THE LORD’S DEFENSE

DO NOT SAY, ‘ I’LL PAY YOU BACK FOR THIS WRONG!’ WAIT FOR THE LORD AND HE WILL DELIVER YOU.” PROVERBS 20:22

We pray and ask our Lord for a lot of things. When we do we have to be patient and willing to believe and trust him for his answers to our prayers. When we are confronted with evil and we become angry, it is very easy to want to take control of the situation and allow our anger to take over. When this happens we often times make the situation much worse. Proverbs 20:22 tells us that this is not the way to react. We are to trust the Lord in all situations and that includes our times of anger. We should not act upon our madness. We should allow the Lord our God to handle the matter. We are not in any position to be judge and/or jury. The Lord has not given us that right. We should trust the Lord to take care of the situation. The Lord will defend us. He will handle the matter in his time frame and in his way. We must allow him to work in our lives. We must continue to trust him, even in times of great anger. We must be patient and continue to wait upon him. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

FINDING PEACE

FOR WHERE YOU HAVE ENVY AND SELFISH AMBITION, THERE YOU WILL FIND DISORDER AND EVERY EVIL PRACTICE.” JAMES 3:16

As we continue to live the life that our God wants us to live we will produce the fruits that show his great mercy. Our lives will produce joy, understanding, compassion, love, peace of mind, positive thinking and positive speech. We will build each other up and not tear them down. We must stay in touch with our Lord in all situations. We must not allow the devil even a crack to allow his thoughts, words and evil deeds to enter our being. He is so suttle in the way he works that it is sometimes very hard to discern what is happening. If we stay connected to the Lord we will remember that if allow envy of any kind or selfish ambition to control our actions that we are entering into dangerous territory. James 3:16 says it very clearly, ” there you will find disorder and every evil practice.” Stay connected! Pray at all times! Believe that you receive because God is your source! Continue to build upon your faith daily! Remember, “we can do all thing through Christ who strengthens us.” Phil. 4:13 PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE JOY OF THE LORD IN YOUR LIFE

DO NOT GRIEVE, FOR THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH.” NEHEMIAH 8:10

As we continue to dwell within the word of God we find joy to be a constant part of our lives. When we have joy we have great strength. The Lord is our strength, our personality, our way of life. We should reflect him as though we are looking in a mirror. Our lives will be filled with the promises of God. We will walk with confidence knowing that our God in heaven is with us in all things. We will be overcomers of doubt, worry, fear, disease, sickness, bitterness, unforgiveness and all other evil we face each day. Hopefully, as others see us live our lives in Christ, and they will question how we are living the life we live in a world filled with anger, doubt and intimidation. The Lord will open up opportunities for each and everyone of us to witness on his behalf without fear of retaliation. We must have great faith and a focus on the Lord that is unchanging. We must stay in the word of God and never deviate from his commands for our lives. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FAITH IN ACTION

” FAITH BY ITSELF, IF NOT ACCOMPANIED BY ACTION, IS DEAD.”

A huge part of building your faith is following up with action. We must act upon our faith. We must make it real. When we act upon our faith then we are proving our belief. It is very similar to driving a car. We can go out and buy a car but if it just sits in the driveway then it is doing us no good. However, if we start it and use it, it helps us to fulfill our daily duties. The same principle applies to using our faith. If we take what faith we have been given and never apply it to our lives then what good is it to us? We can say we have faith all day long but if we never put into action it will do us no good. We are to continue to build upon our faith and a huge part of that is putting it into action! When we act upon our faith it then becomes a part of our life. It becomes a way of life. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

