of God there is no way these people can be saved. Without testimonies that you and I can provide they may have no chance. We are many times put in the right place at the right time for the purpose of being a witness on behalf of Jesus! It is at these times that you and I must listen closely to the Lord and act accordingly. We must always be alert to our Lord and his desires. Sometimes we get wrapped up in our own little world and let these important messages from the Lord pass right by us. We must be ready and willing to go to the front lines and fight for Jesus. It doesn’t matter who we are or where we might be. What matters is that we are in a position to act on the word of God at any time. The lost in this world is just that, they are lost. They cannot find their way without help. Jesus died for us all. There are some who will deny Jesus to the very end but there are those who are seeking him and God is using us to help them find their way. In Romans 7:1-10 we see the Jewish elders being asked by the Roman Officer to go to Jesus and ask for help in healing his slave. They listened and they took action, just as you and I should. It may not seem comfortable at the time but if God is asking, we should respond with joy and celebrate our opportunity. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

A HOUSE WELL BUILT!

Read Luke 6:46-49

If you have ever built anything you want to make sure that it is built well. When building a house, whether built by you or by a contractor, it is important that it be built to high standards. It must withstand the wind and rain, the snow of winter, storms throughout the summer and the heat of the sun. It must be built so that it holds together and does not fall at the times that are important for it to be strong and safe. It is the same with our relationship with Jesus. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are saved. We take our eggs out of all of the other baskets, that we once trusted, and put them into one, that of Jesus. As our relationship grows, we are to increase our trust and faith in his promises and his ways. It is not enough that we just say that we have a relationship with Christ Jesus, we are to demonstrate our faith on a daily basis. Just as we dig a solid foundation for a house, we are to also dig a solid foundation for our relationship with Jesus. It should be built upon solid rock and not on loose and muddy soil. That way, when the storms of life pass through, our relationship does not crumble. It instead, stays strong and withstands all of the forces of evil that come our way. We should keep a check on our foundation with Jesus and continue, each day, to study his word, pray to him, listen to him and do what he tells us to do. It is not enough to just hear his word, but we must hear and be doers at the same time. The more we talk with him and become doers of his word, the stronger our trust and faith become. STAND UP, OPENLY RECOGNIZE JESUS, AND MAKE THE DEVIL SORRY HE EVEN KNOWS YOU!

SCRIPTURE: Read Psalm 37

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Closet Christians”? These are those who acknowledge Christ Jesus in the confines of their own homes, in church where there are those with like worship values or behind closed doors. When they go out into the world, they turn back in to the pumpkin they once were. They fit into the world nicely without a single word about Jesus or even a glancing action or word that would suggest, to the outside world, they know Jesus or anything about Him. Jesus is special in so many ways. You hear others often talk about God in their lives, because a “God” can mean so many things, but not often do you hear them talk about Jesus. The name of Jesus is powerful, so powerful that even the demons run when they hear his name. As born-again Christians we have that powerful name at our fingertips. We have that name right at the end of our tongues. So, why is it so hard to let others know about our relationship with Jesus Christ? Many believe that by using his name they will be persecuted and that something bad will happen to them. Others believe that they will be made fun of. They believe his name is a sign of weakness and that others will look at them as weak and not strong. It truly is just the opposite. The devil and all of his lies have penetrated the lives of many in this world. They have kept many from developing that personal relationship with Jesus and living life with favor, strength, trust and a strong faith. It is time that we stand up and shout to the world just what Jesus is all about. It is time to show the strength and faith that is living within us. It is time to throw away the fear and doubts that plague our every move and every word. It is time to make the demons in our lives, and the devil himself, be sorry they are dealing with us. There is no power greater than the power of the blood of Jesus. The devil and his army may be allowed to win small battles along the way, but the war itself is over. Our God in heaven has already won. He has sealed the fate of the evil one. The devil knows exactly where he is going, and he is doing nothing less than trying to take as many of us with him into his eternal torture. Jesus displayed his love for those who were selfish, hateful, bullish, intimidating, and mean in spirit. You and I are also to show his love to others in just that same way. We are not to condemn or judge but instead present his holy Word in a gracious and loving manner. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THERE IS A PURPOSE BEHIND EVERY STORM! JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD!

