WHY DOES GOD ALLOW PROBLEMS TO EXIST IN OUR LIVES?

And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance, and perseverance, proven character, and proven character, hope, and hope does not disappoint, because the love God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who he has given to us.” Romans 5: 3-5

We all have problems in our lives. These problems are allowed by God for the purpose of allowing us to learn to persevere, so that we can develop his character, and so we will have hope. Because of his great love for each of us, He wants us to experience His eternal, abundant life more deeply. However, the only way to prepare us is through hardship. So, as we can see, even trials are an outpouring of his grace and love for us. Therefore, instead of doubting God’s love because of our problems we should rejoice in them. WORKING OUT FOR JESUS!

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.” John 20:31

Working out for Jesus is much different than working out to better yourself. To help ourselves to become healthier we might decide to walk, run, jog, ride a bicycle, lift weights, or use any other kind of exercise to help us increase our heart rate, improve weight loss or to improve lung function. There are many reasons to physically workout and they all lead to helping us to live longer in a stress-free environment.

Working out for Jesus, on the other hand, is a much different kind of workout. This workout is one that should always take place daily. It is a workout that benefits both us and our God in heaven. It involves prayer, praise, reading scripture, and good meditation skills. The benefits include developing good listening skills, increasing trust in Jesus, increasing faith in Jesus and increasing good conversation with our God in heaven. These exercises must be routinely maintained so that they become a part of us. These exercises must be a part of our everyday existence. As we maintain these workouts, we will increasingly become more confident in Jesus as the truth and the life we need to be successful and live eternally with Him. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

WE ARE NOT LIVING IN A FAIRYTALE!

” We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” Romans 3:22

So, we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.” Romans 3:28

We are not living in a fairytale world. Everything we do and all that we say. and the way we live our lives is real. There is nothing magical about life itself. There are many people in the world who do not believe in our great God in heaven, but instead, have not given it great thought or believe that we just became existent with a “BIG BANG”. Others have created their own Gods and believe their own thoughts. They scoff when we say the name of Jesus and laugh at us for believing that Jesus will return one day. We are here to continue to shout the name of Jesus to the world. We are here to live lives that demonstrate his power, his love and his faith. We are not to be seduced into believing that our Lord God and His Son Jesus Christ are nothing more than a fairytale. We are not to believe that we are wasting our lives and wasting our precious time here on earth. There is nothing farther from the truth. Life in this world is real and Jesus is real. Evil and deception are real and the goodness of our God in heaven is real. As God has made it very clear to the world, belief and faith in Jesus is the only way we gain righteousness in God’s sight and to receive eternal life with Him in heaven. Jesus is real and we are to continue to be a witness of his life, his faith and power, even through all the persecution and evil efforts of those who are unbelievers. JESUS IS LORD! A CHILD IS BORN

This is how Jesus, the Messiah, was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant by the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly.

As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. Joseph, son of David, the angel said, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his profit: Look! the virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanual, which means, God with us. When Joseph woke up, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded and took Mary as his wife. Matthew 1:18-24

Unfortunately, Christmas means different things to different people. To some it is about the children. To others it is about the gifts. And to some it is about a day off from work. The term Christmas has become so commercialized in our world that the real meaning of the word is missed. We sometimes neglect to focus and meditate on the right meaning, our great gift from God, Jesus Christ. It was on this day that Jesus began his journey on this earth. It was on this day that the clock began to tick toward his crucifixion. We must continue, not only on this day, but each day, to praise Him, and to forever thank Him for His great sacrifice. Jesus was born on Christmas Day! Without this great happening then none of the rest of His story exists. “Thank you, Lord God, for the birth of your Son on this day in Bethlehem. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

WHAT DO YOU SEEK?

“People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samual 16:7

“A person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not people.” Romans 2:29

Living in the today’s world allows us to seek about anything materially that we can think of. There are many beautiful things in this world that are enticing, and of a physical nature, which allows us to touch, smell and taste. However, when we accept Jesus, our heart changes. Our focus is no longer of the things of this world, but instead, the things of God. As our heart changes so should our total being. We no longer covet the things of this world but now covet the things of God. We no longer seek the praises from our friends and neighbors but instead, the praises of God. We begin to seek spiritual things and not physical things. We understand that the world looks at us from a worldly view, but God looks deep into our heart. He knows our true intentions and whether we are truthful or not. When our lives change, and we begin living for God, those around us also begin to see what is in our heart. The love of Jesus should be on display for all to see. Jesus is Lord! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE PATIENCE OF OUR GOD IN HEAVEN!

“Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Romans 2:4

“For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.” Romans 2:13

We should be so grateful for the patience of our Lord God in heaven. It is because of his love, and the patience he has with our actions, that you and I are coveted so much by him. If it were not for his patient endurance, we would find ourselves staring at our own crucifixion, without faith or confidence of enduring such an action. What is important for us as Christians is the ability to do more than just listen to his commands and words of instruction. It is vital that we actually hear his words and put them into action within our own lives. It is through living and practicing his holy word in our lives that we are able to build faith and trust in what he tells us. It is by living and practicing his holy ways that we are true children of the living God in heaven. It is by living in his ways that we become living bibles to the world around us. It is by being obedient to him that allows us to become righteous in his eyes. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE FAITH ROAD

It is through faith that righteous person has life.” Romans 1:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

Faith is not a feeling. Faith is a response to hearing God’s Word, specifically the message about Jesus. When we listen to someone speak, we do not always hear what they say. The act of listening is putting our ears to work. We listen to sounds all day long and many of them are just cast aside as everyday noises that mean little to nothing in our daily lives. However, hearing is a totally different concept. Hearing implies more than just a physical act. Hearing is receiving, processing and understanding what we hear. According to the Apostle Paul we need to hear the message of Christ in order to believe it. When we hear and believe we begin to build faith in our Lord Jesus and in all that he does for us. We begin to believe all of the actions of his life on the earth. We believe the reason he walked in this world and the reason for his death on the cross. We believe in the resurrection and of eternal life with him when we transfer from this world to the next. To be in right standing with our God in heaven we must believe with faith. He gives us promises that we have not seen but must believe to receive. To believe in our God we must believe in things unseen. We must have a faith that is so strong, there is nothing that can destroy it. We must read, meditate and pray his Holy Word. We must ask for understanding and believe that we have received it. We must put his promises into action in our lives so that his truths will become real and live within us. Jesus is our Lord! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

ALWAYS LOOK UPWARD!

“Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.” Psalm 107:15

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. Seek his will in all that you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6

As we travel through life on this earth, we are subject to many twists and turns. It is at these times that we must look upward and allow God to rain his many blessings upon us. It seems that sometimes our peace and answers to prayer come from Jesus in awkward and unlikely times. What is important is that we continue to press forward with our stance straight and our focus on Jesus established and strong. There are so many so-called Christians in today’s world who say they believe in our Lord but only believe when the time is convenient. However, when the twists and turns of life begin to set in as reality, they pull away from Christ Jesus and begin to believe in and depend upon themselves. When this happens, failure is more than likely on the horizon. It is impossible to believe sometimes and not at other times. Belief in Jesus is a commitment that stands forever. It is a solid foundation that allows us to build upon it and establish faith that grows and grows. We are to take action upon the word that our Lord gives us. If he delays in answering our prayers, then we also should stay silent until his answers arrive. We should always be looking upward. We are to lean upon him and not on our understanding. It is He who has the wisdom and understanding to give us in all situations. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL SITUATIONS!

PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT FEAR!

“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear.” 1 John 4:18

The love of Jesus is perfect and has no weaknesses. God made sure of that when he gave Jesus to the cross. His love for us was displayed in such a way that we cannot totally understand it. However, what we should be able to understand is that his love is so strong that there is absolutely nothing that can break its power. The devil does his best to try by making our lives as difficult as possible. When we fall Jesus picks us up. When we falter, He forgives us and wipes away our sins. There is nothing that can break the love of our God in heaven. When we accept Jesus, fear runs away. It no longer dominates our lives nor is it able to be near the love of Jesus. When we allow the Jesus to rush into our lives, He quickly washes away anger, fear and all misunderstandings. Perfect love, (the Love of Jesus) throws away all fear. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

AGAIN, AND AGAIN!