SPEAKING FROM THE HEART

BUT THE WORDS YOU SPEAK COME FROM THE HEART- THAT’S WHAT DEFILES YOU. ” MATTHEW 15:18

As we continue to train ourselves up in the Lord we fill our spirits with all of the good things of our God. We fill ourselves with peace and understanding, joy, forgiveness, love for others, compassion and purity. As these things of God penetrate our soul then our spirit will take over and control our actions and words. Our desires will change from the lusting after things of this world to a desire of more things from the Lord. What we speak will reflect what we have filled our lives with. If we have allowed the things of this world to control our lives then our speech will reflect what desires and worldly things we have allowed in. We will speak negatively, without forgivness for others. Our words will reflect language that allows unruly things into our lives. However, if we have filled ourselves with the things of our God in heaven then our speech will reflect our compassion for others, our love and joy for the good things of God here on earth. We want those around us to see and hear the things of God. We want our actions to display the fruits from our Lord. We want our speech to reflect what God has given us and use our words to build others up and not tear them down. Let us stay close to God and allow him to be a part of our lives each and everyday. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

PERSEVERANCE

SO, DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE, IT WILL BE RICHLY REWARDED. YOU NEED TO PERSEVERE SO THAT WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD , YOU WILL RECEIVE WHAT HE HAS PROMISED.” HEBREWS 10: 35-36

Many times when we pray, our prayers are not answered as quickly as we might want. It is in these times that that our faith is put to the test. We must continue to believe, even in times when it appears the situation is hopeless. We must not doubt or fear. We must continue to keep our focus on the end result, Jesus Christ. From a human stand point this is not an easy task. We are surrounded by the world and all of the doubt that comes with it. In order to keep our focus on Jesus, and to know that we are receiving all of his promises, we must continue to surround ourselves with the things of God. We must read and meditate upon his word each and everyday. We must pray and listen carefully to the direction of the Holy Spirit. We must continue to stay positive in our thoughts, words and actions. But, as God tells us in Hebrews 10, we WILL receive what he has promised when we have presevered and done the will of God. We are to be patient and NOT anxious about anything. Keep building upon your faith! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BELIEVE WHEN YOU PRAY!

IF ANY OF YOU LACKS WISDOM, HE SHOULD ASK GOD, WHO GIVES GENEROUSLY WITHOUT FINDING FAULT, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO HIM. BUT, WHEN HE ASKS, HE MUST BELIEVE AND NOT DOUBT, BECAUSE HE WHO DOUBTS IS LIKE A WAVE OF THE SEA, BLOWN AND TOSSED IN THE WIND.” JAMES 1: 5-6

Communicating with our God is a vital part of our life. Without this communication we are lost in the confusion of the world we live. We must, however, be wise in our communication with him. We must believe what we pray for. If we do not, then we will not receive. We must have a faith in his word. We must believe what he tells us. We must not doubt the promises he has put before us . If we don’t believe when we pray, then why are we praying in the first place? Do we pray like we play darts? Do we throw a prayer out there with hopes that we hit the target? We must honor our God in all things. We must believe him. He is not a liar, and if he says he will answer, then he will and does answer our prayers. We must continue each day to build upon our faith to believe God answers prayers for the smallest of things to the largest of our problems. He knows our hearts, he knows what we need before we pray. Let us all pray with confindence that our Lord God in heaven is faithful, loving and caring. Believe that you receive because God is your source! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

A LIFE TRUSTING GOD

THE LORD WILL KEEP YOU FROM ALL HARM- HE WILL WATCH OVER YOUR LIFE; THE LORD WILL WATCH OVER YOUR COMING AND GOING BOTH NOW AND FOREVERMORE.” PSALM 121: 7-8

Our God never fails on anything he promises. If we are truly trusting our God then we are trusting everything he says. We cannot trust one thing and then not another. As our faith becomes stronger and stronger each day our trust in the Lord continues to grow as well. We can rest assured that he is always with us. He has sent his loving and caring Holy Spirit to live inside each of us, to guide and help us through our struggles and problems. We must also understand that our Lord is not a forceful God and will not do anything unless we ask him to. We must consider each trouble before us and ask our Lord to help us through. He must be the first and the last one we go to for answers to our struggles. If we don’t ask then he won’t work in our lives. If we do our part then our God in heaven will keep each and every promise he has made for our lives. We will be able to live each day in joy and complete peace. Our God has never and will never change. He is watching our every move, every thought we think and is waiting patiently for us to invite him to help us through each and every day. We will never be without troubles. But with the Lord with us we can do all things. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE LORD IS YOUR LIFE