” The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.” Psalm 34:19

When we have problems arise in our lives one of the first things that many think is “why me Lord?” We begin to focus on the problem at hand and begin to feel sorry for ourselves. We allow fear, doubt, worry, sadness, anxiety and many other terrible things to take over our thoughts and actions. God has never promised us that we would never have storms in our lives. In all actuality, storms appear when we are doing good things for God. One might ask, “why God are you allowing such things to happen to me when I am working in your will?” The answer is simple. When you and I work on behalf of our God we are being obedient and just in what we do. We are listening to the Holy Spirit and doing the work of the Lord. The devil is not pleased with these circumstances and will attack us, sometimes with great fury. We will go through experiences that many times include sickness, sadness, periods of worry, doubts, fears and even death. It is important that we begin to recognize, not the storm but instead the reason behind the storm. There is a purpose behind every problem that we confront. Our Lord will use each problem for his glory and allow us to be a part of that great event. We must shift our focus from the bad to the good, from the anxieties to the promises of our God in heaven, and from the evil results we see at the first light, to the ending result of our Lord. We must continue to move forward and not look back. There will be many storms in our lives, some small and some large, but our Lord God is our refuge, our healer and our safety net. We must be prepared by knowing his Holy Word and understanding his power. We must continue to trust him even in those times of hardships. When we do, we can rest assured that he will and does come to our rescue! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

A MOVER AND SHAKER FOR JESUS!

” I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.” Psalm 16:8

” Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.” Psalm 23:4

” Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.” Psalm 30:5

The journey you and I are on seems like it will never end. Sometimes it seems that our bad times last much longer than our good times. We get anxious and want bad things to go away and good things to happen right now! This, however, is not God’s plan. God’s road map for our lives has already been put into place. As a follower of Jesus, we are given directions as how to proceed and where to go. We are told what to do and how to do it. Every move we make and every decision we make should depend upon instructions from the Lord. God has a plan. You and I are a part of his plan, but to be used successfully, we must not only hear what he tells us, but we must do what he tells us. When we listen to the instructions of the Holy Spirit, the bad things do turn to good things. Our lives become a tool for the Lord and when we do what we are to do we become happier and more successful. Jesus is always with us. He never leaves our side. He walked this earth 2000 years ago and he is beside us today as we walk this earth. Our journey in this world may seem long, but to our God in heaven, it is just a moment in time. He will be coming back soon to take those who are ready, home to be with him. His holy word tells us that he will return in the twinkling of an eye. To us our journey may be long but to God the journey we are on is only a short season. We have work to do, and we must listen and be willing to be a mover and shaker for the Lord. We must be willing to put ourselves out there for Jesus. There should be no holding back because what is on the line for us is eternal life! The season that we consider to be so long is about to come to an end. We need to pray and praise our God at every opportunity. He must be first in our lives and everything else second. He loves us and is our helper, our savior, our forgiver, our healer and our refuge in times of need! Be a Jesus person and not a worldly person! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FEAR ONLY YOUR GOD IN HEAVEN!

” Fearing people is a dangerous trap but trusting the Lord means safety.” Proverbs 29:25

” The church then had peace throughout Judea, and Samaria, and it became stronger as the believers lived in the fear of the Lord.” Acts 9:31

Living in fear of the Lord is often misinterpreted. Fearing God does not mean being afraid of him. We never need to be afraid of our God who is merciful and gracious. He is pure love. We can all rest assured that he would never hurt those who love him and follow him. There is another word that is translated as “fear” in the bible and that word is “awe”. Fearing our Lord is directing us to have an overwhelming sense of reverence for God and his power. We are to go to God in humility, reverence and submission. We are to trust God and not ourselves. We are to commit to him and become loyal to him by being obedient to his word. We are to be constantly mindful of Him. We should be attentive to his word, his thoughts and his mighty ways. We should be prayerful and full of praise for his mighty presence in our lives. Fearing our Lord can bring us peace in times of trouble because our trust in him is solid and non-wavering. We know without a doubt that he is in total control of all things. However, when we become fearful of those around us, we become slaves to what they think, what they speak and how they live. We become afraid and bow down to their ways because we put our lives in their hands and believe that they control our ways just as they control the ways of those around us. We fall into the trap set before us by the devil himself. It is then that we need to begin to praise our God in heaven. We need to go to him in the precious name of Jesus and pray. We need to pray for strength, wisdom and understanding. We need to, once again, put him first in our lives. We are to fear only our God in heaven. We are not to fear the world or those who try to control it! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

WHEN THINGS SEEM IMPOSSIBLE THE POSSIBLE IS ALWAYS BY OUR SIDE!