” Again and again, he rescued them, but they chose to rebel against him, and they finally were destroyed by their sin. Even so, he pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries.” Psalm 106:43-44

Our God is not a one and done God. Even before Christ came to this world to save it, God was giving his children chances time and time again. Today, he has given us even greater chances. He has given us Jesus. If we decide to follow his ways and listen to his words, we have no way to fail. Even if we fall along the way by going against his Holy Word, he picks us up and puts us back on the right path, if we just ask. Peter asked Jesus how many times he should forgive his brothers and sisters. (Matthew 18:21-22) Jesus told him seventy times seven. Our Father in heaven is a loving and forgiving God. There is nothing he won’t do for his children and for his church. We are to never give up. If we stumble, we are to never think that he will not forgive us. However, we must repent in hearts and ask for forgiveness. We are to always believe that he is with us and must always pray to him. He is our savior and our loving God in heaven; He has proven that he forgives again and again. PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

POWER IN THE NAME!

“I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask in my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” John 16: 23-24 ————- ” I am not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf, for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe I came from God.” John 16: 26-27

There is great power in the name of Jesus. Our Lord explained this to his disciples as he was nearing his death and resurrection. He explains that the time has arrived when we can talk with God directly. He will listen to us and grant our requests because we know Jesus. There is only one condition. We must use the name of Jesus when approaching our God. We must know Jesus intimately and believe that we receive. If we know Jesus, then we know God. If we know Jesus, then our hearts have changed, and our lives have turned from worldly to heavenly. We will make mistakes along the way, but God loves us and will grant us forgiveness if we repent and ask. God loves us and recognizes us because we have accepted the ways of Jesus and believe in him. As a believer in Christ, we have great power at our fingertips and in our words. The time is nearing and, may already be here, when our faith must be at its strongest. It is time to read his word daily, meditate upon it daily and pray often. Our God is with us always; we are never alone! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE SIN OF THE WORLD!

“The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.” John 16:9

We talk a lot about the ways of the world, as if they are all bad. Just what are the bad ways of the world? John 16:9 very plainly explains what the sin of the world is. The world refuses to believe in Jesus Christ. The world has no desire to learn about the truths of Jesus. They refuse to live lives that follow his righteous acts of obedience and to glorify God in heaven. They refuse to honor the blood shed on that day he was nailed to the cross. They refuse to believe that he is God and that he came to this earth as the Christ Jesus to save the world. The world allows many beliefs to exist and honors them all, except those of the Jewish people and the Christian faith in Jesus. The sin of the world exhibits actions that are contrary to what our Lord represents. They lie about Him, they mock Him, they crucify Him day after day and they continue to dig their graves of unrighteousness. The sin of the world is to not know Christ. It is to not believe in Christ, and it is to do everything that is disobedient to Christ. Jesus is Lord! Let us all believe that we receive because He is our source. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE GREAT SEPARATION!

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer a part of the world.” John 15:18

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior our time in this world has ended. Our life as we know it is to change and we are to be seen in a completely different light. We no longer believe the way the world does. We no longer look at the things of this planet as we did before. Our thoughts, our words, and our deeds are to be different. We are to change. When we do, we are separating ourselves from the people who live on this earth. We look at things through the eyes of the Lord Jesus and not through the eyes of the ways of the world. It is time for the great separation. If you have not made the decision to follow Jesus, the time is now. The clock has been ticking since Jesus left this earth over two thousand years ago. We are edging closer and closer to the mighty rapture where we will leave this earth in the twinkling of an eye. We will be separated from the wrongs of this world. It is time to separate ourselves from its ways and begin to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ! Do it now. Do not wait. Don’t miss the great trip to heaven. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE GOD WE NEED!