IT’S NOT WHAT GOES INTO YOUR MOUTH THAT DEFILES YOU; YOU ARE DEFILED BY THE WORDS THAT COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH.” MATTHEW 15:11

The Lord your God in heaven should be your life. If we are allowing the Lord to direct our lives then He is the first one you think of in troubled times! He is the first one you seek when you have struggles! He is the only one you should pattern your thoughts, words and actions after! He is the one you would never deny! He is the one you are willing to be persecuted and die for! He is the one you rise every morning for and the one you rest your eyes for at night. He is your every thought, every word you speak and every action you take! His word is in your mouth and your heart! Our Lord is very near and not far away! The Lord is your life! We should be courageous in all that we say and do! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

MOUNTAINS OF PROTECTION

JUST AS THE MOUNTAINS SURROUND JERUSALEM, SO THE LORD SURROUNDS HIS PEOPLE, BOTH NOW AND FOREVER.” PSALM 125:2

Mountains have played a huge part in the history within God’s word. Mountains are not only beautiful but also used as fortification during times of war and in times when protection is needed. Being surrounded by mountains is like being surrounded by a huge wall. We have that same protection offered to us by our Lord each day. The Lord will surround us with his continued protection in all situations if we just ask and then believe. It is so important that when we pray we believe we receive. We must remember that it is by faith that our prayers are answered. We don’t see the results first and then believe but we believe first that our prayers are answered and then see the results. Without strong faith our lives will not be successful. We will live in constant fear and doubt. This is not what God wants. He wants us to be strong, peaceful, joyful, understanding, patient and live without any fear and doubt. We can only do that if we have built our faith so strong that it can never be shaken. Our God in heaven has surrounded us with his mighty protection. We must believe that his protection is real. We must continue to pray and meditate within his word each and everyday. We must make God’s ways our ways of life. We will then be successful and prosperous as children of God. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

FEAR OF THE LORD LEADS TO LIFE

THE FEAR OF THE LORD LEADS TO LIFE: THEN ONE RESTS CONTENT, UNTOUCHED BY TROUBLE. “

As we continue to build our faith we will become more and more like the Lord in our actions. We will find ourselves looking to the Lord for the answers to all of our troubles and struggles. We will find that if we lay our problems at the feet of Jesus, and leave them there, they will be defeated. Our faith will lead us to believe in the unseen trust of our Lord God. We will be stronger and more powerful in our actions and words. We will find ourselves caring for others, praying for others, being considerate of others and at the same time being strong and standing up to the evil of this world. Our love of the the Lord will lead us to a more joyful life. We know that when we face any struggle we are able to take it to the Lord and it will be answered. We will believe that we receive because God is our source! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE WORD OF GOD IN VERY NEAR

NO, THE WORD IS VERY NEAR YOU; IT IS IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART SO YOU MAY OBEY IT. ” DEUTERONOMY 30:14

The word of God has been made accessible to each and everyone of us. Deuteronomy 30:14 tells us that it is in our mouth and in our heart. What we speak comes from the heart. We must keep our hearts clean and full of the good and the great things of our Lord. When problems occur it is important that we talk of things from the Lord our God and not the things of the devil and this world. If we are surrounded by the things of God then our words will be of peace, joy, love and encouragement. We will have confidence in our Lord and his many promises for our lives. If we stray from the ways of God then our mouths will reflect negative words and thoughts and we will only dig ourselves deeper into our problems by creating negative things with our words. Let us all wrap ourselves in God’s loving arms and believe every promise he has made. Let us read and meditate on his holy word so that when we do face problems he will be the first place we go for our answers. Remember, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

ENDURING PERSECUTION

YES, AND EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO LIVE A GODLY LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS WILL SUFFER PERSECUTION. ” 2 TIMOTHY 3:12