” The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” Luke 4: 18-19

” Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is a faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.” Deuteronomy 7:9

Today’s world has created and continues to create situations that seem to be impossible to overcome. For those who do not know Christ, the earth in which they live is the end all. Everything in this world is the gospel to them. They believe it, they talk it, and they live it. Their actions and the way they think help to create what seem to be impossibilities for all people around them. However, there is hope! For every impossible situation stands the possible answer. For every disaster that takes place there is a reaction of hope, love and faith. For every negative that the devil creates in this world there is a positive created by our Lord God in heaven. The Lord is the creator of the world, and he is the ending of the story. He is the beginning and the end. Our Lord God created a covenant with his people by sending his son Jesus to this earth. That agreement was a “once and for all agreement”, which allows those who trust, believe and are faithful, to be saved by the blood that Jesus shed on that cross. In Genesis, God made a blood covenant with Abraham, and with Jesus, he has made a blood covenant with all believers. In Luke 4:18-19 we see the instructions that Jesus received. We see the goodness, the love and the favor that comes with our faith in his actions. There is nothing impossible in this world. The are thousands upon thousands of possibilities in our world today. We must, however, look to Jesus and none other. We must strengthen our faith daily as it continues to be under attack at all times. We must never focus on this world, but instead, focus on the wonderful blood of Jesus which was given to us so graciously by our God in heaven. Our God never fails. He never steps back from a promise. His Holy Word has stood the test of thousands of years, and it will NOT be overcome in today’s world, but instead will stand strong and continue to give you and me the ability for victory! Remember, Jesus is always fighting for us, and we have been blessed with the power of the mighty Holy Spirit who lives within us! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

OUR NEEDS ARE GREATER THAN OUR DESIRES!

” Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.” Psalm 2:12

Needs in our life verse desires in our life. So many of us have a way of getting these two mixed up. Our society has allowed us to create in our mind the ideas that our desires are our needs. There is, however, a distinct difference in the bible. According to the bible, needs are things that are essential for life and our well-being. These are things that are in line with the will of our God in heaven. Our basic needs consist of food, clothing shelter, water, healthcare, companionship, and love. God promises us that he will meet each and every one of these needs on behalf of those who have faith. Desires, on the other hand, are things in our lives that we want for ourselves or others. Desires are often base upon enjoyment, ease of life, craving, aspirations and yearnings. They display selfishness and very narrow thinking. Even though God may fulfill some of our desires he does not promise or grant all of our wishes. Many today believe that if the Lord does not grant our wants, he is unfaithful. That is not the case. It is easy to deceive ourselves into believing that our own desires are our needs in life. We must step back, slow down, pray for wisdom and understanding. We must find out what God’s plan is for our journey. If we cannot complete God’s plan in our life without something, then it is a need. Our needs are hinged upon the Lord’s plan for us and how he needs us to complete our task. It is important that we do not mistake our wants for our necessities in life. It is vital that we put God first in our lives. When we do, our actions and our intentions will change. Our desires will then become different because we are different. It is when we allow ourselves to get in the way of the Lord and his plan that our desires become a stumbling block. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and listen carefully to the direction the Holy Spirit is showing us, he will not fail in delivering our necessities. If, however, we allow self to get in the way then selfishness and narrow vision takes over and we are hindered from listening to and following our Lord in the way he wants us to go. Our needs are much greater than our desires. Pray, praise and follow! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

YOU ARE A SHIELD AROUND ME!

” But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.” Psalm 3:3-6

Shields are used for protection for something that is of value. Shields were once used in war in order to protect the warriors from being sliced apart by an oncoming sword. Shields are used to protect those who need protection from others who may be trying to harm them. Psalm 3: 3-6 shows us that we have a shield around us. We are considered to be of great value to our God in Heaven. Because of this we have the shield of faith that surrounds us and protects us. The Lord provides us with a barrier that guards us against spiritual attacks and schemes of the devil. In Ephesians 6: 16 Paul writes, “in addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” Our shield of faith will guard us during our trials in the same way a battle shield would during a battle. When doubts arise and our beliefs are questioned, our faith in Christ will protect us. It allows us to stand firm and to know what we believe. The shield of faith also protects us when we are attacked by anxiety and fear. Our Lord provides us protection on all sides. He leaves nothing open or exposed to the enemy. Our responsibility is to believe. We are to believe in all of God’ promises and how he will use them in our lives. Our faith in his word is vital to our existence, because without it, the devil will beat us down. With every punch we are to stand firm with God’s scriptures at hand in order to present to the devil his loss and defeat in this large spiritual battle that is going on around us. Our Lord Jesus is our shield around us! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

WORSHIP AND SERVE HIM ONLY!