” The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.” Deuteronomy 4:39

” Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.” Deuteronomy 6:4

There are many Gods in this world. Throughout centuries mankind has created and served their own Gods. There have been gods in the skies. There have been those who have been created from the rocks of the earth and there have objects such as the value of the dollar and other foreign monies. Whatever we value the most in our life is our god. It may be time to take a step back and look at what is most important to us. Just what do we put first? It is sometimes hard to understand that we are to put our God in heaven at the top of that list. When we do, everything else falls into place. It is when we leave Him out that our lives begin to fall away from Him. As we begin to examine ourselves, we may see that we go to church every Sunday, we pray to Him and recognize who He is, but we don’t put Him first. We really don’t know Him. We may know of him, but we don’t have that personal relationship with Him that allows Him to work continually within our lives. We go to church and then walk right out the doors and forget what we just learned. Our actions represent the ways of the world and not the ways of our Lord. As we examine the deepest parts of our hearts it may be time to change. It may be time ask Jesus to come to us and live within us so that we can have the God we need. It may be time for a heart revival, one that changes our life forever! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

JESUS!

Jesus told them, ‘ I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’ ” John 14:6

The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does the work through me. Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.” John 14: 10-11

There is great hope in today’s world. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Over two thousand years ago Jesus addressed this very issue directly. He told those who followed him who he was and how he stood in the eyes of his Father, our God. Jesus put it plainly that he was the WAY! He explained that it is through Him that we find our way in the darkness. It is through Him that we find the truths of God’s words. Jesus is our Lord, Savior, Healer, Forgiver, and our Mediator. It is through Jesus that we reach God in heaven. As a Christian, Jesus knows us, He knows every bone in our body by name. It is through Jesus that God recognizes each of us. If Jesus does not recognize us, then God does not recognize us. We must believe, just has his disciples at the time He walked this earth, that Jesus is in the Father and the Father is in Jesus. The Way is at our fingertips. He is at our door knocking. There is still time if you have not developed that intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Do it immediately. Time is short and should not be wasted. We do not know the time nor the hour, but we do know the season for the rapture of his saints. That season is now! PRAISETHE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

SHED THE EVIL AND DISPLAY THE LOVE OF JESUS!

” Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13″35

Living our life in the world and then being asked to change our ways is often a very burdensome thing to accomplish. Over the years we have trained ourselves to live by the standards of those upon this earth. We learn the rules, and we learn of all the laws that govern us. When we ask Jesus to come into our hearts, we are asked to change the way we look at things. We are asked to do things that may look weird and strange to the world that we live in. We will be asked to put ourselves in unsettling situations so that we can allow the Lord to work in our lives. These are very important times that the Lord has put before us. We must follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit and put what we hear into action. We must replace jealousy with love. We must replace fear with faith. We must replace confusion with understanding. We must replace darkness in our life with the light of Jesus. These things may sound very doable, but I can assure you, from personal experience, that failing and asking for His forgiveness will become an everyday occurrence. I agree that it is all doable but defiantly not easy. It will take leaning upon the Lord Jesus on a daily basis. It will take a focus that will change your thoughts and words. It is all training so that our faith in the Lord becomes a part of us. It takes this training to help us allow Jesus to rule in our lives as we navigate this world. Jesus is Lord. What He asks of us is doable! However, it takes us to act upon his Holy Word, and believe that we receive, in order for the Lord to work in our lives. We must shed the evil and display the ways of Jesus! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BE PREPARED!

” The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.” Psalm 34:19

As Christians we should always be prepared. Our Lord is very explicit when he says that those who are righteous will have many troubles. If you are righteous in all of your decisions and deeds, then you are in right standing with God in heaven. Some believe that when they become followers of Christ that their lives will become much easier. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. There will be problems, and you will need the Lord to lean on and pray to, and your faith must become strong. The trust that is necessary to believe for his help must also become strong and unmoving. It is important that we pray earnestly and stay focused on Jesus. If we do not, then our faith and our trust will waver like the water of the ocean. Always be prepared! Stay close to Jesus! Pray always and trust that his answers are never far away. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

The Spirit alone gives eternal life.  Human effort accomplishes nothing. The very words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life.”  John 6:33