Have you ever heard someone say ” there is nothing free in this world.” ? When Jesus came into this world he knew there would be persecution and even death. He knew he would suffer on the cross. He knew he would be made fun of, cursed and spit on. Yes, there was a price to pay for saving his children. Even though Christ died for us we also have a price to pay. We have to believe unconditionally in Jesus Christ. If we live our beliefs we also will be presecuted, made fun of and possibly even cursed because of our beliefs and the way we live. We must not be afraid to stand up and defend our Jesus. We are to never deny him. No matter our situation we are to stand in the face of evil and believe we receive because God is our source. We are to stay strong in all that we do and say. WE must surround ourselves with the love of Christ. Stay in his word always and pray to him continually. Jesus died for us and we must stay strong and fight with all of our might for the word of God. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

STAY PLUGGED INTO YOUR SOURCE

THE LORD WILL CONQUER YOUR ENEMIES WHEN THEY ATTACK YOU. ” DEUTERONOMY 28:7

To use any of our devices we have in todays world we must make sure that we plug them in to the source that is going to give them the proper energy to work. We as humans work much the same way. For us to work properly, the way God wants us to work, we must plug into the proper source. It is important that we plug into the Lord each day by praying, meditating on his word and praising him in all things. In doing so, we recharge our battery which allow us to go out into the world and confront anything put before us. We must however, continue to recharge our battery each day. We cannot expect to go to church on Sunday and have our battery charged for the rest of the week. Our struggles are daily and we need to plug in Jesus daily. If we stay charged we will have a faith that is strong enough to believe that we receive. If we stay charged we will not allow an opening for the devil to cause havoc in our lives. Yes, the devil will try everything under the sun to conquer us, but with the Lord, he will be defeated. We can do nothing on our own. But with our Lord Jesus we can do all things. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LISTEN CAREFULLY

FOR A TIME IS COMING WHEN PEOPLE WILL NO LONGER LISTEN TO SOUND AND WHOLESOME TEACHING. THEY WILL FOLLOW THEIR OWN DISIRES AND WILL LOOK FOR TEACHERS WHO WILL TELL THEM WHATEVER THEIR ITCHING EARS WANT TO HEAR. THEY WILL REJECT THE TRUTHS AND CHASE AFTER MYTHS.” 2 TIMOTHY 4: 3&4

Every generation could probably stand up and support the above scripture. However, we are living in a special time. You and I have been chosen to live in the end times. Struggles are not totally understood. Things that some people are doing seem so obviously bad that it just doesn’t make sense that they continue do the same things over and over again. Lying and cheating is no longer hidden but has become a way of life and is displayed right out in the open. Many churches today do not preach or teach the true word of God. They lean toward teaching and are in agreement with the things of this world. Because of this we must become very careful and selective in what church we attend. It has become even more important that we as Christians stand up and live our lives as true witnesses for Christ. Many will fall short. The pressures continue to build and the attacks continue to get stronger against those who continually support and speak the truths of our Lord and Savior. In order to survive these vicious attacks we must build our faith to a point that our God in heaven is our total and only source. There can be no other. We must surround ourselves with God’s holy word and stay strong. The attacks against Christians in this country are beginning to reflect the attacks that are already taking place against Christians around the world. Stay strong, pray continually and never give up your faith! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

KEEPING HIS CHILDREN FROM HARM

THE LORD KEEPS YOU FROM ALL HARM AND WATCHES OVER YOUR LIFE. THE LORD KEEPS WATCH OVER YOU AS YOU COME AND GO BOTH NOW AND FOREVER. ” PSALMS 122:7-8

No matter where we are in life or what we are doing, our Lord is always with us. He is with us in our good times and in our times of need. He is with us in times of celebration and in times of sorrow. He never fails us in any way, shape or form. However, he is not going to push himself upon us. He has given each of us a free will to act and think what we want. We must train ourselves up to reach out to our Lord in every situation, praising him in the good times and praying to him in times of need. Our faith must continually be refreshed and made stronger. It is by faith that we are healed and delivered from anxiety, doubt, worry, fear and disease. It is by faith that we allow our God in heaven to work in our lives and make them better. He does not want us to suffer, fear anything or struggle. He wants us to live in peace and with joy in our hearts. Let’s continue to build upon our faith and allow our Lord to work in our lives! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

STAYING FOCUSED ON OUR ROCK!