“The scriptures say, ‘you must worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ ” Luke 4:8

It is very easy to take for granted our God in heaven. We read about Him in the bible, we hear about Him in church, and we study and learn about Him in bible studies. However, it is important that we do more that learn, read and hear about the Lord. We are to put our faith and our love for Him into action. We are to use his mercy and grace to show others who he is. We are to display his mighty powers in our own lives so that the lives of others have the opportunity to be changed. Our Lord deserves the totality of us, and not just a part of us. We must put Him first and not second in our lives. We must show and give him the respect, devotion, the love, the honor and the obedience he so richly deserves. It is important that we acknowledge and celebrate his power and his perfection with the greatest of gratitude. As we begin to better understand God’s holiness, we should worship Him in awe because his presence, his strength and his grace and mercy in our lives, are real. He never fails. He never leaves us without protection. He always hears us, helps us, and gives us understanding and wisdom. True worship of our God is when we love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, and put him first in the life we live in this world! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

ACTIONS FROM THE LIVING WORD OF GOD!

” But the Lord is in his Temple; the Lord still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked.” Psalm 11:4&5

The living word of God is just that, living. His word is what created the world and all of its contents. It is his word that sent Christ Jesus into this world so that you and I could live for eternity with Him. His word is the source of our faith, for scripture tells us that, “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). His word is our source of salvation, our source of truth, and our source of freedom. His word is our source of Spiritual Food, for scripture tells us that, ” Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4). His word is our source of Spiritual Growth as we accept his word as not human words. His word is our source of victory over temptation. Without his word we are all sinners and are doomed to hell. However, with his word we are saved by his grace and mercy. His word is the source of happiness and blessedness. His word tells us that, “Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.” (Proverbs 8:34). His word is our source of guidance. It is by his word that we are driven by our faith and his truths. It is through his word that he becomes our source of comfort and encouragement. It is by his promises and his truths that our minds and spirits become alive with strong faith and belief. His mighty word is our source of healing. His scripture tells us, “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them written within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body. (Proverbs 4:20-22) His word is the source of our assurances, our joy, our preparation for good works and so much more. God’s living and breathing word is just that, living and breathing. His truths are real, his healing is real, his promises never fail, and we are blessed to be a part of what he gives us. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE GREAT SEPARATION!

” Come out from among them and be separate says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. ” 2 Corinthians 6:17

” I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:18

” He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never ending fire.” Luke 3:17

It is very easy for us to set back and say to ourselves that our Lord will return someday but probably not today. It is easy to go about our daily routines without the fear of the Lord surrounding us. We have heard for years upon years that our Lord is going to return, and with each year flying by, it begins to seem as though His return will be after our lifetime. Our Lord has given us fair warning throughout his Mighty Word that we are to separate ourselves from the ways of the world. We are to be different. We are to repent of our sins and move forward in his light and not our own light. Sometimes we put too much focus on His return. We forget that no matter when he comes, we are going to meet Him upon our transfer from this life to life everlasting. It is while we are on this earth that the decisions we make and the way we live will help to determine our fate. You see, he is getting ready to separate the chaff from the wheat. We are going to be a part of that process and I’m sure we want to be on the correct side of that separation. He tells us very plainly that we are to change our lives. We were all born into sin but after developing our personal relationship with Jesus we are to change. We are to become like our Father in heaven and not live our lives as worldly participants. As we continue to grow in Christ, we become closer to Him. Our relationship becomes one like father to son or father to daughter. We begin to realize that He came to this earth to show us and lead us in the way to life everlasting. There is no doubt that He is Lord. There is no doubt that He loves us and wants us to make the right decisions in our lives. He has given each of us a free will because wants each of us to come to Him with sincerity and not deception. He wants us to come into His ways with the desire to be with Him and not just because someone tells us to. It is up to you and me to make our own decisions. It is up to us to repent of our own sins and separate from the world. It is not easy but when you are having difficulties just turn your eyes to Jesus! He is always right there beside us! LIVE EACH DAY IN JESUS WITH THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

” Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act.” Psalm 37:7

As humans we sometimes become very anxious. We have a hard time waiting for things to happen. We have a tendency to want to do things our way and do it now. When this happens, we often find ourselves in situations that are hard to get out of. If we do as our Lord directs us, we will find that our situations turn out to benefit us and not hinder us. When we know what the bible tells us, and when we believe that it is true, honorable and just, we will benefit from its wisdom. Our bibles give us all of the information we need to survive in the world. It not only gives us information to survive but to also prosper in this life and the next. God’s Word gives us hope, peace of mind and the ability to overcome the most difficult situations we may face. It gives us strength, tells us what to do and what not to do, and it gives us the road map to a solid relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are shown how to live, how to speak and how to relate to those around us. However, it is up to you and me to put these instructions into action. It is up to us to not only hear the Word but to do what the Word tells us. It is important to know His ways, but they do us no good if we do not live them. In our relationships with Christ Jesus, we must develop a solid trust and faith in what he tells us. As we begin to trust in his ways, we should also begin to put our trust into practice. We must begin to listen to that little voice called the Holy Spirit and do as he leads us. We must dig down deep and be alert to his voice and his ways. By knowing Jesus, we are better able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and know without a doubt that his instructions are true. I can say without doubt that the inner voice of the Holy Spirit will always agree with the ways of Christ. They will never disagree! If we forget, it is always wise to fact check by going back into the Holy Word of God and find out what he says about our situation. We should at all times be praying before we make big decisions in our lives. Remember, if our God is for us then who can be against us? We must always stay close to Jesus and listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

PSALM 91

Most everyone who reads my blogs are familiar with Psalm 91. It is considered to be a Psalm of protection and of thanksgiving. Many read Psalm 91 in their times of trouble because it promises divine protection. It tells us that those who live under the protection of the Most High will dwell in the shadow of the Almighty and be covered by God’s feathers. What a wonderful and peaceful promise. It gives us the calmness of our God in heaven and takes away the fear and anxiety our troubles can give us. It does not matter the size of our problems or the amount of fear that attacks us, our Almighty God promises his presence and his strength in our lives. To walk in his shadow allows us to understand that he is right beside us. When covered by his feathers we are protected from the elements the world throws at us.

Psalm 91 also provides a message of confidence in God, even when times are not good. It tells us that we should let our faith in God be the lens through which we view the world, rather than letting the world tell us how we are to determine our ways and thoughts. When we begin to look at things through God’s eyes we see things in a completely different light. We see things with more clarity and understanding. We begin to gain confidence that our Lord God will never leave us nor forsake us, but instead, he will always understand our desires, fears, troubles and doubts in life. We understand that he will lift us high above the things of this world and help us to realize that his protection is not only dependable but is fearless and unbeatable. I highly recommend that everyone take time to read Psalm 91 if you haven’t already. I would also encourage you to read the Psalm daily so that you may be refreshed with His Spirit and His very existence, which in return will help to guide you through your busy day. The promises of Psalm 91 are the magnificent work by our God who has rolled all of these promises up in a nice bundle for each of us to be take advantage of. Let us not miss our opportunity! STAY PREPARED-LIVE THROUGH JESUS!

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:20

Jesus Christ, a spiritual being, entered this world as a human being in order to lead a life reflective of all humans upon this earth. The difference is that he was made perfect in the eyes of his Father in Heaven. He was and still is the one and only Son of God. He walked in the footsteps that you and I walk in and overcame every obstacle thrown his way. He defeated sin for all time with is death upon that cross. We are also to live solid and reflective lives by living through Him. You see, you and I are not made perfect in God. We are humans who make mistakes in life, we stumble on things set before us and we are unable to overcome the evil of the world. However, our Lord tells us that we can be overcomers! We can survive in this world and be strong. With a strong faith in the ways of our Jesus we are overcomers. We are able to walk one step at a time and be prepared for the things set before us. We are to live our lives in the realm of God’s redemptive love and power. We are to choose to live our lives for Him instead of ourselves. We are to die to sin and not consider sinning against our God a viable option in our lives. We are to imitate the way Christ lived and reflect his thoughts, actions and words. We are to let go of our own plans and surrender our lives to Jesus for his control and to live our life by his plan. We are to love others and live with a servant’s attitude. Galatians 2:20 tells us: “I have been crucified with Christ; therefore, I no longer live, but Jesus Christ now lives inside of me.” We change when Jesus comes into our lives. Our attitudes, our thoughts and our words become tame and begin to build others up and not tear them down. We should reflect back on how Jesus lived his life on this earth and do our best imitation of his ways, thoughts and deeds. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BELIEVE AND BE BLESSED!