Sometimes in this life we all begin to feel as though we are invincible.  There is nothing that we cannot do.  However, when it comes to eternal life the worldly things we accomplish mean nothing.  What counts is the relationship we have with Jesus.  We are to accept Him as our Lord and Savior and develop a relationship with Him that is strong and never broken.  Many times, this experience comes after we have totally failed at something or we are at the end of our rope and can see no light at the end of the tunnel.  What our Lord tells us seems to be simple, but there are those in this world who will never experience the love of this relationship.  It means more than just saying you have accepted him as your Lord and Savior.  It also takes a change of life.  Our fellowship with Him is so real that our lives begin to reflect his ways, his thoughts, and words.  We no longer depend upon the world, but instead, our focus is on Jesus and the trust we have in him. The Spirit alone gives us eternal life.  We stop believing what we can physically see as the truth and begin to believe in what we cannot see as the truth.  Jesus is our Lord and Savior.  He will return soon.  Don’t miss Him!  PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

A DEDICATED LIFE!

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus- the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” Acts 20:24

In Acts 20:24 we hear Paul telling the elders of the Church of Ephesus about how important it is to him to follow the lead of Jesus. He had an assignment and that assignment was to tell the world about the message of Jesus Christ. It is the same in our lives. Our focus should be on Jesus and not the world that we live in. Our main goal should be the message of Jesus. When we prioritize our duties in life, beginning with the Lord, our total existence falls into place. We are able to live life with a free spirit and not worry about the ins and outs of the world. When we spread His message, our lives begin to have real meaning as our Lord begins to take care of us. Our faith begins to grow and our trust in him grows equally as fast. Jesus is our Lord and is coming soon. It is time to focus on our spiritual existence first and then all else will fall into place. THE CHARACTER TEST!

Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” Psalm 105:19

The Lord uses each of us in different ways. There will be times in our lives where we will be on top of the world. Everything will seem to be perfect and all that we do and think does nothing less than encourage us and make us stronger and stronger. However, there will be other times when our Lord will provide us opportunities to build our character and our faith. There will be the fires of life that will present themselves in front of us and we must show our ability to be overcomers. There will be doubt, sadness, fear, anxiety and many other times where our abilities to overcome will be tested. As we follow Christ, we must be strong. Our God wants us to show our trust in him. As we are confronted with the anxieties of life we are to endure and grow in the strength of our Lord. We are to ace the test by leaning on the truths of Jesus and believe that we receive the promises he has provided throughout centuries. We are to remember to pray in times of need. We are to depend upon his word for our way of life to be persistent in moving through all of the heat provided by this world. We are to overcome sadness with the joy of Jesus. We are to overcome fear with the strength of the faith we get from our Lord. We are to overcome anxiety by focusing on our Lord and not the things that are happening around us. When we do these things we pass the character test, just as Joseph did in his day. The time is coming soon when we all meet Jesus’ face to face. At that moment we will all want to hear him say, “JOB WELL DONE.” PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THE TWELVE HOURS OF DAYLIGHT

“There are twelve hours of daylight every day. During the day people can walk safely. They can see because they have the light of the world. But at night there is danger of stumbling because they have no light.” John 11:9-10

Jesus is described as the light of the world. It is through this great light that we are able to find our way to find safety and protection. Without Him we are walking in the darkness and are unable to see our way. The darkness brings us confusion, stumbling along the path and crashing into things as we go. However, with Him we are able to see our way. We can know without a doubt that our directions are correct. As we walk, we are able to defeat the ways of confusion, doubt and fear of the unknown. We are able to see our adversaries coming from all directions. It is with Jesus that have communication, peace of mind and the daylight we need for safety. It is through the daylight that we have the hope and the promise that we will obtain eternal light where it goes from 12 to 24 hours of daylight. Jesus is the way. There is no other! PERSECUTION!

“When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them with long life and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:15-16

Have you ever wondered if your faith and trust in the Lord is enough to get you through the persecutions that Christians are going through in today’s world? Throughout the past 2025 years, and even while Jesus walked this earth with his disciples, those who believed in his name were persecuted. Today we are seeing Christians all over the world being persecuted, beaten and killed for what they believe. The question for you and me is whether our faith is strong enough to endure what is ahead. I am not saying that every single one of us will be persecuted for being a Christian but some of us will. Persecution does not have a schedule. It never gives us time to build up our faith and trust in the Lord. That is why it is so important that we do so every day of our lives. It is important that we praise him, pray to him, read his words and put them into action within our own lives. When we do these things, we will be ready if it persecution should arrive. We must, however, live our lives so that Jesus is involved at all times. If we don’t, then there is a good chance, we will caught off guard. Our Lord God in heaven promises that he will be with us in trouble and that he will rescue us and give us salvation. He will live up to his promises, but we must be able to believe, receive and never doubt. Is this easy? Never! But practice is the best medicine we can give ourselves as we prepare for the future here on earth with our Lord Jesus. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

BE A GIVER NOT A TAKER!

Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all of your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and your gates.” Deuteronomy 6: 4-9 ———- “Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.” Psalm 105:1

Jesus was a giver and not a taker. As he traveled his path, he was always showing himself to be available for healing those who needed healing and for saving those who needed saving. He was on the road to giving the greatest gift ever! He was on the road to giving up his earthly life for us. Since his resurrection, our time to be givers has arrived. It is time for our attitudes to change. It is no longer time to be self-centered or to only think of ourselves. It is time to share and to give those who need Christ, the message he left behind. It is time to reach to the far corners of our existence and tell others of the message of Jesus. It is time for you and me to stand up and become givers, allowing those who need help, to be the takers. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS! Please visit us at: breadoflifeconversations.com

STAND UP FOR THE NAME OF JESUS!

” The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. Everyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on.” Luke 20: 17-18

The scripture today in Luke 20 is just as important in today’s world as it was in the time of Jesus. There were the Pharisees and Sadducees in the time of Jesus that would stand up and deny him to his face. They would threaten those who believed and called them blasphemers. Today we have many in this world, and in our own country, who are beginning to do the same thing. There are those who are beginning to strengthen their stand against those who believe in Christ and are becoming very bold in their actions. It is becoming more common to hear about, or to even witness, the burning of churches or even shootings and killings of Christians. This is not the time for us to become fearful and hide our heads, thinking these things will go away. I witnessed an immigrant on the news this past evening, who was damning those who were worshipping our Lords birth by just saying the phrase, ‘Merry Christmas.” They are the ones stumbling over the cornerstone of our Lord, the building block of our faith and strength. They will not last, but for as long as they do, we must stand up and not give in. We do have strong faith, understanding and wisdom from our God above. It is time to stand up and be counted for the name of Jesus! PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

THERE IS JUST SOMETHING ABOUT HIS WORD

“They searched the scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.” Acts 17:11 —– ” You are truly disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8: 31-32 —– ” Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God.” John 8:47

Paul and Silas were being fact checked. Their listeners wanted to make sure that what they were hearing was the truth. They were digging into the scriptures for themselves just to make sure. You and I are no different. It is wise to understand the bible and its content. This can truly only happen if we are in the bible and learning from it. We may not understand it all but there are those around us to answer our questions and keep us going down the right path. God’s word is amazing. It is through his word that we learn his truths, his promises and see of the miracles he has done and will continue to do. It is by praying and studying his word that we develop a stronger relationship with Jesus. We learn his personality, his meanings and his ways. We are to learn by listening, reading, meditating and praying. We are to be faithful to his teachings. We must build our faith and trust in Him. We accomplish all of these goals by getting into his word and learning. PRAISE THE LORD IN ALL THINGS!

NOT TO BE KEPT HIDDEN FOR A RAINY DAY!

” I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life. John 8:12

As followers of Christ Jesus, we are to be prominent in our thoughts and our deeds. We are not to sit back and wait until we think it is time to tell others about Christ and his life saving message. The message is embedded in our thoughts, words and deeds. We are to begin living the life we were intended to live. We must be strong in our ways and not fearful of what may happen because of our stand for Jesus. We must pray for his understanding and that he will give us the strength to move forward and spread the gospel. He is the light of the world. He is the giver of life and the refuge we seek in troubled times. He is with us when we stumble. He is with us in good times, and He is with us when we work for Him. It is time to move forward as Christians and let the world know about Jesus. As His followers we are always in His light. We are never in the darkness that surrounds the world. As He shines on the path ahead of us, we must walk in that light and be sure we are being active in his ministry. There are thousands upon thousands in this world who need to hear the message He brings. You and I are a part of that message. Let us stay strong and praise Him always! Jesus is Lord! THIS IS HIS COMMAND!