SINCE HE HIMSELF HAS GONE THROUGH SUFFERING AND TESTING, HE IS ABLE TO HELP US WHEN WE ARE BEING TESTED.” HEBREWS 2:18

SO PETER WENT OVER THE SIDE OF THE BOAT AND WALKED ON THE WATER TOWARD JESUS. BUT WHEN HE SAW THE STRONG WIND AND THE WAVES, HE WAS TERRIFIED AND BEGAN TO SINK. “SAVE ME LORD!” HE SHOUTED.” MATTHEW 14:29-30

We must never forget that every test that we go through has already been defeated by our Lord Jesus Christ. Because he has already gone through the testing of this world he is able and willing to help us through our own troubles. He is the expert.

Peter and the other disciples were constantly being challenged by the stresses of the world they lived in. They were always being contested by doubt, worry and fear. That night on the water, as Jesus was walking toward their boat, Peter was instructed by Jesus to climb over the edge and walk to him on the water. Peter did just that until he looked around and saw what was happening around him. He obviously saw the waves and continued to hear the strong wind. Doubt and fear then rose up within him and he could no longer continue the miracle of walking on the water. We are in the same position as Peter was on that night. We all have our struggles and mountains to climb. Our troubles begin when we take our eyes off of Jesus and begin to pay attention to what is going on around us. We allow the fear and doubt to bubble up within us and we begin to rationalize our problems finding out that they are impossible to overcome. without Jesus. As Jesus told Peter, ” oh ye of little faith.” It is so important that we continue to keep our focus on our Lord. We must have a faith that is strong and unwavering. If we stay focused we will be victorious in anything we do. We must continue to surround ourselves with the things of our Lord: faith, love, and joy. Remember, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. We must, however, stay focused and never take our eyes off him. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LIVING WITH STRENGTH AND COURAGE

BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS! DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISCOURAGED. FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO. ” JOSHUA 1:9

We should not live our lives in fear. We should not live our lives in doubt. The Lord our God in heaven has given us one of the greatest promises he could give in Joshua 1:9. It is important that we continue to stay strong in the Lord. We must remember that he is by our side in all things and in every situation. When we come upon a problem or troubles we should train ourselves up to go the Lord in prayer. He should be the first one we think of and the first one we turn to for help. If we continue to build our faith and live by faith then we will always be reminded of his presence in our lives. We will never be alone. We will always remember that he never fails on any promise he gives. With Jesus we can do all things. Without Christ we will fail. Continue to build your faith each day and remember that our God never fails on a promise. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

LIVING THE TRUTH

FOR I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY TO LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD AND TO KEEP HIS COMMANDS, DECREES AND REGULATIONS BY WALKING IN HIS WAYS.” DEUTERONOMY 30:16

THEY WILL ACT RELIGEOUS BUT THEY WILL REJECT THE POWER THAT COULD MAKE THEM GODLY. STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE LIKE THAT.” 2 TIMOTHY 3:5

Do you know anyone who talks the talk but refuses to walk the walk? Knowing the Lord is not a religion. Knowing Christ is a relationship. It is a way of life. People can quote scriptures all day long and look as religeous as they want but, if they are not living the life of which they are professing, then they are not living in a true relationship with Christ. We are told to know others by their fruits. I love to watch old westerns. One of my favorites is the Lone Ranger. He would often say “don’t judge me by my mask but by my actions.” The same is true for those of us who truly know Jesus. We must not only know what the word of God says but we must be faithful and put those ways into action. We must walk the walk. Scripture tells us to stay away from those who reject the power. Yes, we should witness to others and I believe we should never give up. But, if others are agreeing with the message and rejecting the actions necessary to make them godly, then we probably shouldn’t be hanging out with them. Our true relationship with Jesus demands us to live a life representing his fruits. We should surround ourselves with those who are producing good fruit and not bad. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