” For the Mighty One is holy and he has done great things for me.” Luke 1:49

” He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him.” Luke 1:50

” The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9

Our Lord is very explicit in his teachings, his promises and his mighty strength and love. He is very complete in his ways and his words. He explains in the scriptures above that he is holy, shows mercy to all, and has and will continue, from one generation to another, to show that he is gracious, and he is our shelter in times of trouble. He is all of these things and more if we just believe. If we just obtain and hold onto a confident conviction to believe in who he is and what he does for us he will always be there for us. If we believe without doubt, he will stand by our side and lift us up in safety. If we just believe with a conviction in his love, strength and wisdom, we will never be alone. If we just believe with all of our heart and trust him to fulfill all of the promises he has given us, he will deliver, and we will be saved. To totally experience our Lord on this earth and in our lives today, we must commit our lives to Jesus! We must enter into a personal relationship with him where he is our “go to” when we face difficulties. He is the first we think of when we are in turmoil or indecision. He must be our life. This world must become secondary in the way we think, the way we act and the way we speak. We must recognize and totally believe that he is our source of true life. Our faith must be strong, stay strong and never waver. He is our Lord, our Savior and our loving helper in times of trouble. We must believe and allow his blessings to flow over us with love, grace and mercy. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

I WILL!

” When they call on me, I WILL answer; I WILL be with them in trouble. I WILL rescue and honor them. I WILL reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:15-16

Our God in heaven is not a maybe God. He is never hesitant or doubtful in anything he does or says. He never says, “I think I can” or “maybe I will”, but instead he is truthful and honest in everything. You and I must also be “I Will” kind of followers. We must not doubt what our Lord tells us. We must never fear things around us, but instead believe without doubt that our God is faithful in his “I Will” promises. We must never think that our Lord has forgotten us. Our Lord God in never late. He is always right on time. Everything he provides is orderly and with a plan. He is justified in all he does and never without reason. He has a purpose, and you and I must succumb to his purpose, his ways, thoughts and actions. If we fail to believe then we will fall to the ways of this world and fear every evil that confronts us. We will run away from those around us and never be able to spread God’s Word as he desires for us to do. There is only one way, and that way is Jesus! Belief in Him comes with a side order of faith, trust, understanding and knowledge. We are never again fearful because we know that He is faithful. We are never again lost, in our own little world, because we know that the Holy Spirit is leading us. Our God is an “I Will” God! What he promises he fulfills. His “I Will” spirit will overcome us and allow us to live lives of strength, power and trust! We must believe that we receive because God is our source. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LET THE HOLY SPIRIT REIGN!

” Peter replied, ‘Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, and to your children, and even the Gentiles – all who have been called by the Lord our God.’ ” Acts 2:38-39

When Jesus was crucified, there was turmoil among those who were his followers. However, when Peter spoke to the crowd, he did so with confidence and with the knowledge of what was to come. He had sold out to Jesus. He revealed to those listening that they were to repent of their sins and go to God to be forgiven. Once they were dedicated to God, they would then receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Just what did this Holy Spirit do for them and what will it do for us today?

1.) The Holy Spirit’s work is to make Jesus real to his people and for them to glorify him. The Holy Spirit will give spiritual gifts to believers, such as prophecy, healing, discernment, teaching, encouragement, giving, leadership, and mercy, all of which are naturally empowered talents and abilities. There are many today who do not believe in these gifts, however, they are real. Our God does not lie and does not fail. His word and promises are given to us to receive and be faithful in what we say and hear;

2.) The Holy Spirit offers to us counsel, advice, and guidance. By following the Holy Spirit, we will become more like Jesus;

3.) The Holy Spirit gives us power to do more, achieve more and be purer in Jesus. This power is reflected in many ways such as boldness to preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be strong when talking about him to others;

4.) The Holy Spirit can open our eyes to things that we might not otherwise notice. He will also convict us of our sins, assure us of salvation, and transform us into the person our God in heaven wants us to be.