” I will not fail you or abandon you.” Joshua 1:5 ———- ” This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9——— “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

So many times, we miss the messages that God is giving us. We become so preoccupied with our earthly lives that we overlook what God is doing in our lives. As we read his mighty and holy Word, we allow his words, many times, to bypass our thoughts, and we miss miracles and the lifeline that he throws out to us each day. In Joshua 1:5 he promises us that he will not fail us or abandon us. That means he will NEVER be far from us. He is always at our fingertips. All we must do is pick up the prayer hotline and talk with Him. Instead. we are sometimes known to fear what is coming toward us. We create anxieties within ourselves, and our lives, not only become hard for us, but also for those around us. Our Lord is close at hand. He provides us strength in times of our weaknesses. He provides us with understanding in our times of confusion. He provides us with love and compassion in our times of hatred and disdain. All we must do is ask, believe and receive. Jesus is Lord! THE CHOICE YOU MUST MAKE!

“Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees and regulations by walking in his ways.” DEUTERONOMY 30: 15-16

It is sometimes very difficult to make choices in life. Making choices mean that we have to do one thing or the other. Our God is asking us to make a choice. He is asking us to decide whether we want to have eternal life with Him in heaven or to spend eternity in hell. On the surface this looks to be an easy choice to make. However, there are strong spiritual forces pulling and tugging at our every thought and action. We have been partaking of worldly ways, in one form or another, since we were born. We have been cunningly trained in the ways of evil. The time to make a choice has arrived. Our Lord is telling us it is time to take action and decide what direction we will take when we reach the fork in the road. We must decide upon whether we believe in our Lord God in heaven, and the salvation message he brings to us, or whether we want to continue down the earthly road we have been walking for years. We must make a choice upon what is seen vs what is unseen. If we chose the ways of our Lord, then we must begin to change our lives and walk with him in his ways and totally do away with what the world offers. The time has come! What choice will you make? WE HAVE NOT BEEN FORGOTTEN!

” None of their enemies could stand against them, for the Lord helped them conquer all their enemies.” Joshua 21:44 ——— But be very careful to obey all the commands and instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all of his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.” Joshua 22:5———“The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.” Psalm 103:13

As we move along in our world today the devil has a lot of fun disguising good from bad. He often plays with our minds and is able to get us to do things that are not wise and in our best interest. Time really has not changed things in the world, as God still views us all as human beings. And as the test of time has proven, humans will be humans. He still sees the same things happening in the world, whether it occurred three thousand years ago or in today’s world. Just as in the days of Joshua God still helps us. He gives us the ability to overcome problems in our lives. He still requires that we follow his ways and live accordingly. He still requires that we hold fast to him and not let go. We are still to serve him, just as in the days of Noah, Moses and Abraham. Nothing has really changed as far as God is concerned. He has always loved us and proved it even further with the gift of Jesus to the world. We must hold on to that gift and never let go. We must keep our focus and always live in the ways of our God in heaven. It is sometimes convenient to believe that our Lord has forgotten us and has left us to be eaten by the ways of this world. Nothing could be further from the truth. He loved humans thousands of years ago and still loves us today. God has not changed! We must continue to honor and obey him without hesitancy and doubt. COME TO THE LORD!

” Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy.” Psalm 100:1-2

” But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” John 4:14

It should always be remembered that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be returning soon. When he returns, those who have died with the hope of his return in their hearts, will rise and go with Him. Then, those of us who remain upon this earth, will also be taken up in the twinkling of an eye to go with him to glory. Since the time that Jesus ascended into the clouds, after His resurrection, people have believed of His return. They were constantly looking upward because of the belief they had in their hearts. You and I live in a time where all of the prophesies, that needed to be met for his return, have taken place. It is important that you and I look upward and not downward. Our focus should be on the sky above and not on the depths below. It is time to come to Christ Jesus if you have not. It is time to declare yourself a sinner, ask for His forgiveness and accept him as your Lord and Savior. Allow your life to change in an attempt to practice for your eternal life with Jesus in heaven. It is time to recognize and declare to the world that Jesus is Lord and not the world!