LIVING FOR THE END RESULT

WE SHOULD LIVE IN THIS EVIL WORLD WITH WISDOM, RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND DEVOTION TO GOD, WHILE WE LOOK FORWARD WITH HOPE THAT WONDERFUL DAY WHEN THE GLORY OF OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST WILL BE REVEALED. ” TITUS 2:12-13

What a glorious future we have to look forward to. What a glorious and wonderful ending is about to take place. Our Lord God in heaven gives us a clear direction as to how to conduct ourselves and live our lives upon this earth. In Titus this world is described as an “evil world.” We are to live our lives in the exact opposite way of evil. We are to display wisdom, righteousness and devotion to our God and Savoir Jesus Christ. There is only one true way to do this. We must have great faith. We must surround ourselves with the things of God. God’s word must become our way of life. It is not enough to just go to church on Sunday, walk away feeling good and then submerge ourselves back in to the problems of this world during the week without involving our Lord. We must continue our Sundays into our week. We must live a life worthy of representing Jesus. Every word we speak and every action we take should be worthy of our Lord. We are not perfect and we will make mistakes. When we do we must go to the Lord immediatly and ask for his forgiveness. Our Lord is returning soon. Keep up the faith and display his characteristics each and everyday. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

PREVENTING FIRES

THE TONGUE CAN BRING DEATH OR LIFE; THOSE WHO LOVE TO TALK WILL REAP THE CONSEQUENCES. ” PROVERBS 18:21

The tongue is very powerful. We can set things into motion with the power of our tongues. We can set fire to our lives by spreading doubt, worry and fear. We can cause grief to others by spreading lies and gossip. We can make ourselves sick by confessing sickness and disease. We can cause those around us to respond positively or negitavely toward us by what we say and how we say it. Though our tongues can cause all of this evil, if we train ourselves up to speak words of encouragment, joy, love, peace, wisdom and faith we can and will be overcomers by the word of God. Positive words and not negative words will build us up and make us strong. Positive words will help to build others up and make them strong. With a positve tongue we are able to overcome the doubt, sorrows and fears of this world. The world we live in is representative of all the negativity of the devil. We must must not add fuel to his fire. Instead we must put into action the words that support our God in heaven and how he feels toward each and everyone of us. We must stand in the face of anger, fear, sadness and depression with the positive forces of our Lord. We must stay positive in Jesus and speak words that support our Lord and his way of life. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

LIVING TESTIMONIES

BE AN EXAMPLE TO ALL BELIEVERS IN WHAT YOU SAY, IN THE WAY YOU LIVE, IN YOUR LOVE, YOUR FAITH AND YOUR PURITY.” 1 TIMOTHY 4:12

We are living testimonies on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ. We should walk the walk and talk the talk. In order to do this our faith must be such that we live a life of confidence and belief in our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot allow the things going on around us to influence the way we live or influence the words we speak. As we surround ourselves with the word of God our faith continues to grow. It becomes our life. It becomes the way we live. We are able to walk this earth with the power that our Lord has given us. We are able to deal with all of the struggles of life with power and confidence and in victory. We become healed physically, mentally, financially, and emotionally. We walk with our heads high and with a power that only our Lord can give us. We have no fear because we live in the shadow of the almighty, knowing that he is protecting us at all times. Our faith continues to grow and reaches to the ends of every part of our being. We are living examples of our Lord Jesus Christ! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

CONQUERING YOUR ENEMIES

THE LORD WILL CONQUER ALL YOUR ENEMIES WHEN THEY ATTACK YOU. THEY WILL ATTACK YOU FROM ONE DIRECTION BUT FLEE FROM YOU IN SEVEN! ” DEUTERONOMY 28:7