The Holy Spirit is a gift from God who will help us to live upon this earth with much more strength, understanding and wisdom. He is our source of wealth, peace of mind and love. It is so important that we do not neglect the power and the purpose of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is to us as Jesus was to those who walked with Him on this earth. He is with us, walks beside us and lives in us. We must allow him to reign in our lives. We must not try to override God and simply not listen and not obey the direction of the Holy Spirit. He is real, he is loving, he is caring, and he is God! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THERE ARE NO LIMITS, JUST THE CORRECT TIMING!

” For my words will certainly be fulfilled at the proper time.” Luke 1:20

There are no limits with Christ Jesus. He has been given full rein throughout the endless creation of our God in heaven. He has come to this earth in a human body and walked the walk for you and me. He died a horrible death on the cross so that you and I would not have to. He went to hell and back for you and me. He returned and went into heaven to set at the right hand of God the Father so that he could represent you and me in the presence of our God. There are no limits when we believe and receive the promises that God has given us. With faith we are able to overcome the doubts that are hurled at us from every direction. With faith we are able to overcome sickness and disease by using the name of Jesus. By faith we are able overcome sadness because we trust in our Lord and know that his ways are honest, truthful and with a purpose. It is with faith that we are able to overcome the lies, deceit and the evil displayed before us. There are no limits in what we are able to do with the Lord Jesus by our side. There are no limits when we listen and obey the Holy Spirit who lives within us. There are no limits put upon our prayers that go up to God on our behalf. In general, there are no limits when our Lord is allowed to work in our lives. The only limits that you and I experience are the ones we put on ourselves. We must be able to continue to focus and live in Jesus through thick and thin, through troubles and disasters. We must be able to focus on what is real and not what we are experiencing in the world. There are no limits in our God. There is only his time schedule. He hears all of our prayers and meets all of our needs, but he does so on his time schedule and not ours. You see, answers to our prayers may affect the lives of many around us or maybe even of those somewhere far away of whom we may not know. We must trust our Lord and be able to stand the test of His time and be patient, knowing that even in a time of silence He is active, he is working for us without limits! IT IS TIME TO JOIN GOD’S ADMINISTRATION!

“Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.” Psalm 145:3

It is time for all of us to make the largest decision of our lives. It is time for us to decide who we are associated with and just who we are working for. As Christians we have chosen sides. We have decided that our God in heaven is real, mighty, truthful, and always faithful. We have chosen to be a part of the greatest leader of all time. He is our God in heaven. He is Jesus Christ in the flesh, and he is the Holy Spirit of God our Father. He is the triune God. He is the creator of the world, and he has a plan. As followers of Christ Jesus, we are being asked to fulfill a duty. We are asked to be a part of the greatest administration in the history of the world. We are, however, asked to be faithful to his ways and do what we are asked to do. We are to be representative of his ways and his thoughts and we must show these characteristics in the ways we live, the words we speak and the thoughts we think. We must listen carefully to what he instructs us to do and then be a doer of his word. We must read and meditate on his Holy Word and pray to him constantly. We must stay by his side and talk with him in times of crises and in times of joy. Even though we live in a world that is ruled by evil we are to live in the body of our God in heaven. We are a part of his team, and we must no longer just set on the sidelines and utter the words of being a follower, but we must now begin to be act upon what he tells us to do. We must not be afraid of what others think or what they say about us as we fulfill our duties. His Holy Word is for all time. It was not written for just those who lived thousands of years ago but it was written for you and me as well. If we do not rise up and live in the ways he instructs then we are aiding the enemy and not his cause. We are showing nothing and doing nothing that will influence those around us and others of this world who are watching and waiting. It is up for us to decide what we are going to do. Are we sitting and waiting for others to do our bidding? Or are we going to go out an preach and teach his Holy Word? If we do not do as the Father in Heaven asks of us, He will find others who will fulfill his request. Let us all stand up and be counted as one who is a faithful and a trustworthy servant. Let us be an active part of the administration of his ways, thoughts and words! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

RECEIVE AND ACCEPT THE POWER!

” Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15

” But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

You and I have the greatest opportunity in all of the world. We have a grand relationship with the creator of the earth and all of its glory. Because of our relationship with the creator, we have been called to perform certain actions and to fulfill our duties as his messengers in the world. We have the responsibility to enter into the world as true followers and present his good news, the salvation of those who accept him as Lord and Savior, to all of the world. We are to walk through fire, wind and rain. We are to walk into the territory of the devil himself and preach the Holy Word of our God in heaven. We are not to fear what others think or fear what they might do to us. We are to focus on our God and what his rewards are to those who help Him to fulfill his message and complete his plan for this great creation called earth. He understands that we cannot and are not capable of doing such things in our own earthly ways. We are not strong enough. We are not brave enough and we are not smart enough. He, however, has provided to us the power of the Holy Spirit to help us in all of our ways. We are to listen and do. We are to not look at those around us, but instead stay focused and talk about Jesus and his salvation message to others. We are to believe and receive the instructions given to us by the Holy Spirit. We must listen closely and not miss a word he says. When we listen to the Holy Spirit and use the powerful name of Jesus, fear, doubt, worry, sadness and all things of the evil world will flee from our presence. They will scatter when we use the power God gives us and will faint away without being seen again. We have a duty, a responsibility and a journey to complete. Our mission is to spread the word and live a life that shows his mighty power to those around us. With the creation of social media, we are each able to reach the ends of the earth with the powerful message that our God displayed in Jesus Christ himself. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FROM SINNER TO WINNER!

“For surely, O Lord you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” Psalm 6:12

“But you dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.” Jude 20

As we travel through our journeys here on earth we go through ups and downs. We go through times that we wonder if we will ever be able to gather our senses and claim victory. We also go through times where we are on the top of the world. Everything looks good and we see nothing but success on the horizon. We look at ourselves with victory in our eyes and an attitude that nothing can knock us from our pedestal. In either case we are lost. We are defeated and we have no future. We were all born sinners and until we come to the feet of Jesus and ask him to live within us, we continue to act as sinners. However, when Jesus comes into our lives, we change. Our attitude toward life is different. We look at the world around us and see it for what it really is. We begin to look through lenses that are clearer and that give us a better understanding. Jude 20 is very clear when we are told to “build ourselves up in our most holy faith.” We are to do just that. We are to continue to surround ourselves with the things of our God in heaven. We are to learn and recite bible verses. We are to read and meditate in his mighty word. We are to pray in the Holy Spirit and become stronger in our thoughts and beliefs. We are to keep our focus on our Lord and constantly give him praise and glory for all of the things he does for us each day. As we stay surrounded in the loving arms of Jesus, we become winners and not sinners. Yes, we all sin, but with Jesus we become winners. We all sin and need forgiveness, and with our Lord we are given that precious promise. We must recognize our wrong, repent and ask Him for forgiveness. He never fails us! He wipes our sins away and never revisits them. We should do the same. As winners we should move forward with the strength of our Lord and with his attitude always dominating our life. From sinners to winners, we have found the way and should never stray. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

SUFFERING FOR JESUS!

“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, since we are going through the same struggles you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.” Philippians 1: 29-30

As true believers in Christ Jesus we are totally united in Him with our thoughts, our actions and the ways we perform our lives before others. As a result of going all in for Jesus we will experience things in this world that seem unfair and sometimes immoral. We are to plow through the problems we encounter and survive all of the rhetoric around us. We will be persecuted, experience rejection and loneliness that comes as a result of following in his ways. We may be glared at, lied about and even hurt physically for our belief in Him. However, we can rest assured, that by taking the way of Christ in these trials, is honorable and profitable and will lead us to victory in Jesus. As we stand in the midst of lies and damnation from the world around us, we are to stand firm and not waver. We are to pray and listen. We are to follow, with precision the Holy Spirit of God. We are to enter into the victory that Jesus bore for us on that cross. We are to look at the world from a whole new perspective. We are to see things from God’s eyes and not our own. We are to approach life in a whole different and faithful way. We are to be all in for Christ. We are not allowed to set on the fence, sometimes believing in his ways and sometimes not. It is all or nothing with Jesus. He gave his all on that cross for you and me and we are to do the same for Him! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
