TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “What you say flows from what is in your heart.” Luke 6:45
TODAY’S MESSAGE: A changed heart is one that has been transformed from sin-focused to God-focused. It is the result of the working of the Holy Spirit who is working to regenerate people and give them new hearts. Often times the presence of the Holy Spirit is forgotten. However, He is the foundation of our change from sin to God-like. It is He who softens the hardened heart and fills people with love, joy, and peace. It is His power that allows us the benefit of living our lives with our focus on God. The death of Jesus broke the seal and power of sin that controlled us as worldly people. It is this sacrifice that allows our God to desire you, and me to become like Jesus, His Son. Our God wants nothing more than for us to desire His presence in our lives, and that we live our lives in such a way that shows the world of our commitment. We become selfless and not selfish. We change from trusting the ways of the world to trusting the ways of our God in heaven. We begin to talk about our Lord, read and meditate upon His Holy Word and praise and pray to Him. Our changed heart begins to show the world that we have a new delight and desire for God in heaven and not for the world around us. It is a changed heart that allows us to believe that our prayers will be answered, and that God is correct in all of His decisions. It is a changed heart that allows us to forgive our enemies. It is with a changed heart that we love our God in heaven, we love His Son, Jesus, and we love His Holy Spirit. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!