What a powerful message we are given. As we endure daily attacks from the enemy we can rest assured that our Lord God in heaven is so mighty that our attackers will scatter from us in multiple directions. All we have to do is believe in our Lord and allow him to work in our lives. It is easy to sometimes shut our Lord out and try to do things on our own. When this happens the result usually ends in defeat. But, if we build up our faith in Jesus, and trust in him, our enemies will not stick around. What Jesus stands for is love, faith and purity. The evil around us stands for the exact opposite. The power our Lord provides to us is so mighty that evil cannot stand in its presence. The power of Jesus demands that evil flee from our lives and when it does it moves out quickly. The bible tells us that when it scatters it goes in seven directions. Our Lord is great, powerful, loving, caring and just. Let us continue to build our faith and trust in him in everything. Let us praise him through thick and thin, good times and bad times. If we do the Lord’s presence stays close and the evil of the world scatters profoundly. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

RECEIVING REST IN JESUS

COME TO ME, ALL OF YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND CARRY HEAVY BURDENS, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. ” MATTHEW 11:28

We all become weary in this life. We are constantly overcoming obstacles and mountains set before us. No matter the situation, we have a great resting place in Jesus. We should be able to take our problems and struggles to the Lord each time we confront them. We should be able to trust our Lord to help us through these times of need. However, before we can do that, we must totally trust in our Lord. We must be able to leave our problems at his feet and not pick them up when we leave. We must be able to meditate and concentrate on the Lord’s Word and to listen very carefully to what he is saying to us. We must follow his word without fear or hesitation. If we do, our Lord God in heaven promises to get us through our many struggles. We must have great faith in order to believe what the Lord is telling us. We must have great faith to be able to put his word into action. We must build our faith to a level that helps us to honor our God and to listen and do as he instructs. If we have this faith then we are able do all things through Christ who gives us strength. In the face of doubt, worry and fear, we must continue to praise our Lord, pray to our Lord and confess his promises for our lives. Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS! REMEMBER HE IS OUR RESTING PLACE!

NEVER LET DOWN

HE TOOK OUR SICKNESSES AND REMOVED OUR DISEASES.” MATTHEW 8:17

I WILL PROTECT THOSE WHO TRUST IN MY NAME.” PSALM 91:14

We have a great and loving God. We should live a life that testifies to his greatness. We should continue to be positive and not negative. We should speak positive words and not negative words. We should never open ourselves up to evil. We should surround ourselves with those who build us up and not those who keep us from reaching our Godly goals. We must believe that we receive and continue claim the promises of God. Remember, God says, ‘ I will protect those who trust in my name.’ PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BE AWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS

BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS WHO COME DISGUISED AS HARMLESS SHEEP, BUT ARE REALLY VICIOUS WOLVES. YOU CAN IDENTIFY THEM BY THEIR FRUIT, THAT IS BY THE WAY THEY ACT.” MATTHEW 7:15-16

There are many in the world today who say and give honor to God. There are many Gods in the world. There are many things that people worship other than Jesus our Lord and Savior. There is the love of money, power, and sex, just to name a few. Just because somone says they worship our God in heaven does not mean that they do. Our Lord warns us to be on alert for those who do not produce good fruit. Watch carefully how others live their lives. Are they praising God on one hand but living a life of sin? The devil is very sly and deceiving. He knows very well how to infiltrate our ranks as Christians. If we are not fully trained in the scriptures and not living a life of prayer in Jesus Christ, then we are leaving ourselves open to his evil deception. It is important that we are able to recognize those around us who are in our lives only to cause trouble and be deceitfulness. We should not just look at the cover of the book but actually read it and see what is inside. The outward appearance may look as innocent as a young child but inside there may be evil desires and a plan for descruction. Our Lord want us to be wise in how we live and to be able to recognize any evil around us. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

LIVING A GUIDED LIFE

GUIDE MY STEPS BY YOUR WORD, SO I WILL NOT BE OVERCOME.” PSALM 119:133

The word of God is at our fingertips. Within his Word is the answer to any problem we may have in life. It is so important to put prayer and reading God’s Word hand in hand. Take time to pray before you read. Ask the Lord to show you and explain his Word. He loves us very much and has provided many truths for living a successful Christian life. Life is not easy but our Lord has everything under control. He has given us a roadmap, called the Bible, to lead us through this life on earth. It is important that it becomes a part of us, an extension of our lives, a daily routine. We must continue to seek his word and live by it. We must continue to strengthen our faith and believe and trust our God. I have found that it is hard to build faith without reading the Bible each and everyday. We must stay plugged into the Lord because his answers are faithful and never ending. Remember, Jesus will not fail us or abandon us. We must stay strong and courageous! The way to do that is to pray, stay in God’s Word, and then put his Word into action within our lives. PRAISE THE LORD!

RUN TO THE FORTRESS

THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG FORTRESS; THE GODLY RUN TO HIM AND ARE SAFE. ” PROVERBS 18:10

In our times of troubles we need to know where to go for help. The name of Jesus is a powerful tool. It is the power of God. Jesus is God. When we run into troubles we need to go to him with conviction. We need to go to him with trust and belief. When you listen to the mainstream news or the person on the street you very seldom will hear them talk about Jesus. They are not afraid to talk about God because there are many different Gods in this world. However, there is great power in the name of Jesus! Those who believe and use His name are always victorious. The devil himself and all of his demons flee at the name of Jesus. Our Lord is a strong fortress. We must train ourselves up to go to him in our times of trouble and not rely on those who may fail us. If we run to Jesus we are safe and victorius! He tells us that he will not fail us or abandon us. We must be strong and courageous! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THNGS!

TREASURES OF GOD

THE LORD HAS DECLARED TODAY THAT YOU ARE HIS PEOPLE, HIS OWN SPECIAL TREASURE, JUST AS HE PROMISED, AND THAT YOU MUST OBEY HIS COMMANDS. ” DEUTERONOMY 26:18

We are the treasures of God. He loves each of us so much that he gave the ultimate gift, his son Jesus Christ, to die for us. He doesn’t want his family to suffer through this life on earth. He has given us everything we need in order to live a life that shows others the value of living for Jesus. He wants us to live lives of faith, love and care and lives that show the people around us that we are victorious in Christ Jesus. Even though there are those who are destined for hell he doesn’t want anyone going to hell. As we contrinue to live in his time of grace we should be spreading his word with our words and our deeds. If we are born again Christians then our fruit will be that of the love of Christ. Our goal should be to take everyone to heaven with us. We need to stand up in the face of the devil and be proud to be a treasure of God, never denying him but always professing him and living lives worthy of his death on the cross. PRAISE THE LORD!

KEEPING OUR MINDS AND THOUGHTS PREPARED

THINK ABOUT THE THINGS OF HEAVEN, NOT THE THINGS OF THE EARTH. ” COLOSSIANS 3:2

We must continue each day to keep our heads in the game. The game of life is very complex. We live in a world of sin and disobedience but we are spiritual beings trying to fight a spiritual war. Our lives become divided because of who we are. We become confused because of the way the devil attacks us. He wants us to believe this world and all that is going on in it. He wants us to believe all of the evil and keep our minds on all earthly things. If we do we will see no future, no success and no joy. If the devil can keep us focused on the things of this world then we will not have our thoughts with our Lord and the things going on in the spiritual world. We will be fighting against the wrong things. We will constantly be casting blame on others instead of casting blame where it needs to be cast, on the devil and his army. We are not fighting against our brothers and sisters of this world. We are not fighting against all other humans of this world. Our fight is happening in the spirit world. It is happening in a world that we cannot see as humans. Our only hope to have better lives as Chrisitians is to surround ourselves with the love of Christ. We must pray constantly, meditate upon his holy word and praise our Lord God in heaven for all things. As humans in this world we are defeated but as spiritual beings in God we are victorius in all things. Continue to focus on God and what he wants you to do. How do you know what he wants you to do? Pray to him and ask. Then, step back and meditate in his word. Listen carefully to the Holy Spirit and do as he guides. We are all victorious in Christ! PRAISE THE lORD IN ALL THINGS!
